- Ten years after the first generation, BMW have revised almost every component of the RR from the front to the rear. Just when I thought that sport bikes can't get any better, BMW revised it. Now this is a nearly perfect sport bike.

I really enjoy how you review each bike. Very professional way of doing it. I'll give you a two thumbs up!
He gets my two thumbs up also. My favorite CZcams guy!
Love seeing a grown-up rider give a grown-up review of this bike - full of facts, reality... and fun.
Thanks Scott. Yea this really is a serious track-day weapon, almost no flaws what-so-ever a nearly perfect sport bike. At least imho.
take care, Scott
Great review. I got my RR M package in Jan 2021 and still loving it. Like you I never do track days and really don't intend to. The riding gear you have looks very high quality and expensive.
Loved your review
Thanks for the real world review! Tolle Arbeit 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Really fantastic bike. Very nice video - good job Scott !
Great content. Really educational video on the ole' RR
Loved the video, thanks!
Great review, thx for that !!
I was laughing with you when you did :-)
This is a pretty amazing bike - I have the 2019 red version.
Great review
As usual, great review. Love this machine, however, here in the states I've been hearing issues with fuel mapping restrictions and flat spots in the power band. To get to its potential an ECU flash is needed. Hopefully that will get worked out in near future. Keep the great videos coming.
Great review Scott. Great bike I’m sure. But the riding position is too extreme for my old neck.
Great review! Waiting to get the 2020 XR with this engine and similar looks. At 6'5" that's the one.
Good video bro !
I purchased a Motorsports 2010 RR (sold in in 2016) I recall getting it up to 192 mph. For reference I've lived in California most of my life, but I was born in Germany, and was visiting a friends in Rosenheim and K-Town renting bikes in both towns while there (touring). Actually it was the first back since being born leaving. For many reasons it was best trip ever. Triple.
Your a good reviewer sir💪👍
Debt is my middle name!🤣 I actually bought the very first iteration of the double R in 2010 here in Australia. I was fortunate to go to the launch in Melbourne. It was basically a prototype. That was around late 2008/ early 2009? I put down my money immediately & waited well over 6 months, probably closer to 12! I was number 3 to order this, but the first to order the tricolour! Believe me I was not disappointed!😱 I had the bike for about 3 years & decided THAT model was too insane for me. On the recommendation of the salesman, ex racer, I bought the S1000R in 2015. Harold said it would out handle the RR through the hills but obviously lose out on the straights. I still have that bike & still love it’s understated insanity🤪 Would I consider buying this M spec? HELL YEAH!!! 😈 What a beast. Yes it’d scare the crap out of me but what the heck....🥴 Great review yet again Scott. Two thumbs up. 👍🏻👍🏻
Scott, great video, really enjoyed it. You never disappoint., thank you. Now, I want to ask you a question I’ve asked in a couple of comments (in past videos), where did you get the Jeans you’re wearing, please tell me, I love the dark blue color and just the way they look! 🙏🏼
Thnx. Ride safe everyone! 🍀
Thanks Alex. Those are the Trilobite Agnox jeans. They are great for spring and fall weather and water proof too. Got them off of Amazon cause no one around where I live had them.
Ride safe, Scott
Thnx Scott! U too, and every biker out there, ride safe!
First comment? Yaaay
Good review this bike has me tempted
Just got my 2020 M package and can say its quite fast and so good that you don't even feel the speed.
Ah its a dream machine!!
I can't wait for the new single r new design to be revealed.
Oh yeah, me too!
@@floda8302 ...and I cant wait for the S1000XR to be released, which I hear will be before the S1000R version
“Carbon fiber rims….yeah it’s worth going into debt hehehehehahahahaha” SUBSCRIBED
Thanks for the sub!
Just got mine, seems these are now the new ones getting produced. I had tested it in the Black Fores, Autobahn, two times race track, so for me it was clear. I am jumping off an Aprilia Tuono Factory which is one of the best nakeds there are specially for the road however on the track those two elements being position and fairing plus gearing make a difference. Anyway no RSV simply because the RR has more technology and I like that, 21st century bike with LED's and all. Plus it comes quite close to the RSV on some aspects IMO such as front end feel for example, so me not being a race pro or super experienced amateur, the RR is the one to have. BTW I didn't wore diapers but did wore cycling bibs for more comfort with the M seat. Thanks for your review.
Hmm...are they more comfortable than adult diapers...I might have to try them.... LOL!
@@NothingToProve yes, just wear them properly which means directly over your skin. And I recommend Assos or X-Bionic.
I have some difficulty to imagine the sensations provided by this machine. The only term of comparison are my memories from the BMW K1 I drove in a drive test in the early's 90 I think. I never felt a so precise and easy machine at any speed ( except the ergonomics, the turning radius and the weight). Is it possible any better improvements, I wonder?
Thank you
Great review....can you please test Honda CBR 1000 RR now, it will be interesant to comtere those bikes.
The license plate bracket is quite difficult to remove. It was designed like that to reduce costs and increase margins.
Can you review kawasaki z900 2019? I like your style of reviews :)
Vorpini z900rs Cafe!
Thanks for reviews you really one of the best expert's 👍 what you thinking about new Honda cb 650 r ? I don't know which is better for me Suzuki GSX s 750 or Honda ....
Thank you Agris, I'm sorry but I cannot give an opinion on either one of these bikes because I have not ridden either one. Sorry.
Ride Safe, Scott
Scott, what are you talking about...? You made a review of the Suzuki GSX-S750 this summer, I think it was beginning of August(you uploaded the video on the 2nd of August, I’ve checked)... so, you rode at least one of the 2 bikes the dude is asking about...
@ agris batna: I own the Suzuki GSX-S750, and all I can tell you is that it’s a lot of fun, better than the Honda(in my opinion, I’ve rode the CB650R), I “bang for the buck”, it’s worth every penny, so unless you’re a Honda fanboy, go for the Suzuki!
Ride safe everyone! 🍀
@@IonutAlexandrinRistea034 thanks!
Hi mate. In the USA the bike came very very tamed stock for regulation reasons. Everyone there is flashing the ecu.
Totally agree, maybe i found the replacement for my stolen second gen busa? Sure this is more sporty, but since suzuki was unable to give a new busa... and how you sed, those carbon wheels....
that's a great review! How do you compare it with the V2? Is it more road oriented and comfortable?? Thanks!
They are both around the same money, so I we can compare them...
V2 is basically less of everything, less power, suspension, brakes, refinement, tech. So you are paying for the name and looks. Comfort I'd even give that to the BMW. It's not that I don't like the V2, it's just a very uncomfortable bike, kind of reminds me of the sport bikes of the 90's. Crude, unrefined but fast. The BMW is faster but has every modern day tech and has been refined over the last decade. The electronic suspension is awesome the shift-cam motor with torque everywhere is just phenomenal. The V2 torque, you had to be in the right rev-range...kind of like the 90's and the vibration like all the old Ducati's but at least you know your on a Ducati. LOL!
@@NothingToProve Thank you for the comprehensive reply! Very appreciated
Awesome man great channel I’m trying to do the same. Your doing great I have just ordered a bmw s1000RR. I have subscribed 👌🇦🇺🔥
😎
Your laugh says it all
Great video as usual, just too much HDR.
Hello!
I just passed my license and I really like this bike.
Can you recommend this bike to a beginner?
And I also have a height of 186cm and a weight of 85kg. Wouldn't it be uncomfortable for me to ride it?
Hi Romario,
This is not a good first bike, this is not a good second bike, maybe a good third bike. The skill level required to ride this bike to it's full potential is even beyond my skill level and I've been riding over 30 years and done countless track days. It is so fast that is will get you from 0 to tombstone in 10 seconds.
You are of pretty good size so I would recommend a middleweight bike for you to start out on, get some experience and develop you riding skills then after a few years move up to a liter bike like this.
Ride safe,
Scott
@@NothingToProve Thank you so much for your answer!
You have great reviews. Continue in the same spirit! ;)

the only complain I have about it, it has not a V4 or crossplane sound, and man, when you tasted it, you just can't go back to a classic 4 in line.
How's the vibration at higher rpm?
I don't know and at high RPM, I didn't care, I was way too busy focusing on the road at those speeds 😊
If only the cost of insurance wasn't so expensive
Beautiful bike! Hope you got some adult diapers for the next review.😬 Well done BMW 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can you use this bike for commute?
Sure, but this bike would cut your commute time in half and the police would probably cut your licence in half too. 🤣😂😁
NothingToProve I like your sense of humour 🤣
Beautiful review and I think the M version does come with a case of adult diapers. LOL good one!
And an Amazon subscription of monthly shipments of adult diapers! LOL!
I heared that the diapers are a bit expensive since it is made from kevlar material ;) hahahahahhah
Finally they fired the headlight designer.
your laughing is great---------a little bit sarcastic
The only negative is the lower exhaust section including the air box. So ugly. I’m surprised BMW didn’t extend the belly pan or tidy that part up like Ducati did with the Panigale.
you sound like Donald Trump doing ASMR
The way this guy speaks reminds me of Donald Trump.
