I wonder what this means for Shelly. I’ve been saying all year I don’t think she will be fast this year. In the rounds, she jumped out of the blocks with force like she was really trying, her speed looks fast as if she’s trying, but she doesn’t look as strong. I wonder if she really is this slow now, OR if she decided to load very heavily right now in effort to try and get the best times out in Paris. The more loaded, the faster later. Was this strategic or is she about done? I think the latter, but I’m happy she’s going to Paris and hope she at least makes the final and one final salute to the GOAT!
