personally I rather hire people who are real and know wtf they are saying, over people who just say "yep" to everything and do a shite job without the ability to even explain to you what they did.
I've read that you need to increase fuel delivery to really pull anything more out of them.

@@anermly86 Because those are pretty big as is. Sure you can get hybrids for those but what gearbox are you gonna put behind some 700HP and 1400Nm engine? Just too much work, would be nice but..

@@DarksideDevelopments i saw in one of your videos that you’d adjust the airbox, isnt it better to take just an rs6/rs7 airbox and put it on there as its slightly bigger has better volume, and has the holes drilled in already. And it fits without moddification

The Bentley wheels look pretty good on the C7.
I was surprised that there was only a 2 HP difference after all that. A decent software upgrade seems to be the most economical move on these diesels. Improved my TRQ and HP nicely on my 2014 Audi 3.0 TDI
It would have made more of a difference if the stock DPF was blocked more but you are still only regaining the lost bhp rather than gaining more by removing it. A remap is most definitely the best bhp for £
@@DarksideDevelopments I agree. Then the difference could have been huge. How did you find things with the air box? I saw where you were talking about opening up the front and putting the space with holes, (which to me would have been easier just to drill a few holes). Notice anything? I kept stock airbox but am using a Pipercross filter. Really no difference that I can tell
@@johnjerrehian4642 We have not modded the airbox yet but we did remove the airbox completely while on the dyno and this made no difference. The holes or vent may have more of an effect on the road (there must be a reason the RS models have this as standard)
@@DarksideDevelopments Great info. Thank you! I was interested to see if the additional air, (from the holes like the RS models) made a difference. However, the displacement of those engines are typically larger and under WOT may need more air than the standard airbox can deliver- Hence the holes. Maybe the 3.0 TDI's are getting all the air they need via standard airbox? Love to hear what you think as well as any difference with the holes in the airbox, (besides noise). Plus, your TDI produces a lot more power than mine. Stk form US 240 HP 428 TRQ. Race Chip on 7- 283 HP and 515 TRQ per Race Chip.

Hi. Love your informative videos mate. I have a 2013 A6 3.0bitdi and I was wondering if just removing the cat would help backpressure and egt's for longevity. I can't remove dpf due po po watching and sniffing in my necks of the woods.
The DPF is always the biggest restriction but if healthy we leave them alone

Just out of curiosity, Why not fit a pair of racing/ sport dpf as shown on you're web? Surley the temps would be still lower then originally mentioned?! Or, just removing the dpf completely could could lower the temperature a bit more? It would be better or worse with those sports/ racing dpf🤔🤔? THANKS 😊 👍
Yeah it would be lower than stock but noting is 100% legal other than stock so its no different to us!

Why no gtr sound 🤣 some of those v6 Audi's sound amazing with no dpf and a straight pipe. Is it the back boxes

HI guys, love your vids! I am looking out for one of these, either an a6 comp or an m550d, which one should I go for? Can't make up my mind.
It's down to personal choice. The X5 does have a higher driving position, which a lot of drivers prefer, certainly I do with X5's and Amaroks.
@@DarksideDevelopments I was talking about the 5 series f11 model m550d. I am not realy into jeeps or it's gotto be something realy special like a Lenoir wrangler or something.
Ah that makes sense. It's still personal choice. Some here prefer BMW and others Audi. They are both great cars, the BMW probably looks the sportier.
I'd remove the cat and dpfs just for the sound alone!

You need also a Software and a good complet exhaust system, because with the original exhaust comes nothing out!!!!
How is that going To pass mot or tuv inspection or whatever its called In states?
Hi, my car had a remap and the guy claimed that I could get 195bhp from my engine. But he also said if he did a cut gut and shut on the DPF, there was another map he could put on. This map without the DPF would give me 215bhp. Does that sound right on my engine that is a 143bhp 2.0tdi A4 engine code CAGA? I read somewhere that the most you should push out of it is around 180bhp. Anything over that is over doing it and risky. Is that true? Very good video by the way, always interesting thanks 👍

I have a question. Is it a must to delete the cat or I can only delete dpf and leave the rest parts stock (except software)
better to leave the DPF and take the CAT out if you don't want to do software.
Another question guys. I heard you talking about the car failing MOT with the downpipes, even with a remap. I had a couple fast diesels and had them tuned, bigger turbo, intercoller, complete straight trough exhaust and a remap, CO2 was just fine at MOT because my tuner tunes it a certain way it doesnt blow too much CO2 when it's not under load, they don't test them under load over here dunno how it is over there?
We don't have any issues with emissions, it's the visual inspection when the emission controls are removed

Seen your vehicles floating around a lot on t internet the last year or so, I have a question, if I had all the mods done that you did to your red A5 you had last year, how the flaming hell would I get it past MOT pencil pushers? Would it be as simple as doing absolutely everything I can but slapping a high flow DPF in? Or just leave original DPF and hope it still sounds and performs well?
Put the DPF back in for the test, the sound won't be good with it in!

Hi Darkside. I have a 2014 Golf GTD. CUNA 184ps. I have done a dpf delete and I'm having some funny issues. Mostly some smoking when under hard acceleration. I think this has something to do with the DPF pressure sensors... My question is are these needed or not? Is there anything I can do to stop this without getting retuned again. I have gotten it tuned and it's from Topgear tuning.

@@DarksideDevelopments any video update on it soon? Looking to go hybrid turbo route myself. Trying to find out if its worth going hybrid turbos and what other limitations are there that needs upgrading I'd imagine injectors would be one of them.
On one of you other videos you guys mentioned the air box modification either from the front grill or small cut out mod from the the top. I have seen alot of people just replace the airbox with an c7 Rs6/7 box.
Looking to make a 500-550hp build but not much info on it in UK. There are few companies based in Eastern Europe that have gone hybrid route and achieved these numbers but its hard to find detailed info on what has been modified and upgraded.

That’s crazy! I’m not sure if you get anything in Finland except fail your mot.
If the MOT tester notices the dpf has been tampered wiith then that's an MOT failure.
Are u sure what pipe is what? I know that the (double pipe) are the dpf is.

Why delete EGR, its ment to be there and clean gases. Does it improve hp for example if I do simple chip and delete EGR does it improve hp over chip with EGR?

BHP and Torque numbers are great can we get some more real world numbers for each level of mod please? What I mean 0 to 60mph before and after in gear acceleration 30 to 60, 50 to 70, 1/4 mile times that sort of thing?

My friend bought a wagner ic for his bitdi, it did not fit tho.. he had to reweld 2 spots that interfered with a pipe and something else.. does you own ic fit bolt on as said or is it the same as the wagner? i saw that the measurements were around the same but the price was like 50% off! thx :)
I had the Darkside intercooler on my A7 BITDi recently - direct perfect fit. 100% recommend.

@@thorsten_7354 I can confirm I had the same problem, I took a big vise grip and bend it 20mm and fitted perfect, I can confirm that pipe is coated in rubber and you wont damage anything, hope that helps for future

@@thorsten_7354 they look the same but believe me they are not, you get what you pay, I got the car mapped, measured 306/640nm stock and after fitting the intercooler and map I got 400bhp/830nm , egt running not mad temp

Why does the turbo sound so much louder? And my car is smoking that much.... and the turbo is very loud!! It needs to go back to get the software sorted out.... can I damage the car if I’m driving it while it’s smoking like that?

The downpipe gives a big increase in sound. (Straight pipe is a term used when there's no silencers, Catalyst or DPF)
