I’m all for this catfish series bruh. Love the spillways but you’re due to catch a monster
It’s a good day when 618 posts
618 it the best
Every Thursday.
Beat me to it@@snakeeyes9246
That spots looks like its holding some monsters! That triple digit is just around the corner! Fish on buddy!
Keep going, Nick, that 100lb lump is just around the corner!
I absolutely love this ‘subseries!’ Already before this quest you spoke a lot about dreaming of a big catfish. I thoroughly enjoy being part of the whole ‘figuring it out. Fishing in its purest form, off the shore, exploring and learning. Congrats on that fish!
One thing i love the most about your videos are theyre wholesome and not full of sponsors. With that being said, i think a gear breakdown video would be awesome. Id love to see the gear/rigs you use as well as your overall thought process when it comes to choosing spots and gear
I have got to say that I always love your choice of music!
The 2 hook rig you used to catch the 1st Flathead Catfish is called a Paternoster Rig - sinker below 1 or 2 droppers with a hook on each Cheers
Love the pocket sized flathead catfish. May he grow into a monster for you to catch.
Keep up the work for looking for that once in a lifetime fish Nick! You are only getting closer with the places you are going
dude!!!!! are you kidding me??? the most awesome setting to fish! running water, but nothing really coming at you, to hang you up. nice at 61, that was the smallest flathead i have ever seen! neat
keep uploading Nick!
im your viewer from Phillippines🇵🇭
I grew up just a few hours north of you and loved fishing. By far the most productive bait I used was Wheaties, crushed into a dough and stuck on a number four hook on a Carolina rig. I mainly caught carp and catfish. Rarest catch was a 5 lb goldfish.
Beautiful Hartford...any locals know what the nickname for that park across the channel is? Lmao
Catching 20 pound monsters as part of your journey is fantastic! That spot looks like a blast!
Hey nick the wife and I are setting down for supper and getting ready to watch your show!!!
As you know we love your channel!
I appreciate the support!
This has to be the new go to catfish spot...haha. Keep the fishing videos coming!
I really can’t wait to see you catch a 100 lb cat . GOOD LUCK BUDDY

Gonna need a boat to catch a triple
Nick, your enthusiasm is just ineffable. You bring such joy to your audience.
Thank you!
That was quite a day fishing ,Nick!
I’ve just gotten into fishing and this is my favorite channel… brings me right back to Jeremy wade and river monsters as a kid
Just love Nick's enthusiasm. That is how to live life!
Great channel. Never disappointed in your content.
Got home late and 618 posted a video and my day just leveled up. That spot has to have some big fish in it. Those baby flat heads are so cute with their mud camo patterns! They seem to lose most of that when they size up. That blue cat was nice too. I know that a monster fish is close!
Another new video from nick is a good day your patience will be rewarded this year's with your 100lb catfish nick 🙏
Whacked em!
Bang up cattie smackin!fishing is the best!
I would have kept that really small flathead for my fish tank. Dud your music choices kick ass. I've never even heard this style of music b4 but I like it. Keep doin what you do nick
I’ve been a fan four about 4 years note, and your videos just get better and better!! Love the channel
I love the tiny flatheads, they are so colorful and cool looking
Great spot. Great use of the electric bike. Great video!
Nice blue catfish and good job on those flatheads
Can't wait for you to catch a100# catfish❤
Fantastic video mate, just some food for thought, on your big catfish rods have you thought about tying your sinkers on with some lighter breakaway line so if your sinker get snagged while fighting a big fish you just lose the sinker
Way to win, good for you
Always refreshing to see what you hooked into at these lovely spots!
Amazing adventure. Great job
Nic what's up man 2 nice Flatheads, a 18 lbs blue and a nice Buffalo great episode I loved it! Keep on getting down!
Nick is my role model in life
A high low rig, we use them for haddock. Put a light tied up top and make it a Zobo rig!
My boi nick getting his traps big as fudge. About to start catching fish in his traps 🤣
We ❤you 618 fishing for life
You caught some really nice flathead and the blue was sweet. Keep it going man 😊
I just love it when 618 post it make me mentally ready for my next fishing trip

Keep it up Nick trying to catch a triple digit catfish is a big goal but I know that u can do it. Love your channel and I look forward to your next video. Keep up the great work and videos my friend God Bless
The light on that point is epic in the evening. Fishing, as art.
Great days fishing there Nick, how cool are those flatheads? Keep at it, that 100lb fish will come
This video just reminds me of a movie! Keep It Up!!,
Rooting for you to catch that 100 pounder!
Never know what to expect. Great fishing day as usual. Thanks Nick
Huge fan bro 0:09
Enjoyed the content Nick 👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽👊🏽
I've wondered how good that spot would be. I imagine the entire canal should be good.
That future monster flathead had some nice colors. I only know that first setup as the "high low rig" or dropper loop.🎣🤙
Nice I think that’s the first flathead I’ve seen you land!
Great hookup today!
That 2 hook set up looked like a Pater Noster rig for flatfish.
Good to see the big guns for a change Nick.
I love fishing here. Very big fish to catch. This is Chouteau island across from the lewis and clark museum
That was a beautiful blue cat. One of my favorite fish.
We sure live in a beautiful area, don't we?
Those flathead catfish are cool looking! You'll have to be in a boat on a river if you want to catch that 100lb catfish you want. Also patience is key. Great video! Thanks for sharing. ❤😄
Not true at all, have caught three over 90 on the banks and lost count of the 70 lb + fish, it’s time of year and location
Great catch
You need to do some Night Fishing!
cannot wait for the triple digit ...you are getting there ! thanks again for great video
I really enjoyed this video. I would love for you to add a lot of info for us - such as details on that thick orange line on the big catfish real, tell us about the barges on the river, etc. Thanks.
From one shore fisherman to another. Upgrade your rod holders. Big cats will rip those little ones right out and be gone. Invest in a few Surf Rod holders. Good luck and rock on 🤘😎
The best holders are the ones you make yourself. No need to waste money on surf holders your can make your own that are bulletproof
Hey Nick, that blue was beautiful..thanks for letting me catch that with you..
Hope you get to that triple digit catfish soon
Really enjoy and appreciate the catfish series!
Well that's an amazing looking bit of water I wish I have stuff like that here in England
Its Thursday 618 is on the screen fish on Nick see ya next week
Nice blue catfish there! And the double crawler rig I believe is a dropshot rigging setup.
You should buy one of those deeper sonars and cast it out at spots
Another quality fishing video I like that you appreciate all the fish you catch . Keep up the good work .
Time to snag a live bluegill and toss it put for a monster flatty 🔥 great video. You found a hinehole for yourself for sure
Bravo and congratulations Nick. Another great adventure lived, documented and shared. Thank you. :)
I’ve had some ungraceful releases recently too! Something’s in the water
Hey nick. Fishing deep holes on your kayak vertically with it boat will help. Also from the bank or boat or kayak fishing channel mouths where they empty a main body of water is a good spot too. Even if you don’t get bites having fresh cut shad down there the scent will travel and fish come through at some point.
Those were some beautiful flatheads. Nice blue cat and buffalo too.
I'm late to the party today, but it was a great episode as always, man
Everytime i see you ride by on your e-bike i just think of Bilbo running saying he’s going on a adventure. Love the vids man i tune in every time you post one. 😊😊😊
Great job landing that big blue! 😎
Looks like you need to go back to this spot! It's full of catfish and your triple digit is out there.
Awesome video Nick
You may not like the distance, but I think you have found a spot that just might hold that triple digit flatty.
I still worry about the terrain that you're fishing on for safety reasons if you hook into a triple digit and you might want to have a friend there and plan on a 2 night gig.
Best of Luck Nick
🤙🏼🇺🇲🤙🏼
I’m a little late but I’m here for another fishing adventure!!!
Wow!!! That was awesome and some great music to take us along!! ♥️🩸😀😃
In your state there are 100 lb plus catfish hope you catch it
Made my day!
Some good size catches Nick very cool! Those flatheads like your bait! Even though there were no monsters this time I have a feeling you will find that triple digit catfish! Well have a fun and safe weekend and catch a next adventure!
Some live bluegills next time. Monster flathead! Thanks for the vid, Nick. This was a good one.
U should try unscented goat soap as bait. They love the oil trail
Hey Nick: I'm not trolling you, even though my question might make me sound like a troll.
Have you ever fished for giant catfish using bloody tampons? It's not what you think. Although you do need to use tampons, (unscented type is a must) the blood you use to dip them in is made of chicken livers that have been put in a blender. You can also, as an optional recipe, ad some shrimp just to give the mix more of a fishy scent.
As teenagers we did this using some freezer burned chicken liver that our mom was going to throw out. It's a long story but, long story short, we put the stuff in the blender then stole some of our older sister's tampons and used them to soak up the liquified chicken liver.
We then put them in the freezer over night for our fishing trip the next morning. It worked like gang busters. We brought in some decent sized catfish that day. I wish I had some photos to show you as proof but we were poor teenagers who couldn't afford to buy bait at conventional sporting goods stores. I'll have to remember to take pictures next time I'm using this method.
Full digression, we only did that twice as teenagers, then our sister noticed her box of tampons were missing a few tampons. Our mom found out about it, and we got in more trouble than I could ever explain.
Our sister made us out to be teenage pervs but, in reality, the idea of using those tampons to soak up the chicken liquified liver just came to us, so we decided to try it.
Your attempt to catch a monster catfish just reminded me of back when I was a teenage catfish fisherman.
I still use this method on rare occasions but, most of my fish catching is focused on bass now.
I know everyone has a secret bait, but this one... maybe it was better to keep it a secret lol
@@beizamslayer4418 I know this bait works but, if anyone here decided to try it out, make sure you don't tell your mom or your girlfriend what you used for bait.
If you do, get used to the following reaction "Cook Your Own Damn Catfish!" or something similar to that.
The key here, and what the easily offended or grossed out don't understand is, that you eat the catfish. You don't eat the bloody tampons.
@@beizamslayer4418 Right? I mean just use an old school rag ha ha but interesting idea!
Your sister wasn’t wrong. 😂
@@TheFishinMortician You're absolutely right about just using a rag. That works too.
In fact there are more than a few CZcams post from dedicated catfish fishermen that have posted videos on this subject.
It's the same concept, except that the Tampons are more compact and absorbent so, for this application it tends to work far better.
Incidentally, in those videos I allude to, the fishermen simply sprayed WD40 on their rags of choice or used cooking oil.
Apparently, catfish aren't the smartest fish in the water if they'll eat a rag covered in slop.
Oohh my good monster catfish..mantap
That trusty hi lo rig woke em up. Another short movie from the legend. HOLLA AT ME.
What a great spot !!!!🎉🎉🎉 please go back there ore often !!!
Thanks for sharing as always! Keep up the great job!
Another great video nick! I needed that baby flathead for my fish tank lol. Keep up the good work!
