I've got them for about a year now, the ANC is so so, but it got a bit better with updates, but their EQ had a bit better one, maybe because they went deeper into the ear canal.
The sound is super good, and it takes EQ well, I dind myself shifting the Beosonic dot to the right and below a bit.

With all the newer headphones out. Would you still recommend these over the rest?

@@panman2632 depends, there were super deals on them recently and if You can get a good price the. Go for it, but I assume we might see new releases maybe even this year. Technics AZ-80 is another superb choice with awesome sound quality. And a much more expensive Devialet Gemini 2 which have THE BEST ANC on the market and almost noone is talking about them. I’ve got the Devialet Gemini 1, and it is a serious contender, with great hardware but I preffer the EX tuning as it’s a bit more musical, but 2’s may have fixed that.
I heard a lot of great opinions on Cambridge Audio Melomania m100 as well, and since they are and audio company it is trustworthy to a degree.
If You don’t care about ANC then look up FIIO FW 3 and FW5, great sound great reviews.

@@panman2632 the EX are great soundwise, and you can EQ the. Quite a bit which shows that the hardware in there is very capable.
However, there were great deals on them recently on Amazon and some other places, so I’d hunt for sales rather than full price.
You might also consider the Devialet Gemini 2 which has THE BEST ANC on the market, and not many people are even talking about them.
I prefer the EX’s tuning though, a bit more musical, but those Devialet how that WOW factor when you first listen to them.
And they sound great as well, very powerful bass, head rattling if you eq the, that way, great impact and dynamics.
I own the Devialet Gemini 1 since the release which is quite similar , albeit a bit cumbersome, they addressed most issues in the 2nd one.
Technics az80 is yet another awesome choice, and cheaper as well, stellar sound and good anc.
I heard that Cambridge audio melomanka m100 is great as well, and I respect the audio brand.
If You don’t care about anc at all, try FIIO FW3 and FW5, great sound.

@@panman2632ok, replies seem to work once again.
So I do think they are still one of the best options when it comes to sound quality, however there is some serious competition nowadays like the awesome Technics AZ80 or Devialet Gemini 2 which has fabolous ANC on par if not better than Bose and almost noone seems to be talking about them. I have the Gemini 1 but drspite its outstanding audio hardware i preffer the EX or even EQ’s tuning. It’s more musical and nuanced. The ex on foam tips is the way for me as my ear skin gets irritated oretty much jnstantly by all the silicone tips in the world. On silicone ones the sound is more energetic, impactful, the bass is wyicker and tighter and the highs and mids are more clear. The foam tips are way more comfortable and introduce amazing warmth to the sound which is great for long listening sessions/work/chill. It’s like HD 650/6XX but with better detail still.
There are often good deals on these buds and I’d rather hunt for such a deal rather than going for full MSRP as the competition is tough nowadays, ( forgot to add cambridge Audio Melomania to the mix ) or Fiio FW5 if You don’t care about the ANC at all and wish to spend nearly 3 times less…
