Day 3 Snazzy on Trail. Continental Divide Trail 2024. Crazy Cook headed towards Lordsburg, NM

This is day three of my thru hike of the continental divide trail 2024. I have some issues with some blisters on each foot that started to get worse and worse as the day progress but definitely my favorite day on trail as the terrain begin to change started going over and around features which was a nice change since the two previous days you could see where you were headed all day. The rattlesnakes exist primarily to distract you from the cactus which are the real danger. When plants attack! Welcome to New Mexico!

Trying to decide which I hate worse chafing or blisters. Do you think it's from your shoes or the terrain? Buddy, keep your eyes peeled for more of those rattlesnakes. Good luck and enjoy NM. I miss NM so much.

Ooh that’s a tough one. I think I hate chafing more. I think it’s a mix of the terrain, sand in my shoes and me not training with pack weight on. But feel like they are slowly getting better🤞
