    ATTENTION: The UNEDITED REACTION of this movie had to be deleted from Patreon due to copyright issues. The footage can't be tampered for reuploading so it is no longer there. I am so so sorry. I hope you understand. (9/29/2021)

      It's kinda comic accurate btw, but comic Diana is faaaaaaar more powerful(movie Diana is more comparable to comic Hippolyta) and the movie mixes different origin stories and had some other notable changes(WW couldn't just kill Ares for example and needed to defeat him differently, he's so powerful that he could wreck the whole Justice League by growing huge and literally just stepping on the planet, no joke) besides the World War 2 to World War 1 one.

    Originally, Diana was sculpted from clay by Queen Hippolyta. Her origin changed and updated in each comic book era. Recently DC retconned it that she’s the daughter of Zeus.
    The story of her creators as well as the hows and whys of her creation is also fascinating. A polyamorous threesome, one of them the inventor of the polygraph test, created Wonder Woman. As crazy as that sounds, it gets crazier. They even made a movie about it, “Professor Marston and the Wonder Women”

    I absolutely love this movie. Its genuinely my second favorite movie of all time. I love the message, the characters, the romance, the villain, literally everything about this movie.
    Also to large, Diana is a god too. As Ares said, only a god can kill another god. And she is a child of Zeus just like Ares. They are half siblings and thats why she can kill him. Zeus left her, the god killer, with the Amazons and Queen Hippolyta so that they can raise her and keep her safe until she’s ready to fight Ares.

    The movie may be based on Greek mythology but they really put a Judeo-Christian spin on it. Ares was essentially the John Milton version of Lucifer from Paradise Lost... He didn't make people sin or do evil but just tempted people with it... He disguises himself as a peacemaker... the Amazons/Hebrews were the chosen people of Zeus/God... mankind doesn't deserve to be saved but is anyway because their savior loves them despite it... and Diana/Jesus is the child of God/Zeus sent to the world to save man. As someone who loves mythology seeing a merging of those two myths was really interesting.

The Amazons are from ancient Greece era and are immortal, they are not superhuman, but they could definitely outdo the world's top female and most male athletes of today. Diana is superhuman because she's a demigoddess. In the early comics, she was crafted from clay and brought to life by the Greek goddesses who also blessed her with godly beauty, wisdom, strength, compassion and battle prowess. She grew up training and perfecting her fighting until she became the greatest hand to hand combatant in the DC universe and that's according to Batman.

    As a hardcore Wonder Woman fan of over 35 years, I freaking LOVE this film. Along with the animated one it is adapted from. Though, DC animated films are far superior to their live-action ones.
    I went into this movie with low expectations and NOT a fan of Gal Gadot, at all. Well, needless to say in the end I LOVED both film and actress. She IS Diana. She IS WW. And many, many fans hated the second film. I liked it, a lot for numerous reasons. One the gold armor suit. Love all reactions and look forward to many more. 🤗🤗

    This may be the only good DC movie actually linked to Justice League, Aquaman is okay but rough and Shazam is good but has very little to do with DC in general aside from references. Justice League(Both Snyder's and Whedon's suck though Whedon's is better but a better piece of shit is still shit) BVS sucked and MOS I liked originally but the more I thought on it and went back and watched the less I liked it finding more and more cracks in the characters.

      @redacted1093 Před 3 lety

      @@oliviarogers3559 Aquaman came off too cartoony after Justice League and Wonder Woman plus I think the Atlantean plans to attack the surface were really stupid considering it's post Justice League meaning they'd face a revived Superman(whom in both the Whedon and Snyder films is shown to just manhandle both the League and Steppenwolf). Shazam was good but has very little to do with Justice League or the DCEU at present. Overall I think DC deserves better especially considering the great stories they have but Warner Bros and Snyder were in too much of a rush trying to play catch up that they didn't do any good world building.

Her bracelets subdue her full power which when they are removed she could go into rage and destroy everything in her path. "This is from the comics". The Amazon's were made by the Greek gods as well but their more human and are also immortal in life but can be killed by any weapon. "THEY ALSO HAVE NO MEN ON THE ISLAND BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED TO REPRODUCE SEEING THAT THEY ARE ALL IMMORTAL . AND THEY DON'T ALLOW MEN ON THE ISLAND.

  • @ieyke
    @ieyke Před 2 lety +2

    "Is this true to the comics?"
    Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....yes?
    Yes. I guess.
    The problem is that DC Comics a neverending clusterfuck of inconsistency and mismatched reboots in the same way as the DC movies are.
    Like Marvel Comics have been consistent and have never rebooted in their entire history.
    They are EXTREMELY consistent.
    DC Comics reboots and scraps you favorite characters every couple of years and replaces them with knock-offs that you hate....or maybe love....and then they too will be gone soon enough and replaced.
    So, yes, Wonder Woman is an accurate depiction of.....some versions of Wonder Woman.
    But broadly, yes, she's a Greek Amazon from Paradise Island/Themyscira, and the daughter of the mythological Amazon queen Hippolyta and Zeus....or....sometimes....her mom made her from clay (similar to the Greek myth of Galatea) and it was brought to life by Zeus.
    This SHOULD be set in World War 2, instead of WW1, but they didn't want to make it TOO similar to Captain America:The First Avenger - especially since this movie is basically just a mash-up of Captain America:TFA and Thor (except Greek mythology instead of Norse).

    I hated the fully opaque algorithm-breaker over top the tiny movie, and stopped watching halfway. But I came back because I found your reactions very appealing. You just paid attention and appreciated just how good this movie was. Would it be possible to make the text a little transparent or maybe make the movie field a bit bigger? Regardless, your reactions were really good. A lot of reactors make all kinds of smart-a** remarks, signalling they're smarter than the director, or that they could've written this or that scene better. I came back and really enjoyed you guys. It's so refreshing to watch people actually watch the movie without trying to call attention to their brilliant "input." Guess I'll have to subscribe and check out your other videos. Nice job! One could say there was a force field around it, but Diana's powerblast weakened the walls which prevented anyone from the outside from entering. But the weakened barrier is why Steve and the rest got through.
