- This week Dave installs a dash repair panel to repair a hole someone cut for a larger sized radio, the cutout was completely butchered. Using BROTHERS Patch Panel, Dave got the dash back to factory condition in under two hours! This video will show you how to cut the old metal out, get proper fitment, and weld your patch back into place without warping the metal causing extra bodywork. Dave also offer some tips on what tools to use as well as certain modifications he likes to make to simplify the process of installing a metal patch panel.

Thank you for the great content!! Drives me crazy to see where folks have rough cut up dashes!! Perfect advice and products to use for quality results!!
Thanks for watching!
I just found this channel. Now that I know you guys make these tutorials, I will only buy my parts from your site. Great videos
Thanks for watching Noah!
Those patch panels are golden!!
Larry
They really are!
Nice video! Although I don't have a 60-66 its still a joy to watch these videos.
It's a shame to spend all that money on a complete patch panel when only a third to half of it is bring used.
It's good that the panel is large, because some people NEED all that other stuff too. We just always recommend doing the absolute least removal of the original metal when possible. The job is easier and typically the result is better. Thanks for always watching!
I have only seen the radio piece bad.
Never the ash or heat piece
Very well detailed and descriptive demonstration Dave!! Appreciate it!
Thanks brother!
Another great video! Informative, to tbe point and clearly explained! Thanks
Thanks, we appreciate the feedback!
Thanks David another great video !
Thanks Mark!
Neato demonstration on that radio hole repair luv cardboard on window trick works better than masking paper which will burn.
Thanks man!
I wish mine was done with that little damage..lol . My 55.2 had everything from the ashtray to the glovebox. guess they didnt need a heater.
A craftsman! Not a mud slinger!
Thank you!
Another one going to save folder. What stettings and size wire was used?
Dwayne, settings will be based on your welder, prep, etc. Don't go by what we did here, experiment and get it dialed in for your job. As far as the wire size, good question? We just used what was in there that day. Again, experiment and get it dialed in for what you have.
Dose any one know how hard it would be to swap this dash in to a 59?? I don't have a 60+ to compete it agents.
Do you make these for an 87 c10?
Hi. Do you you have part's for chevrolet 1962 c30 flatbed. The truck is really rusty. I want to do a big project with the truck but need lot jobs and parts( cab hood doors fenders winshield engine restore transmission 6speed manual drum brakes converter to disc brakes, master cilinder brakes tubing lines,
We have a lot of parts for the C30. Got to our website and order our catalog, it's free. www.brotherstrucks.com
Will there be a Dash Face Repair panel for a 78 K10?
We don't expect one anytime soon. The Squarebody dash can be repaired by using some simple sheetmetal and then replacing the cut up dash bezel. It's different than the earlier trucks because they have no way of hiding the cut metal without actually patching it.
I want a patch panel for my “50” Chevy 3100 but have not found anything!
Yep, nothing available for the 47-54 yet. Stay tuned!
Please make a patch panel for an 85.
The Squarebody doesn't really need a patch. You can easily reinforce the cutout metal and replace the dash bezel on those trucks and nobody will know the difference. We did this on our 1975 GMC Beau James and it looks perfect!
Don’t cover the speedo 👌
