- Israeli singer Eden Golan advanced to the Eurovision Song Contest final through public votes despite protests supporting Gaza in Malmö, Sweden, where the contest is held.
Golan faced mixed reactions during rehearsals and the semi-final, with cheers and boos.
Ireland's Bambie Thug, a non-binary contestant, urged the European Broadcasting Union to show 'empathy and conscience,' over Israel's advancement in Gaza and Rafah.
Bambie and other contestants including the UK's Olly Alexander, Finland's Windows95Man and Switzerland's Nemo - have called for a ceasefire in Gaza and the "safe return" of Israeli hostages in a joint statement.
Bambie also said the EBU prevented them from displaying a pro-Palestinian message during their performance during the first semi-final.

Determined to be as thorough as possible, he then went through the minutes of the Iraqi Parliamentary Committee which was formed after the 1948 war to report to King Faisal on the causes of the Arab defeat.
