It burns and smokes far to early to use. If you buy Extra Light Olive oil it is processed for higher Temps. I sometimes mix it with extra virgin when I need high temp stability.

One doctor on here said if you put in in the fridge and it comes out cloudy and thick it's supposed to be real olive oil or not. Anyone verify or confirm this?
It maybe true before, but I've heard that big producers have gotten smart and manipulated their products just enough to have the same reaction in the fridge. So, we are back to square one on that.
I'd just check the "Harvest Date" on the back of the bottle. It should be as fresh as possible. Also, check to see if the oil is sourced from various countries. If so, it won't be as good. Single estate with harvest date are now my criteria, plus the certification being a bonus.
I'm surprised the colors look so similar and that they are more yellow than greenish.
Why would you use the California blend and not the 100% California
Depending on where you go some places only have the Destination brand on hand. I went yesterday to the store and they only carried the destination so that is probably why he got it as that is probably all they carried.
@@jmdennis1967 Even my Walmart has the 100% California bottle.
@@ToddTinley Places like Target and Walmart seem to have it but places like Albertsons and also Smart and Final seem to have the blend.
@@jmdennis1967 is the destination and global the same thing I saw it on Wal-Mart online as I'm an international buyer I can't go in myself...thanks much
California Ranch global is my go to.
One thing I heard is do not buy the plastic bottle.
I paid $20 for 100% California Extra Virgin Olive Oil at Whole Foods Market.
I’m not buying that California anymore. My favorite is Lucini.
The prices of these have almost tripled in 2 years. That damn transitory inflation!
two from CA one ITALY need glass wine
The Bertolli has the dates on the back. you know what you're getting ,, you skipped that whole part! Taste tests do not equal quality !
The other two also have the dates in the back most likely all are around the same date they got harvested on and should expire
Best bang for the buck is the California Olive Ranch
👌👌👌
That looks like the battle pass
Thank you that t is not cheep👍🏻
Why are they yellow
Wasting time..since we can't tell neither smell nor taste during viewing...just give the results
10:14 Summary by rank:
1) Lucini
2) California Olive Ranch
3) Bertolli
09:57 The taste of Bertolli is noticably inferior compared with the other two. However, there is almost no difference between the taste of Lucini and California Olive Ranch.
Love bertolli

is it bad for you to use olive oil at high heat when cooking
It burns and smokes far to early to use. If you buy Extra Light Olive oil it is processed for higher Temps. I sometimes mix it with extra virgin when I need high temp stability.
No
@@aymanm4350 thanks
Dr gundry says no
Yes it loses all its good qualities but technically no oil is good for cooking lol
Luchini where i live is 30$🙄
Lucini is the real deal and I think California is good. Bertolli is blended and it’s garbage. Lucini is pure evoo with harvest date.
Bertolli's is great. I use it for cooking many dishes and it serves as great lubricant for my Fleshlight. 😏
I'll save you 11 minutes. Just buy Pompeian Robust. It's WAY better than the ones they tested here. California Ranch went downhill and is super bland now. I was looking for a tasty, flavorful EVOO for ages and am finally happy with Pompeian.
(But their balsamic vinegar sucks)
In my humble opinion I think to make things “fair” and “unbiased” you should use a blindfolded person and don’t say which is which before they try them.
I kn the California is better but they isn't bad for you from what I read it's not fake. At least that's not what I'm reading about.
My go to is Cally Ranch global
If you will go to Dr. Mandel‘s CZcams channel and typing in extra-virgin olive oil, he will tell you this is one of the best wines, the California brand medium 100% because It doesn’t come from several different countries it’s made in one place. Thank you.
Honestly, they are all good for you! I mean if you want the best taste then go for the expensive, but, if you need to eat healthier and need cholesterol down... it doesn't matter what brand unl;ess your going to a dollar tree! I then would question the olive oil if it were a dollar lol But other than that Olive Oil is Olive oil unless you're trying to go for the taste.
i never test lucini or california but bertolli is the best in canada
no way
I don’t know why I found this video so fun to watch 😂
Thanks for sharing!!! Mine go get myself some Lucini!!! 🫒🤩
Yep Kirklands Best. But California 100% organic 💋never had Lucini
Don't get in a plastic bottle. Dark glass.
Next time you do a test, make it double-blind so you don't know which one you are tasting. Much more scientific that way.
5’ll get you 10 that the Cali was fresher. If an olive oil is past 12 months from harvest dat, take a pass.
Since when California grow olive ??
The area I live in, the northern part of the San Fernando Valley, in SoCal was an olive grove starting late 1800's. I have 2 trees which are over 120 years old in my yard. They produce olives every year although their size are small. I'm trying to see if I can learn to make olive oil and not throw them away this year. Greetings!
@@olgalydia73 Try learning how to use the leaves for making olive leaf extract. Powerful supplement.
@@sharonedwards126 thank you. Will deff look into that😊
