Imagine rb still having to fire his ass after making this video if he fucks up the upcoming races. But tbh I think he'll stay because his most probable replacement isn't doing too great either. But I really hope that his home crowd gives him the confidence boost he needs.
They do it because they really need to boost their morale in their home race.
But it's also obvious that all of Red Bull Racing want to save their asses before all the Mexican fans start burning them tomorrow after what happened last year in Brazil.
Something that should be known is that we Mexicans can forgive, *but we never forget.*

@@ml8022 There are many reasons of why a person becomes fan of a certain F1 driver(or drivers), and those reasons not necessarilly have to do with what you mentioned. Other things such us personality, story, and other points related with the human part of the driver are also meaninful and important for a fan. Otherwise all f1 fans would be fans of only one driver, the champion. ;)

I love Checo a lot. I’ve been a fan of him since his Sauber days. I’ve been here during his good and bad moments, and even if a lot of people seem to hate him now, I’m glad he’s still got support from us. Hace poco más de 30 años comencé a ver la f1, en aquellos entonces mi ídolo era Ayrton Senna y por desgracias me toco ver su muerte en vivo, de ahí me volví fan de Schumacher año tras año, tras su retiro en 2006 la f1 no parecía tan interesante pero pronto salió la gp2 y un joven Mexicano me daba la alegría de levantarme 3 o 4 am a verlo correr y ganar y llego 2011 su debut a la f1, su debut con un 6 o 7 y despues su descalificacion y luego 2012 verlo en ese año con 6 campeones casi ganar 3 carreras, me impresiono a veces me dolía que tuviera tan mala suerte y me identificaba con el, por que sentía lo mismo y decía por que solo yo tengo tan mala suerte, pero a la semana siguiente ya estaba listo para volver a pelear como si nada hubiera pasado, me recordó a Santos Degollado monaguillo del bajío que se volvió general del centro con el récord de más batallas perdidas mas sin embargo siempre se levantaba y estaba listo para volver a luchar y entonces se volvió una Frase "Never give up", Nunca te rindas y se volvió ese peleador como Rocky no importa que lo tires una y otra vez siempre volverá a levantarse para seguir peleando, todo un ejemplo para mi.

Stop spreading fake news. Every year in the Mexican GP, all drivers get body guards and extra security as well as all the drivers being driven in special bulletproof vehicles.
This isn't some "RB needs extra security because of hate". It is literally standard procedure for the Mexico GP.

Checo is my favorite driver and has been since I started watching, I’ve only been watching for a few years now but his story getting axed from racing point on a season where he won a Grand Prix and then getting picked up by Red Bull, it went from so underserved to a much deserved opportunity. No matter what happens next for Sergio I’ll always be happy he got to drive at a top team in race winning car in a championship winning season, I want even more for him of course, but either way

I been following Sergio since his GP2 days. He has been my #1 driver since then. Was never a fan of RB (still not) but i cant deny that was what was best for Sergio in cementing himself as an F1 driver that nobody can ever forget. The downs he has had make the ups he works so hard for so much more rewarding as his fan. He really does fight sooo hard. I was at the MCGP in 2021...i have been to many F1 races around the world (including Spain and Monaco this year). But the one in Mexico City was absolutely magical. Regardless of his result. The atmosphere, the ambience, was something that you rarely experience in life.

Watching this video after Brasil 2023, this is the best team mate in Red Bull, with the right balance in the car Checo would be champion. It's a one of the greatest drivers in F1 and it was demonstrated the last weekend with the battle with Alonso, not too many drivers can manage that battle with little space between cars. With all of the bad stuff/rumors happening at RB and the comments by Helmut, they were like "we have to change the narrative" 😂.
The PR and Marketing teams at Oracle Red Bull Racing are always fun to watch work.
Like most i don't know Checo behind the scenes. Perhaps he is a fun guy and everyone loves him in the team. Just like everyone loves Daniel. And that's a good thing. Though as soon as the lights go out it's the performance on track that matters, and i really hope he gets a strong finish to the season and secures second place in the drivers ranking.
As for his fans, they are not his responsibility. Every driver has good fans and toxic fans. He can and will appeal to the the fans to behave. He has done it before in Mexico.
Off track it's all fun between most drivers, during a race it's a "fight". That's why they are so good at what they do.
He hasn’t done it at all this season…he fueled the hate towards Max and the team in the Mexican press…
He has FUELED THE HATE and taken no responsibility! He even thanked his fans at Austin for their behavior and said nothing! And still people think it was the Americans. Take a look at the map- the border is close to COTA and those people were wrapped head to toe in Mexican flags.
It’s by far the most dangerous venue and the GP needs to be dropped. Too dangerous for the drivers and teams

Checo has become part an essential of the RB team, since joining , and will always do his best to help the RB team achieve the ultimate goal of being the benchmark for all the other other F1 teams to try to beat.
Since Checo joined the RB team, they have turned a struggling team into a race winning juggernaut ,that has earned them the biggest F1 target on their backs as the ultimate 'sign of respect' that all the other teams use to show their envy & admiration for a team that is consistently 'outperforming' them.
