Spain’s Most UNDERRATED City - Granada, Spain 4k 🇪🇸 (Granada Spain Vlog)

  • In today’s video, I take you with me as I explore Granada, Spain, a charming city in Spain’s southern Andalusia region. In this Granada Spain Vlog, I will show you all of the best things to do in Granada, from visiting the Granada Alhambra, to walking through the picturesque neighborhoods, and taking you to the best markets. I loved exploring Granada, Spain, so I hope you enjoy my Granada, Spain tour!
To start off my day in Granada, Spain I took a walk along Calle Del Darro, which is a charming cobblestone street running along the river that opens up into one of the best plazas in Granada, Plaza Nueva. Despite being called the “New Plaza”, Plaza Nueva is actually home to some of the oldest buildings in the city. After enjoying a quick breakfast and people watching in the plaza, I climb the hill to Granada, Spain’s most famous attraction, the Granada Alhambra. Visiting the Alhambra is an absolute must in Granada! The Granada Alhambra was once the fortress of the Nasrid Dynasty, which was the last Islamic Kingdom in Western Europe. The Alhambra in Granada, Spain is absolutely massive, with so much to explore. Inside the Granada Alhambra, you can see where the Nasrid Kings use to live and relax, as well as incredible views of the city of Granada. The three main sections of the Granada Alhambra are the Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba, and the Generalife Gardens.
After exploring the incredible Alhambra, I walked over to the Albaicin neighborhood, which is an old Moorish area with narrow cobblestone streets and beautiful white homes. In the Albaicin neighborhood, make sure to check out the Mirador de San Nicolas for incredible views of the Granada Alhambra. Next in my Granada Spain Vlog, I walked over to the Sacromonte Neighborhood, which is most known for its cave homes. Many years ago, residents of the Sacromonte Neighborhood in Granada Spain use to live in caves. However, nowadays, the residents live in more modern homes, but it’s still a great place to explore an old cave to see how the Sacromonte residents use to live.
Next up on my Granada Spain tour, I head to the Alcaiceria Market, which is a Moroccan style market, with so much to explore. The Alcaiceria market in Granada is a great place to learn about Moroccan culture and buy some cool souvenirs. To end my time in Granada Spain I roamed around Plaza de Bib-Rambla and watched the sunset on a rooftop terrace over the city of Granada.
I hope you enjoyed my Granada Spain Vlog! Granada is such a charming city, and is definitely worth a visit if you are in southern Spain!

OMG, this video brings back such great memories. When you were in Plaza Nueva, there is a narrow street opposite it that leads up to the back gate of the Alhambra. We stayed at pension Alfin on that street, just 50 feet from the back gate. It made for a beautiful hike up to the main entrance through gorgeous gardens. The Alhambra was breathtaking. Also, at the foot of that narrow street across from the plaze is a café called La Gran Taberna, which luckily for us, served food at a late hour. The Albaicín neighborhood was one of our favorites. The small square where you show the gentleman dancing is right next to one of our favorite restaurants, Estrellas de San Nicolás. We had dinner there on the second floor and watched the Alhambra light up as our dinner progressed. The Sacromonte neighborhood was also one of our favorites with another of our eating spots, Café Gabriel. We also hiked the Sierra Nevada mountains right above the city. This was the second city we visited after Madrid. It was tempting not make our move from the U.S. to Granada, but after seeing Sevilla, we decided that was the place instead. Only three more years.

I spent 5 weeks recently in Andalusia, Spain...and Granada was my favorite. Cadiz the only city in I visited in Spain with drunks, homeless bums and trash everywhere.

How can the city that is home to the most visited national monument in the country be underrated? Washington Irving wrote 'Tales from the Alhambra' there, even Bill Clinton was there.
