    It may have been a long video, but it gave me something to watch / listen too while getting ready for work and while having supper.
    At least you'll know this car inside and out once it's fixed up.
    Cheers.

    when i got my 2004 zetec s last year, the brake caliper carrier bolts were completely seized and rusted together tight. I had to slowly drive to the local garage to get them to cut them off. Its so irritating when people overtighten stuff that will need replacing

    Hey, love the videos very entertaining and as I own a 510 too! please Don’t use the 5w30 you need high zinc content and I’ve found the classic car oil from Halfords or millers 20w50 has the high zinc content needed for the cam and rockers (zddp)
    With the 5w30 the cam will wear out

      @@MrHVlogsMore you should also be able to rotate the top of the fuel pump to correct orientation to make it work with how you want the fuel lines

      Halfords Classic 20W50 is what I've used in mine so far, no issues to report

    Dilution is typically unburnt fuel from the combustion chamber reaching the oil either by poor valve seals leaking or blow-by on the rings.
    A compression test would be a good start to determine health of the engine. A leak down test will show where dilution is coming from.
    Under pressure at tdc if the crank case is hissing air it from the rings.

    • @MrHVlogsMore
      @MrHVlogsMore  Před rokem +2

      It's from the fuel pump diaphragm

      Yeah absolutely! And good news on the brakes too 🤓

  • @kcfolancomedyoferrors5813

    In the carburettor fuel cut off float, they might be jammed open Convertible over fuel loud. And that will sit in the cylinder work its way round piston rings go into the sump get a compression test done to the engine I hope that helps

    • @MrHVlogsMore
      @MrHVlogsMore  Před rokem +1

      It was the fuel pump diaphragm, when it's gone, it lets fuel come into the engine, that's what it was. Fuel pump is changed out. Runs nicely now and to confirm I'm right in my thoughts, I'll be doing another oil change before she goes away for winter 😊 thanks though! I really appreciate all the help and advice
