    Baza sees car on bridge, baza still believes he has right of way...baza sees van on bridge, baza moves forward thinking the same thing. Baza doesn't learn, don't be baza

    • @paulharper4196
      @paulharper4196 Před 6 lety +7

      The car may have already been on the bridge as baza got there, so that one is contentious, however if you see the signs on the approach, baza does indeed have priority over the oncoming vehicles, so the transit driver was wrong to enter the bridge and hopefully baza stood his ground and made him back up.

      *The rules in The Highway Code do not give you the right of way in any circumstance, but they advise you when you should give way to others. Always give way if it can help to avoid an incident.*

      If I really wanted to be annoying I would have stayed put. From my side of the bridge it is impossible to see any oncoming traffic. . Also there was another car right behind me so I could not move any faster than them. He never took anytime to look before crossing he must have been able to see two cars coming and he just chanced itWhen coming the other way in 10 years I have never crossed when anybody is oncoming. I could have approached it a bit slower. Lol what was he thinking getting out.

      Agreed, that clip scared the shit out of me. Good job the kid was paying attention. Just goes to show you need to be constantly looking when crossing the road even when there's a pelican crossing! Always some cunt out there to get ya! I don't know what the original clip quality is like, personally I would have caught up to the guy at the next junction to make sure I had a clear image of it and then handed it to the police. Not that they'd do anything sadly.

      That was straight-up Dangerous Driving, something which lands you straight in Crown or Scottish High Court and can't be dealt with by police TOR.
      If the kid had been killed we're talking Death by Dangerous Driving. Likely 10 years inside and a whopping driving ban, possibly even for life.

      Christopher Roe-Bullion I am inclined to agree in general, but what is plainly obvious to you or I apparently isn't obvious at all to half the numpties with these cameras. It seems their brains are too slow to appreciate what they're seeing and take very minor steps to avoid these little conflicts. I'd say they were actively looking for confrontations, but I suspect that's giving them too much credit. They're more likely just a bit dim and need far too long for their brains to process the information coming from their eyes.

      +Bad Drivers of Northamptonshire *You may have 'Right of way' however...*
      I hate to point this out to you, but there's no such thing as a 'Right of way' on the road in the UK.
      If you look at the overview for rules 103-158 in the highway code, it says;
      *The rules in The Highway Code do not give you the right of way in any circumstance, but they advise you when you should give way to others. Always give way if it can help to avoid an incident.*
      I've found it's very common for people to flip the concept of 'give way' into "If they are expected to 'give way', then I have the 'right of way'.... but it doesn't work like that.
      Think of it this way.... the opposite of 'you are what you eat'..... makes you a cannibal! ;^)

    Most impressive person this week for me is Baza. Absolutely well done mate. Why? Because he has the balls to come on here, put his hands up and admit the failures in his driving. Very few people in these clips ever admit their driving was below par. The old adage ‘treat everyone on the road like idiots’ is wrong and should be completely ignored. The first step in any incident is analyse your own contribution to the situation. Could you have gone a bit slower. Should you have hung back a little and let the others sort themselves out. People are far too intolerant of others, more so when they’re cocooned within the safety of their tin boxes. I guess it keeps me in a job... scraping your brains off the tarmac. I hope the X5 driver over the crossing is duly prosecuted for dangerous driving.

    • @johnnewman1422
      @johnnewman1422 Před 6 lety +4

      The adage about treating everyone else on the road as an idiot is not wrong -you merely seem to have misinterpreted it. It does not mean ‘shout and scream at everyone else even when it’s you that fucks up’. It means that you should assume everyone else is an idiot and therefore likely to do something stupid, like pull out in front of you, or make a last second change of lane etc. If you assume they are likely to do something stupid, you are far more likely to avoid them when they do. Adage correct, ignore it at your peril.

    Signs show speed limits in miles per hour (mph) or use the national speed limit (NSL) symbol. The speed limit is 70 mph (112km/h) on motorways, 70 mph (112km/h) on dual carriageways, 60 mph (96km/h) on single carriageways and 30 mph (48km/h) in areas with street lighting (restricted roads).

    Well, an interesting question given the WORDING of the question. I am an ex-pat Brit now living in British Columbia, Canada. The maximum speed that a vehicle CAN drive on a motorway in the UK is whatever speed the vehicle is capable of! If it's a high-performance car, then it could be well in excess of 120 mph or much greater. That's what it CAN do. Now, as far as the maximum speed that a vehicle can LEGALLY drive would depend on the type of vehicle, and other LEGAL restrictions. Always good videos incidentally, and always look forward to them. Cheers.

    On dual carriageways or motorway a car is suposed to be driven at 70mph maximum , a Transit van, being a goods vehicle and not a "car derived van", is restricted by its class to a speed limit of 60mph. * The speed limit for goods vehicles not exceeding 7.5 tonnes is 60mph on motorways if the vehicle is articulated or towing a trailer.
