This was the first video I ever watched when I got my first phone 5 years ago and the only fishing video I had ever watched period and I still find myself going back and watching this video and loving every second of it, it reminds me of being little again. And I still live by your saying “keep fishing never stop” it’s always stuck with me. Thank you for showing me a whole new world. And for the inspiration you gave me and so many others. I wouldn’t be as good of an angler as I am today without you.

John the duck is actually supposed to fly about 3 inches above the water and spin around which is why the hooks placed like that. Just to let you know.

The "lettuce lure" is actually a really good one. I love Lazy Ike's! Many people like them for trout, but I've had good luck trolling them for pike.

I caught many big northern pike on baby duck lures going back almost 40 years. I also saw a big northern pike get three genuine baby ducks on their very first swim across a little cove where I caught northern pike up to 23 pounds. I also cleaned a 6lb largemouth that had three baby northern pike in its stomach. So...
If a northern can eat baby ducks and a largemouth can eat northerns? I don't see why largemouth can't skip the middleman and eat the baby ducks.

that little " lettuce lure" is actually quite effective for trout, we always call them flat fish.
I could definitely see it doing some damage, at first I thought it was lame but might have to give it a second go.
We will catch meaty 3-4 lb rainbows with the flat fish.

It is a very classic lure, traditionally referred to as a Lazy Ike. Outdoor Life included it in their list "10 Fishing Baits That Have Stood the Test of Time".

The green colored Flatfish "Green Lettuce" lure is a classic design. Definitely works wonders while trolling for trout, or really any fish. These Worst Lure Challenges made for awesome content 💯💯

Jon, I've caught bass of all sizes on lures and plastics that were funky to say the least. Pink and pearl worms, to spinner baits from hell. I caught some of the biggest bass of my life on an early version of soft plastics called a Hawg Hunter which I still have after 40 years, was a 12 inch by 3/4 inch by 1/2 inch tandem wire weedless hook Goliath! Nobody ever thought that thing would ever catch fish but I've caught dozens of 3 to 5 pounders on it. So the duck would definitely catch some Goliath bass given the right circumstances. The turtle you used is a bass catcher for sure, got plenty of those. So you keep on killing them with those weird lures and kept on fishing, never stop!
