    I just received my Uscooter GT, which is the U.S. version of this model . I was so happy to get it with the new updates such as a kickstand and a drum brake. The company is listening and I am happy they are giving us what we want. This is the best e-scooter yet!

    About the kick stand! You don't need any! Yes, I own this scooter for months now. You can partially collaps the scooter and it kneels on the ground. That is yous kick stand, that is how it meant to be so you can save the kickstand entirely. Ride comfort is much better than the Xiaomi M365 with pneumatic tires and without suspention. The GT's tires are not entirely solid rubber either, they enclose air in chambers in the rubber. Really nice and fast scooter.

      Extremely slippery because of the hard tyres. If you go over a wet metal surface, any change in steering and you WILL skid, guaranteed.

    Really good review! I have one of these, bought it to replace my M365 which, after 6 months, was down to 7 miles range. I agree with everything you said too. A couple of tiny niggles for me though. One you already mentioned, no kickstand. After having the M365 for 6 months I really got used to being able to just drop that and lean the scooter. Invaluable in shops/supermarkets as opposed to the awkward fold ing it up scenario. And the second one...Thee throttle at low speed just seems to go from 0 to 10mph in a millimetre of throttle movent. REALLY awkward when trying to get around stopped traffic, pedestrians etc. It's actuaally easier to get off and walk. Having said that, I love this thing!

Also you are one of the very few on youtube to have a spider limited. I have heard a lot of negative feedback about reliability of the spider. How is it doing for you?

    • @electricfuture7456
      @electricfuture7456  Před 4 lety

      Nice! Yeah, should be no problem! One thing to note - you might not want to charge it to 100% (maybe 80% is better at these temperatures), since the brake is regenerative, and the battery doesn’t accept current very readily at cold temperatures if it’s already charged up close to max. Or even better- use the rear friction braking only, for the first 20-30% of charge if you start with 100% charge. Also - once you’re done riding - don’t plug it in to charge right away - wait an hour or so for battery to warm up. Enjoy!

  • @RCDevotee
    @RCDevotee Před 4 lety +1

    Great review! I have two E-Twow Booster scooters that I have had since they came out years ago now. At the time the 18MPH and light weight made it unique. It is great to see the GT get the scooter to 25MPH now. My two E-Twows have 9000+ miles between the two of them and they never gave me any problem on my 16 mile commute (8 miles each way and charged at work). The only reason I changed scooters was not really needing the ultra-portability and wanting higher top speed and range. I went to an Ecoreco L5+ and Speedway Mini-IV and enjoyed those for a few thousand miles. My Kaabo Mantis and Dualtron Compact are now my commute vehicles and I love them. I am about to sell my Mantis as I strongly prefer the no-flat Dualtron Compact. They are especially great in my San Francisco portion of my commute as the extra power lets you keep up and pass cars easily.

I'm trying to decide between the two as far as which will hold up better over time and has better reliability. Warranty, portability, maintenance, ride quality, build quality, acceleration, tires, features, customer service, etc. are also some of the things I'm looking to compare. You never really have the perfect scooter 👍 🛴
      You think you do when you first get it but there is always some better on another scooter you wish yours had... Having the Uscooters Booster GT 2020 🛴 I keep seeing all these cheaper scooters with cool stem and deck lights and automatic left & right turn lights on the Inmotion L9 I wish Uscooters would have more than Reflectors on the sides. Hopefully those lights they're selling on Ewheels.com are the same auto blinking lights as on the Inmotion L9. I would personally take the Uscooters Booster GT 2020 🛴 from uscooters.com or The Booster GT ETWOW from Ewheels.com because they're lightweight, lighter & more portable (+ you get warranty with those two sites:
      {lots of people knocking Uscooters Team for not replying about broken scooters but they're fixing two my Uscooters Booster GT 2020 versions!}
      They're better then the speedway mini... There is also a DAUL MOTOR ETWOW releasing soon too, well hopefully soon it's just released youtu.be videos on the daul motor escooter from France & Europe.
      Just like they got the Booster GT 2020 before we got it here in 🇺🇸 & 🍁 THEY'RE GETTING THE DAUL ETWOW ESCOOTER BEFORE US!
      Well just before us we'll probably have daul wheel etwow / uscooters by January, February or March of 2021! Who knows maybe sooner, we'll see how production goes! 👀 👍 🛴

    Good afternoon/evening. I have an E-Twow. I've had it for at least 6 years plus. One of the biggest qualities of my version (hopefully the same with this version), is that if you run out of power, you can easily use it as a regular scooter. It freewheels so much better than most scooters. I find that to be VERY important but unfortunately, seldom mentioned.

    Good video. The music was a little distracting, but worthwhile insights.
    A couple of QUESTIONS.
    1.) How stable did you feel riding it with it being such a lightly constructed scooter.
    2.) Did you feel safe and secure when turning and transitioning on various road surfaces?
    3.) For the money, which other comparable scooters do you personally recommend?
    Thanks again for the video.
    Stay safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

      eWheels offers one year warranty. The page also says spare parts and service provided. Sounds like you had a bad experience? Uscooters seems to sell the same thing for significantly more expensive ($1299 vs 1089, more than $200 difference). I had really good experience with Jason and eWheels. I personally bought 2 scooters and 1 electric unicycle from him so far, and the service has been amazing. If uscooters wants to send me a review unit, I’d gladly review it though. Answering your other questions: it felt stable, no problems at all. Since the rubber is solid though, watch out for turning too much on wet ground, especially when going faster, it feels like a little less traction comparing to pneumatic tires. On dry roads it felt perfect. And there aren’t many comparable scooters that are this powerful and light weight. If portability is needed, the closest alternative are probably electric unicycles (EUCs).

      @@flhandster4395 Are you sure there is a kick stand on the GT? If you look on the official etwow website, at the very bottom, they have a picture of it half-collapsed. I think that's the only 'supported' way of making it stand without fully collapsing it. But this way still requires pressing the front collapse foot pedal which isn't always the easiest I found. e-twow.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/gt3.png

      I just purchased this scooter last week from eWheels/Jason. I contacted Jason with a few questions before purchasing the scooter and he responded in a timely manner and displayed GREAT customer service. I was not pressured into purchasing anything and received honest responses to all my questions. This is the type of customer service I was seeking while I was looking around to buy a scooter. I am really satisfied with my purchase and I feel confident in any future services/purchases I may need because of the communication displayed by Jason. About the kickstand comment, I believe that is the new 2020 model that has been released in Germany due to government requirements that require electric scooters to include a kickstand and an efficient braking system? If you take a look at their German website, you'll see the addition of the kickstand and the rear mechanical brake kit. I believe this iteration is yet to be released in the United States and other potential regions around the world.

    • @electricfuture7456
      @electricfuture7456  Před 3 lety +1

      Front brake doesn’t use electricity. It takes energy from your motion, and converts it into electricity that goes back into the battery. It’s called regenerative braking - uses motor to generate electricity that effectively slows you down, and charges the battery when you slow down

    • @NateLgg
      @NateLgg Před 3 lety

      ElectricFuture so i can recharge the battery by pushing it?

    • @electricfuture7456
      @electricfuture7456  Před 3 lety

      Yes, but it won’t be much just pushing it. Riding a big long hill down while regen braking will work better. And it’s not perfectly efficient - say you go from 0 to 20mph, and then immediately slow down to 0, you’re probably recovering 40-50% of energy it took to accelerate. Some energy goes into heating of components, wind resistance, friction, etc
