- Metal detecting along the river, exploring and searching a long lost legend of a Civil War encampment on an island in the middle of a river that guarded a crossing. I motor up and down the river in my motorized kayak looking for the most likely island that may contain the remains of the soldiers camp. I discover some pretty interesting things along the way and my metal detector finally sounds off and I find a nice collection of Civil War and colonial era relics.
Be sure to check out the "Cyber Monday" deals at my friends and channel sponsors here! - Zábava
This was a great adventure to kind of wrap up the water season and I find some good relics. I hope you enjoy.
There is a huge Black Friday sale at one of my channel sponsors stores and metal detectors and a wide assortment of gear are on super sale. Please check them out here and help support my channel and adventures with your patronage. Thanks.... The Chigg

Fantastic, missed your vids last few nights!!! 👍
I like the super close-ups at the end and the cat's paw :>)
That was Ratty... couldn't keep him away.
@@aquachigger thought it might be Wobbly Bob :>)
Big Happy Aquaghigger Thanksgiving Hold Your Breath!!!; )
Great day Mr. Chigg. Your ‘edutainment’ is greatly appreciated. Your knowledge of what to pass over and what has potential is as impressive as the artifacts themselves. Please stay awesome.
Doug Alexander ‘edutainment’ I like that and is a perfect description. 👍
Your suppositions of events past to describe what you find is one of my favorite things you do that makes this channel rock.👍
I agree he is very informative.
This is the Chig we know and love, the water detecting vids are the best!!!!
Please don't stop what you do. My dad would have loved to see what you do. You find some really amazing stuff.
Gotta get us an electrolysis video Chigg! That flintlock piece would look awesome after an electrolysis treatment.
Great finds chigg!!!! 👍 👍
Thank you for showing the pictures of your treasures at the end. Those flattened bullets are amazing! Imagine the force that took!
Another fantastic adventure !!! Thanks for taking us with you,and for explaining things to us also.....fun times
Oh man is that cool. I’ve been metal detecting for years. Lots of mining in the desert going through people’s fresh tailing piles looking on nuggets, dry washing, lots of Southern California beach detecting found all kinds of treasures. Having mined up in Northern California, we have found the 1850’s , older , or newer donkey trails metal detecting them. We’ve found the same kinda looking bullets, just not sure what kind but we know they are old. I’m to old to be hiking all over those mountains and trails, and I even found a encapsulated bullet in a knotted piece of tree wood on the ground. Who knows how old that is. I miss all detecting for historical items and mining. This getting old crap sucks
Showing pictures of the "after cleaning" result is really cool ! Please keep doing that :D
And from this day forward that island shall be named……Isle of the Blue Barrels! 😂
I love it when we get a LONG video. Thanks and happy Thanksgiving!
I really enjoy your (modern relic) garbage finds. I could watch those clips all day.
How cool was that! Pottery gives a signal! Cool musket or flintlock too musket!!get back there real soon chig!
A safety tip: Wearing hip boots makes sense but if you are boating don't attach them to yourself - especially if you won't wear a PFD. When you go in the water the hip boots will fill with water and you will need to get out of them. If you're attached to them with belt loops, calf laces, or the thigh straps are cinched down it will be impossible to shed the boots and you will drown.
Yes yes yes, love seeing the stuff that washes up from flooding. Whenever I'm out and about exploring I always look at everything!
You need to go to Oak Island And show them how to find treasure
David Kobe It’s funny because the metal detector guy on that show is the one who finds the most stuff
@Jimmy Houston so over-dramatized and fake. I used to be interested at the beginning also but I won't waste my time with that show 🙄
Yeah the more you watch that show the more you're talking and less digging recap on recap let's get down to the treasure will you please🤪🤪
@Jimmy Houston lol "resources" like you are paying for anything or have any involvement. With or with out the show they would be doing this out of pocket! From a historical point of view their finds are re-writing history its self and that is a treasure that can't be beat! You dum dums think a chamber full of gold is going to start spewing from the high seas and crash along the shore with every wave bringing endless amounts of gold for all eternity. You need instant gratification because you watch to much damn tv. This is real that is why you are bored because only so much can happen in a years time.Try to Think about what is actually happening on that show! Its a giant puzzle and they are slowly solving it piece by piece Revealing forgotten history. Its about the history pay attention! They want answers more than any actual "treasure" and they are starting to get answers but also more questions! Its a modern day mystery unlike anything else and unlikely to ever happen again. Archeological abnormalities people! On top of all that these guys get to enjoy their meaningful lives work. Think some more and maybe you will figure it out
Ole chigg knows a little bit about growing the "green crop"😂
From pot to pot... the the Indian chard was cool Beau. Here's to the area not getting cleaned out before you get back. Would certainly like to hear more about the flintlock mechanism after cleanup.
Seasonal racoon do-do...I have no idea why I found that so funny!
I love that song at the end of you videos... I catch myself singing it while driving sometimes.
Like that pottery!
Nice finish on Thanksgiving. Thanks for taking us along
Love walking in woods. Finding artifacts are a plus for me..
Nice, an old fashioned aquachigger episode!
This is probably my favorite outdoors channel
Oh boy. Seeing the dump made my spider sense go off. I love digging old dumps…. Thanks…….
Me too!
We certainly don't mind walking along with you while you explore the island. It's hard to imagine the island being covered with water in flood. Probably wouldn't want to be there when it happens.
Thats it right there. Civil war 3 ring on top. Sinker 6 inchs down LOL. I found a 1960 Hong Kong 5 cent river bank, what would have been under a bridge but now is not. :) Good TImes.
GREAT VIDEO CHIGG!!
I really want a motorized kayak.
Send that aluminum boat to the Gig Master for fire ant art!!!!
Beau the quality of your videos are top-notch! Very interesting every time but I really appreciate the quality of the visuals.
JUST CHIGGING ALONG RIVER WHAT COULD BE MORE FUN HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
I know rite love watching his river videos. Happy thanksgiving to you as well !!
Hey Chig! Happy Thankgiving! Always a pleasure to see a good treasure hunt!
Chig, you have never fermented mash in plastic barrels, dug out for a still fire and tasted homemade nectar of the souls.
Excellent haul!!!
Nice dig, the lead and the piece of a flint lock. Is ashamed that the island has been contaminated by floods. Enjoyed the video and as always Be Safe and HH my friend.
Thanks for another video! Happy thanksgiving!
One change i'd make to that boat, bring the stick inside and make it work like the stick on an old byplane. Forward and reverse, left and right with one stick. Easy to make the linkages for something like that, at worst, a weekend project.
Close ups, NICE
What a great little haul Chigg. This was a lovely little ramble through the brush and such a nice reward for all of your efforts. Hope you had a nice turkey day!
Thank you Chigg!
good video enjoyed it those close range flattened bullets the deep impacts were rather cool.
Nice! I like the photo round up at the end.
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for the adventures..
I laugh every time when you say" Do ya see it, do ya! What is the pottery made of to make the pin pointer go off? A clay that has iron? Happy Thanksgiving Chigg to you and yours!😁😁🦃

Big cooking pot!
Loved it...great pottery bud...weird how it set off the pp...👍
I wonder why that pottery made the pin pointer sound off like that?????? Great video as always Chigg be safe and GOD BLESS.
the clay had alot of iron in it maybe? Or perhaps lead paint?
Loni Carr I was thanking lead paint myself
Nice Flintlock Find Chig !
Yes awesome find indeed !!
Chig you should get one of those self inflating life vests, they're perfect for this scenario. Just put it on when you get in the mokai, dosent intrude your movement even while on dry land. but it'll do it's thing if you fall in the water!
Looks like you discovered someones old moonshine still!!
leave us poor growers alone lol
Cool video. I heard the Red Baron at 15:00
Happy Thanksgiving, Beau! I loved this video, even if I did hold my breath every time you brushed leaves aside with you had without pause, but that's just because I'm a SE Texas gal and we always have SOMETHING lurking, no matter the time of year! 😆😊💜💜
Happy Thanksgiving, nice button and pistol relic
Hey man thanks for the video and I hope that you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving
Yep on growing the pot. The start park here I can find them pots like that everywhere there.
I'm not into the bullets but boy I do love seeing you save all of those other relics 😃
Dang that mini-ball hit very hard
Man.... the barrels are worth $50 - $75 each. Awesome site.
Hey chigg man happy thanks giving.
They used lead glaze on pottery I have found the pin pointer would pick it up awesome video Chigg
Great lil spot you found there! I REALLY enjoy those hard impact flattened bullets... especially the one with the cone hole in the center! I have a piece of pottery that sets my pinpointer off as well. Nothing on the md, but my pinpointer has another thing to say. Needless to say, it was interesting enough to keep for sure. I'm about to go hit the creek now, wish me luck guys!
14:00 min .... The button was exciting to watch :) Love your videos
Those are vicious looking bullets.
Congrats on 1m subs !
Yeah I like lookin at that stuff
It seems like you found a hot spot chigg! Relics all day. Hope you find that camp with GOLD COINS and BELT BUCKLES!!
I have found those railroad pieces in PA as well.
Ann Cece Railroad Tie plates.
it so funny i get so fixated by the thought of colonial war and civil war battles being fought in the same spot... yet i guess in some countries countless battles have been fought in the exact same spot
Nice video
Chigg: that propane bottle at minute 4:24 is probably worth about 100 bucks to you after you get it revalued and painted
