- A super easy, 3 ingredient treat to make for your hamster, mouse or rat! These treats can be hung from a kabob or given as they are. Plus if you aren't allowed to use an oven you can put the treats in the freezer overnight instead!
Not suitable for rabbits or guinea pigs.

Rebecca Sun Aww thank you! :) I would love to own rats but it's unlikely to ever happen as you can't get rats as pets in my country and because of that you can't buy rat supplies either. Even if I was able to find somewhere that sold rats I wouldn't be able to get any supplies to care for them properly. :(

Thank you so much for this recipe. It’s so easy and my hamster cookie, loves them I put them on a string with chews and other snacks and hung it in his cage and he loves it. He doesn’t show any signs of boredom anymore.

My hamster loves this recipe! I make it with chia seeds, oatmeal, almonds, quinoa, a bit of her regular seed food mix, and Buckwheat flour. I have to put only one on the string once in a while because she eats it so fast!

I think this could also work with oatmeal, flour, water and some seeds added...or oatmeal, flour and a small amount of crushed nuts ...or some sugar free, fat free, whole grain cormflakes crumbled in as an additive...so much ideas but i have no hamster to give it to :(

Millet, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds are all favourites of my little Nala but what comes in your hamsters food mix is good enough :). Twine and sisal string are fine.

Do u still not give ur hamsters millet as a treat I remember when there was loads of theese insect things in the tub with the millet

I did that and it turned out fine. But my hamster's food mix is mostly different types of seeds.
yep. Thats what she meant. just take out any of the bigger seeds (sunflower seeds etc.) and any colorful fun bits. ;)
where did you get your hamsters cage?! did you make it? mine lives in a 40 gallon fish tank but i want to find him a bigger and better cage. any suggestions?
