I blame the coaching mostly. Ingram got 6 carries for 22 yds, Lamar threw the ball 60 times, the defense gave up 195 rush yds to Henry. They were off for 3 weeks and didn't prepare properly.
The most baffling thing to me honestly. The run was working. And yet they still decided to abandon the very thing that made them so dangerous. The fact that gus and ingram only had 9 combined touches is unacceptable

SNEADLEVISION SLOTMAN it wasn’t his fault, but it also wasn’t not his fault. I don’t need to explain how Lamar had a bad game, he simply did and we all know it, it’s going to happen at some point. However the coaches in my opinion didn’t abandon their game plan quick enough. The ravens offense isn’t built to come from behind, or to play against a dwindling clock. The titans were forcing Lamar inside and took and early lead. They essentially killed their running schemes by the beginning of the 2nd quarter. I don’t think it’s really anyone’s fault per say. The titans simply played better and their key players stepped up more than the ravens key players.
You don't get more accurate in the NFL. It just doesn't happen. He is who he is. He is runner who creates one on ones because defenses are scared of that ability. If he can't run, he doesn't get those favorable matchups.
He's the James Harden of football. He's an exciting player who can win regular season games. But his style of play isn't sustainable in the playoffs.

@@jackthederp And you are an idiot and knows nothing about football. First of all you have to look at who Vick had to throw the ball to. None of his WRs could get separation from defenders. Vick couldn't put the ball where it needed to be because the defenders were right there. He didn't have a Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Tyreek Hill, T.O., Travis Kelce...great route runners, WRs with tremendous speed that could take the top off of a defense like Moss and beat double coverages.
So if you ran a route, a QB knows where you "should" be and where a defender "should" be. Vick had to force a lot of throws into very tight windows due to most of his WRs not being Elite. Had Moss or Rice been on Vick's team...his passing numbers would be a whole lot better.
He had to run a lot and scramble a lot because no one could get open. Mahomes have great Receivers so his running a little bit can create a lot of havoc because his Receivers know how to get open. Vick started to run and his Receivers would just stand there looking...

Vick didn’t have slouches in Atlanta. The reason his passing numbers weren’t great and he ran a lot is because he did not have the football IQ to go deep into his progressions.
Just watch some film and you’ll see guys get open by play design and scheme and Vick would pass it up. One of the reasons he struggled was due to his inability to throw with anticipation. Vick would not begin his throwing motion unless he saw a receiver WIDE open. But there are play designs made to beat certain coverages where the receiver will be open but only in a certain window. Which means you have to read this, be decisive, and begin your throwing motion well before the receiver enters this window.
Vick would not do that. Same as Lamar against the titans. Which is why they both failed. Vick developed further when he was with the eagles but still was inconsistent in terms of IQ and reading coverages/recognizing blitzes. Something Lamar also was garbage at against the titans

I've been a Ravens fans since 1996 and have lived through QB's such as Stoney Case, Kyle Boller, Elvis Grbac, Chris Redman, Eric Ziere, Scott Mitchell, etc. I have seen my team have the best defense in NFL history during the 2000 season. I've seen them go on an impromptu run in 2012 to win Superbowl 47. But I've NEVER during the history of the Baltimore Ravens seen them recieve so much HATE until they had a successful African American QB. All I see is "I HATE THE RAVENS", " I'M GLAD THEY LOST ", " I'M SICK OF HEARING ABOUT THE RAVENS ", "LAMAR IS GONNA GET HURT". It's crazy.

Brameriz Bon Vick was basically the same as Lamar during that peak year when he hit 1k rushing yards but he didn’t get markedly better as a QB. He improved but never enough to become elite. So I think it’s safe to say Lamar’s ceiling is slightly above Vick’s. Which means he’ll never be the best QB in the league strictly from a QB skill set/standpoint 🤷♂️

The RPO is the Ravens bread and butter and not having Ingram really affected the gameplan, and threw off Lamar because now he had to do everything himself being behind 2 scores. I think early on in the game (Ravens first possession) if Andrews makes that catch down field and it dosent deflect off his hands for an INT - the outcome may have been different. Henry had all his yards in the 2nd half and was contained in the first half. But saying all that - they still didn't get the job done two years in a row - 2 losses. They looked flat and unprepared. Maybe it was the long layoff. Idk.

If Lamar was able to run, like he usually does nobody would be blaming weapons. Titans did their job.

Mahomes has weapons in that regard that are much better than Jackson does. LJ needs a big body wr to help move the chains when the other options are not available (Maybe Boykin, another rookie will turn into that). And with all the drops, better hands as well. When teams take away or limit the run, he needs to have more options in the pass game. He's shown this year he's more than capable throwing the ball.
