- Hey everyone! Today I'm going to show you how to make these easy donut treats for hamsters.
Hope you enjoy the video!
~Some More Info~
Like I mention in the beginning of the video, these are not necessarily the healthiest treats. Especially if you use yogurt drops for frosting like I did. That being said, some of the ingredients can be substituted for healthier ones as mentioned in the video.
The treats I made were frosted with 2 melted yogurt drops, mixed with water and flour. However, even thought this isn't necessarily the best option, the donuts are not as sugary as giving your hamster an entire yogurt drop as the frosting was spread over an array of donuts. This way each donut only has a SUPER small amount of yogurt drop topping.
If anyone is concerned because one of these treats were fed to a dwarf hamster (who are prone to diabetes) I assure you that the sugar content is very small since only a tiny portion of peanut butter and yogurt drop is in an individual donut. 🙂 As well as Olive is not the hamster to gorge herself on food, she eats a very, very small portion and hides it in her big hoard.
~I would only ever feed a single donut treat per week~
Let me know if you plan to make these treats!
~And for better video quality, you might want to use the high quality option, or hit advanced then the 1080 pixels option. I feel like some parts in the video get pretty grainy in the automatic viewing quality. 😅

Thank you so much!
Oh my gosh, it certainly was a lot harder making these with tiny utensils 🤣. I actually had to tape down the bowl because it kept moving around since it's so light haha.
GREAT JOB RILEY!!!!🐹

I just put them in the oven I can't wait!
Cool! Hope Harry enjoys them!
Hii it's been a while since I've been on your channel! How are you?
can gerbils have these?
I'm not sure, as I'm not too educated on gerbil care. Sorry about that!
So what if you don’t have yogurt or those hamster melt treats?
You could use a mashed up fruit (such as strawberry or raspberry) mixed with flour as a substitute. But you don't need frosting at all if you don't have it! 😉 It's really for decoration purposes.
@@Allthingshamster alrighty thanks, the donuts were already made and I thought I had Greek yogurt😅😅
@@kokichiouma5170 No problem. I hope your hamster likes the treats!
@@Allthingshamster he loved them thanks!
Are these safe for winter white hamsters?
Yes they are! Just try not to give the donuts too much frosting on top. It's the most sugary bit of the recipe and just shouldn't be given in excess to a dwarf hamster. :)
@@Allthingshamster so helpful thanks alot! :))
