Thanks man! Can't believe this started with a random comment from you like 3 weeks ago. Probably a case where it was a GOOD thing I could only play like 1-2 short sessions per week 😁
I might try some other 10's with [BARE] trap bar for fun. Definitely not at 320 (unlimited) or 333 (LOM) pounds 😂😂

that was amazing! but be careful, that fall back looked scary! 😅😂

Yeah it felt scary too 😵🤐
And sadly, my "NO!!" shout at the end wasn't even a "no, I'm gonna fall and get hurt!" but rather a "no, my legit FC thooooo!!!" 🤣
Seriously tho thanks, this was a very rare (the only) case something like this happened and I'll be careful. 🙂

Awesome work dude! Your entire setup in house is just so crazy. One day I'd love to have something half as cool in my own house, haha. 573 Ko Na Mi!

Being off heroin and working my @$$ off to bring my life together and move on (with a huge heaping of God's grace!) over the last 13 years was definitely a huge motivator! Thanks!
We are truly blessed tho (I mean just to have a house now in general!), and the basement is just so ideal (unfinished, but has 10 ft from floor to ceiling joists). Truly all our needs were provided and then some. Since we had a kid too (with another on the way shortly), I otherwise wouldn't be able to regularly go to a gym for the next several years anyway (or an arcade, but I'm beyond that point in life - and we now live really far from any lol).
Just set your goals and do the work for it! Things like this take time unless you have some lucky circumstances. Not sure how old you are, but it took me til 35 to now realize this. Stay away from drugs, work hard, keep good company around you, and I'm sure you could do it much sooner than I did! 😂

@Isaac Lee I recently dropped drinking and weed vaping myself, so I'm in the same boat as you, using exercise to keep me away from the poisonous stuff. One day I definitely want to have one of my own cabs. My metal pad and arcade visits will have to do for now XD

@@Hermaphroditious Having a metal pad at home is already a step above my time growing up / college days and beyond. I do miss the days of going to arcades though!
And for real, I'm so happy to hear you dropping that stuff! Alcohol is one of the nastiest substances on earth and quitting that is a huge step. I'm actually all for medicalized pot, it's further research, and not throwing ppl in jail just for having some trees, but the whole recreational use thing is getting way out of hand. Some of my "funnest" memories I have involve the several years I spent as a 24/7 stoner, but in hindsight it just stunted everything about my growth as a productive adult. Not to mention it definitely was a gateway drug (for me at least). Not to be mistaken for using it once and suddenly I'm sniffing everything, but the lifestyle of always being high definitely had me seeking out more. But with how easily accessible and lax it is now, it's just to easy to fall into the false comfort of blazing all day.
Ugh, I can go on forever about it. My point is, I'm really proud of you man. And I can relate - I started exercising (lifting weights) during my 3.5 year stay in a residential drug rehab and it's stuck with me since then. One of the biggest reasons I attribute to why I've managed to stay away from drugs for so long. Exercise is the literal antidote to opioid addiction. Sure, it takes hard work in and of itself, but provides the same hit to the same receptors while actually improving our health.
As you can tell by now I tend to ramble lol. Keep up with exercise man. It helps improve every aspect of life, and almost always its lasting effects are so far beyond anything a pill could ever give you!

@@i5lee8bit I appreciate the reply, seriously. What you're doing me is also helping me in its own way - reminding me of what can be done with consistent dedication to exercise. That, and it's nice to see someone who prefers no bar play like myself. Of course, no shade to bar users, I just like to feel like the dance game is more dance than game XD

@@Hermaphroditious Sorry, meant to respond sooner but we were on our way out of state, and then I went right to work all weekend, while having my son to watch!
Anyway, really glad it inspires you! Before my pec tear / surgery (2016), I was pretty massive / strong (doing consecutive strict muscle ups at my heaviest 260 weight) but honestly at the same time getting chubbier too hahaha. Just saying this because it's part of how it may seem like I got into shape pretty quickly since I started DDR again. I did have some "muscle memory" in my favor - but there were many years of fitness work before my bigger injuries. Even though I know I'll never be that *strong* again, I feel better than I ever have, now adding DDR (i.e. cardio that WORKS) into the mix. Gotta think of the future, not beating up my joints anymore. But fitness is definitely a lifelong journey - and will provide lifetime benefits! Keep it up!
Yeah playing no bar is just so much more fun for me. I mean, it's necessary if I were playing 10's (or 15+, whatever nowadays), or marvelous attacking and needing to up the speed mods to the point I MUST use the bar, but then it's just not as fun for me. And I consider the game more like rhythmic stomping than dancing (at least playing tech, not freestyle obviously haha), but yeah even then it feels more natural to do it without leaning on support 😁

I finally rewatched this myself, and realized if I hadn't tapped the right arrow really quick (while falling backwards to my death while holding a 55lb+ trap bar... thanks, actual bar!! 🤪), I would have almost definitely dropped that last freeze... And if you slow it down, you can see the left freeze arrow fading out just before getting the O.K! Whew!
