    This dual flush toilet is a great water saving unit. We absolutely love this toilet. It’s like a new toy. We’ve never had a dual flush toilet and this is an amazing product. Just think of all the years dealing with just the normal toilets and their 1.28 gal. flushes EVERY flush. Now with the option of a minimal flush for liquid waste of only 0.92, your saving 0.36 per flush. So let’s just say on an average day I had 1 solid flush (1.28 gpf) and 5 liquid flushes (0.92 gpf). That’s only 5.88 gal. per day. Now with a normal 1.28 gpf toilet, that would be 7.68 gal. per person per day. That equals to a 1.8 gal savings every day. Now for the year that’s a whopping 657 gallons per year per person you just saved. Numbers don’t lie.
    American Standard is a quality product. Just look at the design. It’s sleek, smooth and almost aerodynamic looking. You don’t have the traditional flush handle. You don’t even have the normal seat. The seat includes is a concealed seat. The lid covers the seat complementing the sleek design. The soft quiet close design is a nice feature. It’s like watching the lid close in slow-motion. It’s all in the little thing that make a great product. I can’t say anything negative about this. My only concern is the longevity and the cost of replacement parts when it comes time to repair the dual flush system.

    Very useful instructions, especially when it came to inserting the screws, I wasn't entirely sure about that part. You've saved me a lot of time.

    Thanks. Almost had mine in today. Bumped the water valve. Can't believe how much water can flow in a few seconds. Have to let the new floor dry out as well as the fresh paint.

      +Kevin X Oh no, sorry to hear that. Did you renovate you bathroom? I’m waiting on a vanity counter top to start my other bathroom. Have a new tub, vanity, counter top, faucets and toilet. Going to go down to the studs and do it all over. I’ll be doing vids of the progress each step of the way. When everything is dry hope your install goes without a catch. Thank for viewing.

    Imaging doing that with a heavy one piece concealed trap-way toilet (don't ever buy concealed model). it was heavy, I couldn't see the holes, a friend & I took two hours to drop it into the bolts but I think we had damaged the wax.

      Dean I've done those but ill take a few strips of 1/4 inch material and stack them on either end of the hole (front and back ) set the bowl on top of them line it all up then one by one pull out one piece lowering the bowl 1/4 inch at a time front then back teeter tottering it till its setting on the floor.

      Yomo Cute this is in th hall and is the bathroom everyone uses and has had zero issues since the install. My main concern was the flush mechanism for the dual flush and it’s longevity. Thus far I’m very happy with it and it works flawlessly.

    Has anybody had this toilet for a bit of time to see how well it’s working? And if u recommend it?

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  Před 5 lety +1

      well this has been in use for a year now and is in the main bathroom where everyone uses it and no issues what so ever. I was wondering at first the longevity of the dual flush system, if it would last . I can honestly say i'm very happy with this so far.

    Ok so it looks like I have to adjust the the rods so they don't touch to much cause it flushing automatically

    • @TheShackHome
      @TheShackHome  Před 4 lety +2

      CC the rods you want just a little play so your not applying any pressure once the lid is on and you want to make sure not to have too much play for when you push the tab it plunges far enough to engage the flush valve I have about a 1/16" play in my push lever
