It's been my passion since I was a young kid.
New subscriber here. Nice content. I’d like to bank fish but just have had no lick. Thanks for the video this motivated me.
Hope you get out there and whackem!! Thanks for watching
You just popped into my algorithm, and it reminded me of better videos from a guy I used to enjoy. I recently unsubcribed from many years following. First video, and seems real. I like that.
I appreciate the kind words and I hope you continue to enjoy the videos.
catfish dave used to make good bank videos
@@bankmasteroutdoors He did! I will stay on the bank and keep pumping out video's.
Nice to see another bank angler on CZcams, most are fishing out of boats anymore. Fishing from boat ramps have never really worked out for me, lose more gear then I do catching fish, just curious as to the logic of fishing off boat ramps?
Not a lot of other bank access in the area.
One of my old good friends used to walk backwards when he set the hook and was fighting a fish like you do, one day we were fishing on a dock and he thought he was walking backwards down it but he went at a angle and fell in the water lol. I've watched him back up and trip over rocks, fall in mud holes, hit his head on tree limbs and all kinds of stuff haha. He still does it though 20 years later
🤣🤣🤣
Come on brother we can make that happen!!!
Hell yeah brother, we fish the mon river up in WV usually chicken liver or shrimp!
Awesome
You sure did wear em out! Gotta love the clicker sounding off too!
absolutely
Nice video. Consistent big fish.
Got lucky that day for sure.
Great video!! I just found your channel. I love catfishing. I also am from East Tennessee!!
Awesome!! I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
@@EastTennesseeWhiskers what part of East Tennessee you from? I am from Jefferson County. Near Cherokee and Douglas Lake area.
@@jasonrunyon2663 I live in Maryville and I mainly fish Ft Loudoun and Wattsbar.
I live in knox and havent had anywhere near the luck you have fishing these waters
Im also in east tn i fish watts bar and the Emory
First time watching. I subscribed just for the heck of it. Going to retire, and maybe get some good advice on fishing from the banks.
Congratulations on your retirement!!!
Damn, the way you drug that fish across the ramp i thought you were keeping
We let them all go. They are tough creatures.
I appreciate you 🎣🎣🎣🍺🍺
Well thank ya. Tight lines!!
what part of east tennessee you from? im in jackson county alabama and the tn river cuts my county in half
I am just south of Knoxville.
Nice blue cat
Thank ya
Nice 👍
For sure
Just subscribed. Man, you make it look easy! I guess it's all about the right bait and location. I'm more of a bass fisherman but I'd like to catch some big cats like that. Do you ever eat them?
It's all about location and bait and the willingness to move around until you find the fish. I usually just let everything go. I do fish for crappie and walleye in the winter if I'm wanting to eat some fish.
That'd be a good mess of catfish for the plate.. but good job bro!
For sure. They are fun to catch.
We cant nank within 100 foot of a boat reamp in Texas......
Oh man, That's not cool!
That was a very good spot
It was!!!
Why are u in the car, stay at poles at all times or u can miss the big one!☝🏽
Had to go get the rest of my gear.
I mean a love to fish but I love to eat them and so does my family too !
I love to eat fish also but I can catch walleye, sauger, and crappie if I have a craving for some fish.
Great video, just got a couple of questions. Here in Illinois we are limited to using only two rods at a time. How many rods can you use at once? It seems like at least 6 in this video. The way you have your rods leaned up over the cooler, don't the lines tangle with each other when you start to reel one in? Thanks
We have no rod limit here. Sometimes they will get tangled up but it's just the risk we take using so many rods. They are all casted in different directions.
Bro why do you back paddle when setting your hook? Personally I believe you could lose more than you catch.
Putting more bend in the rod to secure a solid hookset with the circle hooks.
Yea remaining flat foot seems more secure to me as well. But I think people feel things differently and adjust accordingly
Maybe learned it from Catfish Dave. He used to run a hundred yard dash setting a hookup.
@@JugginMikeBoozer 😂 😂 Id never run like that. I'm a fat one 😂
Didn't see a paddle.
Im in BAMA take me with you!!!!!
Holler at me if your ever up here in my neck of the woods.
Dude ever owns a boat he'll learn why fishing from a boat ramp is usually not allowed. Especially the first time fishing line blows a seal in his lower unit
I own a boat. I make sure not to have any rods casted on the ramp.
I've owned a lot of boats and some of the biggest dick heads I've ever seen ran across my line's bank fishing or boat fishing. They all think they're in the bass master classic.
Ooooooooo Robbery Call the police let them know the fish took your bait and left no trace and no description. 😢 Which way did it go ? No idea 😢
🤣🤣
What part of Tennessee are you in to fish. I live right near the Tenn GA line in GA. We tend to have to fish in rough bottom water but get to land some good fish.
I'm just south of Knoxville. What lake do you fish?
i have a glove i put on before i stick my hand in their mouth. i liked your video.
They can get mean sometimes!! Hope you enjoy the content.
The thumbnail was why I watched and you missed it
Real Fishing
Catfish Dave is a legend. Haters gonna hate...
an angry legend.......also I saw a video he recently posted with a stripper cleaning his boat.......that shit was lame as fuck.
Why're ppl saying Dave sucks? I'm confused haha
@@Catfish.Knudsen Jealousy. He is making a living fishing and they ain't.
Wore me out with the constant bitchin.
Hello, I work for an outdoor products company, can I invite you to do a video review?
I'll do it, but It will be brutally honest.
You can email me at easttennesseewhiskers@gmail.com
@@EastTennesseeWhiskers Hi, I have already sent it. There is a chance it might have ended up in your spam folder. If you have time, please check it. Thank you.🥰
@@lenacar3881 Reply is on the way.
U might want to oil them pliers.
Definitely could use some.
why is he always thirty feet away from his poles? he needs auto hook set pole holders.
My camera that I film with does not have a wide-angle lens, so I have to stay further back to turn the camera on. I'm actually getting a new camera today so hopefully I can be closer to my rods.
hearing that clicker go off😮💨😮💨
Whatever was on was definitely hungry.
Made me decide to leave work 2 hours early! Omw to the river
@@stangreene9151 I love it!!!! Tight Lines
How come you don't get upset over the dadgum snags or the degnab boaters who think the own the ramp ?
It's just part of bank fishing brother.
@EastTennesseeWhiskers I think he was referring to another used to be, bank fisherman. The other guy would be mad at the world. It was funny in the beginning.....
You need a scale ⚖️. So we can know how much it weighs......
I have a scale. I usually only weigh fish over 30lbs but I can start weighing all of them.
What pound line are you using?
25lb Ande Backcountry
In all my days of catfishing I have never seen anyone smack the fish trying to remove the hook. Was that really necessary? I think not. Maybe appreciate your catch and work a little harder to remove the hook without beating the fish on Camara
😂😂 I'm smacking the hook eye to pop the hook out instead of yanking it out with plyers. It's actually a very common practice.
Too fat for that 😂😂. I feel your pain!!
😂😂
I am watching from Elmira NY when I fosh catfish in the Chemung River i watch my tip instead of using a clicker
I like to run a clicker where I fish. The fish are heavily pressured around here and if they feel a lot of tension on the bait they seem to drop it often.
No one cares what you do in New York.
Duh!
Why are you turning them back a loose ? When you can eat them fillets on them ! Me ? I want go home empty handed ! I fish to eat them not to turn them a loose ! To me that just stupid and a waste of time fishing !
I like to catch them again when they get bigger.
Another bank fisherman fishing off the boat launch
Absolutely annoying anytime
I literally move everything once a boat comes
Ah look , another entitled boat owner
@@brianwatson3705 😂😂
About as annoying as a drunk boater that takes 5 attempts to get on the trailer?
Not even close to Catfish Dave.
Thank you!!! I appreciate you recognizing my accomplishments and thanks for watching.
And that is a real good thing.
