Where do you rank Abdul-Jabbar among the all-time greats in NBA history?
Easily top 3 of all time and I'm a Celtics fan who hates the Lakers and everything they stand for but his career speaks for itself he's one the greatest ever
Actually I'm one of the few people that say he's the greatest. I think its because of Jabbar's name and social stance is why he gets disrespected.
2nd
Top Shelf did everything Jordan did and more. Wilt is the Goat individual player wise . Bill Russell is the greatest winner team wise. Then there's Bird, Magic,Oscar ,Olajuwon,Isaiah, Lebron, Kobe r.i.p , Moses r.i.p and my self. Lol
Jabbar number 1 than LeBron than magic than Jordan.
Finally I've be screaming this for years thank you Chris for not making me look like a psycho.
so if you had the first pick and Kareem, Jordan and Lebron are on the board, who ya got with your first pick, who you got with your 2nd pick?
If you leave me Lebron I can put together a Team that crushes your Team because Lebron makes those around him better.
@@somedudeontwitterstalkedme3829 I'll take Kareem I don't think it's much you can do even if you have LeBron
@@h.o.w.ahowsmoovprod.3154 everyone is, that is why this whole debate is so funny.
@@somedudeontwitterstalkedme3829 people need to do their research and really need to understand that Kareem is the man you don't get 38,000 and some change without putting in work.
Tazmon Sims Kareem is the caption without a caption on your team your team is lost lol
The media is the reason he's slept on. You constantly push the Jordan vs LeBron narrative.
That's part of the reason. The other reason is that the GOAT conversation is always skewed against big men, because their style of play is less flashy and more efficient. It's harder to stand out when most of your buckets are two feet from the basket.
1977/78 season: Prime Kareem lost in the First Round to a team, whose best players were Rookie Jack Sikma HoF,
Gus Williams and Dennis Johnson HoF.
Kareem had Adrian Dantley HoF, Jamaal Wilkes HoF.
But Kareem still lost even with that help.
If it was MJ, old crazy heads would crucify him.
Kareem is the most overrated player of all time. Kareem is lucky that he almost always had a super team.
@@allanhouston6759 the dude had a broken hand bruh
ThunderFart Reviews just let him be an idiot
This is something weird but why is everyone forgetting Kareem college career because the GOAT of bball isnt just nba it is a total career lmao
I thank you sooooo much for bringing this to light Chris! The utter disrespect for Kareem is disgusting. No one has had a more storied basketball career from High School, College and to the Pro's than Kareem has. If you choose to do your homework it (his career and accomplishments) speak loudly for themselves. Appreciate this Chris Broussard. Salute!!
It's a shame when they talk about the so-called goat I believe Kareem is very rarely seldom mention I wasn't Kareem Abdul-Jabbar fan nor was I a Lakers fan back in my youth but I respect the man on and off the court, thank you for giving him love I appreciate it keep up the great work👍👍👍
Kobe and kareem seem to always get disrespected by the media
Very true.. And it´s a disgrace.
You’re putting Bryant up there with Abdul-Jabbar? I don’t know, Hassan🤔
Kareem has the ultimaye goat case. Arguably greatest basketball career from high school to nba
It’s about time Kareem gets his due. MJ is winning the popularity contest but basketball is a scoring contest. Look at what Kareem accomplished in high school, college, and the NBA. He’s the most accomplished of all basketball players. Scoreboard!!! Look at the scoreboard because it will tell you who the winner is.
He won on every level
Basketball is a scoring contest? Well in that case Jordan is still the GOAT, he has 10 scoring titles to Kareem’s 2.
If Jordan had played 20 years like Kareem then he’d have the most points all-time too.
@@iNostraD exactly.
@Tod Wilkinson No Doubt. It can be very, very easy especially for really tall players in high school to dominate. I actually think these people are doing Kareem a disservice by bringing up High School. College is different because while you will see smaller players compared to the pros it is still an upgrade in both talent and size.
What? Basketball is game where you dominate on both ends not who scores the most.
Kareem is number 1 greatest of all time the numbers says it.. number 1 in scoring with the most beautiful unstoppable shot in history
KAREEM & WILT MOST DISRESPECTED GREATS OF ALL TIME!!!!
Nobody roots for goliath.
@@missayawk 😥😥😥
i totally agree with you
Add also Bill Russell and Bird
KAREEM IS THE 🐐 IF HE HAD NIKE BEHIND HIM HIS LEGACY WOULD BE DIFFERENT. GREATNESS ON AND OFF THE COURT.
Close , but I always contend that if he is still Lew Alcindor then we are never forgetting his greatness
This was way too late! The original GOAT! Won on every level of the game. Much respect to Michael Jordan, but Kareem Abdul Jabbar is my favorite. His class and dignity was a perfect example of how to carry yourself in the face of prejudice and racism. Humility is also big asset of his. While he should revered for his excellence and intelligence He has been very unappreciated. Our great President Obama honored this man. Many books written, acting roles, philanthropy and just a wonderful human being!
Kareem ABDUL Jabbar is the reason Journalists and Sportswriters are the judges of MVP'S instead of PLAYERS sincerely since 1980
Kareem was winning too many and still has The Most
1975/76 season: Prime Kareem missed the Playoffs ( Record: 40-42 ) and won the MVP in the same year.
Many talented players from the 70s, played in the ABA league.
He had almost no competitors.
@@allanhouston6759 That is why he won at least 2 more MVPs after the ABA-NBA merger? K.
He's the greatest center ever and the most accomplished basketball player in history.
You mean Roger Murdoch, the airline pilot?
lol!
THANK YOU. Kareem is criminally underrated!!
Kareem is the 🐐 everybody else after that
Love this segment Chris!
Jordan and Kareem are one and two all time
kareem then lebron then mj
@@gowthamvarmadantuluri6385 How can Kareem be better than MJ if he wasn"t even the best player on his team ? ?
Kareem is the most overrated player in history.
Simple
@@allanhouston6759 Magic or Oscar never won a ring without Kareem Abdul Jabbar. Overrated yea right. The only NBA player to win a Finals MVP at 38 years old and still has the NBA record for most points in a career. Last but not least has the most unstoppable shot ever that no player since has duplicated.
Lewis Alcindor(soon to become Kareem) started changing the game while still in HS. The first freshman to make All-City in NY High School basketball, he lost 1 game in his HS career! He then duplicated that record at UCLA. He then went to the NBA & became even more of a legend. If you don't include him in the top 5 of the best players of all time, you're stupid.
The GOAT. Period.
Bill. Kareem. Wilt. Those 3 are the greatest basketball players who ever lived. They all could share #1 spot as the Goat in the NBA. But, Kareem is the Greatest Basketball Player of All Time. Every level. He may be the Greatest Athlete Ever along with Jim Thorpe.
Wilt Chamberlain played vs plumbers.
no that honor goes to Wilt ...
He supported Ali during a time when black athletes stood up against racism.....THAT'S THE REASON THIS MAN ISN'T DISCUSSED IN THE G.O.A.T conversation. The mainstream media does not want to bring attention to what Kareem did as an advocate for black people.
Tod Wilkinson you sound like a little girl. If that’s really her everything she said was right on the money. White American born players make up maybe and I do mean maybe 10% of the league today its African Americans and Europeans. I wouldn’t of watched the league in those years either it was a joke. Nothing wrong with saying black people are better at basketball. You shouldn’t call somebody racist just because they are speaking facts that make you uncomfortable grow up.
In my view, Kareem Abdul Jabbar has ALWAYS been a REAL GOAT. 🐐
The NBA Mount Rushmore: Jordan, Kareem, Magic & Bird.
Darius Clark smfh imho Moses Kareem and Russ most underrated/disrespected legends ever
Lebron passed Magic and MOST DEFINITELY Bird
@@shasankamadduri1998 he passed noone. Magic 9 finals 5 wins.
Stick to those 6 losses.
@@DsLmaNiaC He has more of everyhting except for rings and assists
@@DsLmaNiaC He has more of everything compared to Bird, tied in chips but also has more fmvps
Whoa crazy timing, literally just watched Kareem: Minority of One (which I highly recommend)
If Kareem isn’t in your top 3 at the very least you don’t know basketball. And of all the great centres who have played there really shouldn’t be discussion for who everyone’s big man is when making all time starting fives
Best high school player ever best college player ever and arguably the best nba player ever the tru GOAT
As a kid I know Braoussard lol... IMO Kareem is the GOAT; Resume as a hooper is epic.
Please create a seperate playlists for this type of video. How great he was.
Factz Good look Chris Let Em Know Kareem A Great Man!!!!!
New York's Finest Power Memorial!!!
This is pretty accurate Kareem is my greatest player
70s Kareem is my GOAT
@Tamika Griffin to be honest I just watched 1974 Celtics-Bucks finals and was kind of disappointed. Let me switch to early 80s Kareem. Lol
That's how you are treated when you talk and act in honest and class manner like Kareem. People just discredited him.
It’s ludicrous not to include KAJ in your elite GOAT group, which for me has to be no more than 10 guys, sort of a GOAT All-Pro team. My list does include Kareem, Michael, Bill Russell, Wilt, Jerry West, Dr. J, Kobe, Duncan, Hakeem and Larry Bird. No current players, but we all know Lebron is on that list the minute he retires.
wilt chamberlain.....they changed several NBA rules....he holds 72 NBA records....hands down he's the GOAT
Wilt Chamberlain played vs plumbers.
Too much losing. If he’s the goat, then by the standards, Lebron Shoukd be 2. He’s 4th. Kareem has a better career than wilt
@@allanhouston6759 and you are still helping yourself in the basement
@@TheIcemanthomas it's a team sport dude
Wilt never won or lost by himself period
did jordan win without Pippen ??
He is the GOAT. I knew that since i was a kid in the 90s.
Chris school these young cats keep up the great work my brother ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
This man was so famous he featured in a movie with Bruce Lee. This was supposed to be mentioned in the video. One of the greatest players ever!!!!!
These videos are awesome and so needed! Chris rules.
Great Work!!! The fans need to know that!!
Kareem's not talked about as the GOAT, because you and other media will not bring his name up, but he probably is the GOAT.
Any 🐐 conversation without Kareem is not a 🐐 conversation.
NBA Mount Rushmore: Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, No Mo Talk
Wilt, Kareem, Jordan. 1, 2, & 3
Great, Great player
One of my favorite human beings. I'm old😃😃😃
Thanks Chris for shining a light on one of the best to ever play. I always have considered him number 2. I think MJ is the goat. But if you ended up with Kareem on your team instead of MJ you wouldn’t have one regret. He was always good for a deuce, great shot blocker and willing passer. Even though it doesn’t matter while talking about pure skill, he is a very good man.
G.O.A.T 🔥🔥
Thanks!!! Now we know!!
Thanks Chris.... We needed that
Amazing video thank you for this one!
He’s the best. Show some respect youngsters
The real goat
Kareem is not GOAT. He wasn"t even the best player on his team.
Thank you Fox for not spreading the Jordan machine and being objective and precise about the NBA and it's history
The greatest basketball résumé in the history of the sport.
Without question his basketball resume tops everyone.
He lost 4 games combined in high school & college, to go with 5 national championships...that's absurd!!
Let’s gooo finally some respect for Kareem
Great content man, i have KAJ and MJ on the Mt Rushmore of NBA Greats... Maybe your perspective will have me adding two more on my list.
Bravo Chris!
Chris Broussard elevated his credibility to the highest heights with this piece. Body of work is always the measuring stick and Kareem's high school, college, and pro stats are unparalleled. Kareem has the goods and is hands down the greatest basketball player of all time.
Thank you Chris!
Greatest Basketball Player in Organize Sports
People forget he was the man in the 1980 championship run. He won league MVP that year. If he didn’t get hurt in the Finals, he would’ve gotten the Finals MVP award.
Only person I've seen block Kareem's skyhook at its APEX was 6'8" Bill Willoughby ( he came straight from HS to the pros).Ive seen others come from behind and knock the ball away while he started his move, but Bill caught it at the top.The only others who possibly might have also done so is Wilt and maybe Nate Thurmond. That shot was truly unstoppable.
Kareem is the most accomplished basketball player of all time.
I don't care for greatest player(s), I care about best basketball player(s).
Greatness has SOME luck to it. For example, Imagine if Garnett didn't waste all those years in Minnesota?
What if Pippen didn't play with Jordan?
What if Reggie Miller didn't play during Jordan's Bulls and the Kobe &Shaq ers ?
So greatness sometimes is beyond your control.
I like to go with best. Total skill set, era. I.Q, Natural abilities etc.
This generation is about buckets! And he's the all time leader enough said.
Kareem had the best career EVER. HE WON ON EVERY LEVEL. High school, college, NBA. He’s a winner period. The only reason he isn’t mentioned up there like that is because of his relationship with the media.
Hes best basketball player ever to walk this earth !!
Someone show this to Skip Bayless.
AMAZING
Tell 'em, Chris! Would love to see a Bob Pettit video!
at the end of the day the goat is the person they changed rules for to help everyone else because you are so unstoppable. With that being said Kareem and Wilt are the goats. Jordan had rules changed to help him=no goat great player no goat.we have to study history not what is just happening today.
Been saying that for years.Especially when they make rules to diminish your greatness and you're STILL great even after they tried to stop you.
Kareem #2 on his team. Wilt even is not top 10.
Thanks Chris!
Wilt's post fade and fingeroll was more unstoppable than the skyhook.
Who stopped Dirk's One Legged Fadeaway?
@@soloistdeve D Wade lol. Wilt's post fade>Dirk's.
@@user-pu3cf9pd2m What about Hakeem's Dreamshake?
@@soloistdeve Keep bringing up everything but Wilt's fade is the most unstoppable move..
Wilt da stilt blocked the sky hook
Wow!
anyone remembers that about two years ago Chris Broussard said that Kobe Bryant is not even in his top 10 !!?
It's the media's fault. They cow tow to the viewing audience of the youngsters. Lebron is EVEN in the discussion as great as he is. Its between MJ, Kareem and Wilt. Wilt even gets less respect. The man scores 100 in a game, averaged 50 a whole season, got 55 rebounds against the great bill russell, scored over 50 118 times, scored over 65 11 times, lead the league in assists one season and average 30 and 22 for a career. He also won 2 titles. I'm not saying hes the GOAT but all of this SHOULD put him in the conversation. ESPN NEVER has him in the top 5. Now that is a shame. Broussard...make it right...give him his due.
Kareem is the best basketball player of all time.
No.
Goat!!! No better resume
The all star✨
There's a few Centers that don't get enough GOAT talk
Straight facts
The GOAT
Yep...Yep...Lettem...Know...Fam...One Love Fa'Sho...
Kareem is the cream🍨❄️🍧🍦💯
Please do one on Earl the Pearl Monroe or Moses Malone(The forgotten great big man)
I'm sure it's been posted, but, don't forget the footprint to Bruce Lee's chest while wearing them sweet shades.
How can anyone argue about Kareem being in the GOAT discussion? Kids just dont know
Definitely a top five all time player
No sh** 🤦🏾♂️
If u judge a goat by only stats it’s hard to find anyone that compares.
This is Great. I think the NBA is to blame for the disrespect Jabbar has suffered.
Jabbar is just behind Jordan All Time
no he isn't ...both have 6 rings ...KAJ has 3 ncaa titles and MJ only 1 ...Kareem has 6 MVP trophies MJ 4
@@mariovh Since when NCAA has to do anything with the NBA status as a GOAT?
How about Jordan having 6 Finals MVPs while Jabbar just 2? How about Jordan scoring 30.1 ppg vs Jabbar 24.7?? How about Jordan 10 scoring titles against just 2 of Jabbar? Lmao
Stop reaching bruh Lmao
You forgot he was also a student of Bruce Lee
The problem with Kareem is that , the guy isolated himself ; he was never opened to communicate with people ; as a muslim, he should have talked to people and explained better his position as a basket ball player and a believer ; he failed to do that . But i still respect him
It is an individual choice how much one chooses to relate to & with others. But you are right. It definitely didn't help.
I usually disagree with Chris, but this time he´s right on the money.
Cap certainly deserves to be in the GOAT category. One of the greatest to ever do it.
I'm glad I didn't need anyone to tell me this why because I'm an 80s baby
Kareem dominated college with a college basketball program as the NCAA wasn't what it is today, didn't deserve his last 3 all-star appearances, Kareem should not have been the MVP having not making the playoffs, He's a 2x Finals MVP with 6 rings, Why was he not named finals MVP 6x? Kareem missed the playoffs twice in the middle of his prime, Kareem sold out of Milwaukee to LA, Kareems resumé maybe one of the most well deceived but he is definitely 2nd in the GOAT conversation
Chris why didn't you play some highlights with this audio?!
Chris Broussard is the GOAT of all NBA analysts. This man can school anyone.
Correct me if I’m wrong, please.
With Kareem able to guard the paint, and Cooper on ball off the inbound, they could run a “legal” zone, and trap??
Chris has a two cm vertical leap, that was an old man hook
