This was such a fun reaction. I'm thinking of watching the X-Men series next, but what do ya'll think?
It is good that you are watching these. Because Spiderman 3 in the current MCU with Tom Holland will also have the 2 other spiderman (Tobey/Andrew) in it (Multiverse). I believe that all 3 Spiderman together take on the sinister 6 (Including the villain from Tobey's Spiderman 2 played by the same actor.).
YES 😁. X-men is my childhood. Would love to hear you guy’s thoughts.
Loved the 90s X men cartoons, the movies were a great follow up.
As Palpatine said: DO IT!
Yes you should!!!! They are so good
Fun fact: When Peter caught MJ and that plate of food, it was NOT CGI. Apparently, it took about 150 takes before they finally got it right.
Wow, that's amazing. I never woulda thought that.
Ye I believe they put glue on the plate and sped up the shot a little, but thats it pretty cool shot
I think it was done with magnets
I heard he did it on his first take
@@davantebarbain3216 me too
i adore how they arent stuck with the mcu sort of formula and quippy self awareness back then. its so sincere and it feels like its about the characters first and the powers second
And no forced politics
"We are who we choose to be. Now choose!" This line always stuck with me.
The part where Norman says "Don't tell Harry" always breaks my heart 🥺😭
It’s such a human moment that makes him that much better of a villain
Wold be funny if Peter cut him of, saying: “U DONE GOOFED BOY!”
Lol, this was my Child-Hood in a Nutshell.
Same.
Facts the early 2000’s with raimi trilogy and Harry Potter was my childhood
you don't need a hyphen there :)
Facts lmao movie is fire 🔥
Yup
"WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY"
LEGENDARY LINE.
That did not originate with the film, but with the original comics from the early '60s.
"i missed the part where thats my problem"
Legendary line
I actually like how the webs come straight out of his wrist! 😅 This is my favorite Spider-man
Same. Toby’s Spider-Man is the best.
Raimi took the organic webs from a rejected 1996 James Cameron script that had Electro and Doc Ock as the main villains.Doc Ock being more of a mentor to Peter also came from that script.
kirsten dunst ( mary jane ) was probably the only person close enough to actually being in high school bc she was 18 / 19 when filming this .
Isn’t it funny how teenagers in the early 2000s look different than teenagers now? Like they look wayyyy older
@@whitenoisereacts actually look the 15 years old girls now they look in the mid's 20 (some of them but still)
@@whitenoisereacts true lol
What's bad in it?
@@scottchaison1001 ??
The fact that the Green Goblin is Norman’s split personality is such a cool detail. Green Goblin is one of the greatest Spider-Man villains ever written. Willem Dafoe absolutely killed it!
This movie and the next ones have more depth than some of the newer superhero movies tbh
Definitely.
Especially the MCU Spiderman movies. They don't have any depth at all.
Bold statement, Dr. Strange had shit hidden everywhere in dialogue
@@maxcanonstunner6532 and this is how i know you didn't watch the movies at all. You just have nostalgia for this movies
@@joseantoniogomezrodriguez1724 nope lol looks like you haven't watched the Sam raimi movies. If you had, you would know that the MCU movies literally has no depth what so ever. And please don't talk to me about nostalgia. Everyone who mentioned it lost the arguments to me. So argue with me without saying nostalgia next time. It's not like using the word nostalgia would prove me anything in arguments lol
Fun Fact: The Goth Girl that says "guy with eight hands, sounds hot" is Lucy Lawless. She was Xena warrior Princess, but has also been in X-Files, Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, Eurotrip, Spartacus, Ash vs The Evil dead, etc...
Dude! I didn’t even recognize her from Ash vs Evil Dead. That’s crazy!
@@whitenoisereacts guys Tip: REACT TO SPIDER-MAN 3, and I highly recommend, the Editor's Cut edition... It's on Amazon and online. Cheers magical true believers!!!!
We already did...sorry
I remember this movie was what everybody needed after the 9/11 attacks it brought back hope for many. From what I've heard at 23:46 The New Yorkers banding together on the bridge was coming from real emotions, the big American Flag at the end represents the people who lost their lives, and in one scene you can see The World Trade Centers in Spiderman's eyes.
I saw this in theaters. Seeing Spider-Man fling up onto the flagpole at the end gave me chills. Can’t wait for you to see Spider-Man 2.
It still gives me chills
They actually added that last minute and postponed the release to 2002 because of 9/11. They added the flagpole scene to imply their support for America post terrorist attack
@@jacobmass3441 facts lmao 😂🤣
Spider-Man 2 is my favorite comic book movie of all time. No one understands how a comic book movie should sound and feel more than Raimi. Absolute genius!
2:23 if you look at videos of high schoolers around the early 2000s, they actually look that old. Maybe it’s the way they dress, or maybe it’s the stuff in the food back then... idk, but it works for the context of the time period
Hmm...that’s interesting. But ur totally right.
Growing up around that time, teens were eating incredibly unhealthy things back then. They even wrote songs about the obesity crisis of 2004. Schools had fastfood restaurants selling food right beside the cafeterias to prevent students from leaving campus (they were still raw post 9/11 and Columbine)
Kinda weird. But maybe genetics have something to do with it, too.
I feel this it felt like people back then were bigger and taller.
The next one along with The Dark Knight are two of the best superhero movies of all time
Complete agree
This film is a masterpiece that defined my life!
Fun fact both the goblin and peter had changes made to them at the last minute goblin had an actual rubber mask that looked closer to the comics and peter had mechanical webshooters but they switched to organic webshooters at the last minute
Finally, someone admits that they watched it, and not just pretending cringe
Thanks man!
iunno but that seems like the reactions of someone who is over acting and purposely tryna change 9 tail brush's thoughts and predictions of the movie over and over for absolutely no reason in almost every single video. don't wanna be mean but the only reason I keep watching these reactions is because of 9 tail brush and I cant stand when James does that. honestly you see the difference in how James reacts to movies he never watched and it feels natural and not so cringe
Well that sucks dude. Sorry I feel like that
these actors may look old for high school but tbh they were natural and fresh-faced compare to the actors highschoolers now lol
Even though I still enjoy the MCU Spider-Man movies, the Rami Spider-Man movies will always be iconic.
It's so cool to see a reaction from someone who hasn't seen it before!
Still remember when I watched it in a theater. That thrilling last shot. We were like........ okay, that's a game-changer. Something is happening. Raimi's first two Spider-Man movies are better than 95% of the MCU movies.
I remember watching all three of the movies in the theatre. The best experience.
Nice analysis on the overall themes in the movie. To me it’s the better portrayal of what spider-man is like in the original comics. The movie holds up still even with the amount of great marvel movies that followed. Great writing and casting. It’s got that right mix of being fun but also having a story that makes you care about the characters. I’d Love to see a reaction to “Watchmen”. It’s one of Zack Snyder’s better comic movies. It’s dark. Gritty and has so much atmosphere.
This movie makes me feel old as fuuuck
The fact that 2002 is old for some people is just… yeesh
"This is like way back in the day" It hasn't been that long has it...fuck im old.
Sam Rami is awesome. You should see one of his older films too. He did a Anti-Hero movie called Darkman before he did Spider-Man. Darkman is character Sam Rami made up himself. Liam Neeson and Frances McDormand are in the film. The character is like cross between The Phantom of The Opera and Hunchback because he gets disfigured. He is forced to be a Master of disguise but his disguises don’t last long the sunlight becomes of how they are made. The texture of disguise doesn’t last long in sunlight.
I love this Spiderman trilogy ! Nice reaction guys
This movie was the first film I remember seeing in Theaters... I was 3/4 yrs. old at the time
I absolutely love this. It's always interesting to view one of my favorite movies through someone else's eyes, haha. So nice to see someone who's never seen it before come to the conclusion that it actually has depth! A lot of people think these movies are silly because of the added campiness, but there's much more to them! Very fun reaction. One thing though... Respect the hyphen!! It's *Spider-Man!* ;) Sorry, pet peeve of mine lol.
And they say that A *HERO COULD SAVE US!!!*
😂🖤🙌🏻
Literally everytime someone talks about the Tobey movies I just hear that song
Love love LOVED the reaction to this!
The main message I got from the TB trilogy was "Actions have consequences." You CAN'T know what they will be, not until you are standing in it.
Hi, I'm happy to see you two again. This makes me remember, when I made my little sister watch this movie, so now it's part of her childhood too, hahahaha
1. As a kid, I really hated long beginning credits because I was impatient and just wanted to watch the movie. But some movies, like this one, the beginning credits only made me excited, I love the sequence of graphics of the webs and the font.
2. Yeah, of course they're all a little old for highschool, but that's what high school ( themed) movies did until about a decade ago when casting directors started actually trying to get young and age appropriate actors for teen roles. But I actually don't mind it, I mean, he's supposed to be a senior in this film I think, and he always looked somewhere in that ball park to me. Besides, just another one of those 2000 things that make this movie nostalgic to me.
3. YES. I agree, the effects and the transitions are done SO well. I can't really put my finger on it, but it just beats all the other movies because of it. I guess maybe it's because it reminds me of comics basically. Cheesy, sure, but also iconic and well placed and just all around awesome. Feels like a comic page come to life without it being cartoonized or animated or the exaggerated sound effects ( I don't know if that makes any sense).
4. Classic superhero trope, *instant abs*
5. The tray catch BRO... that took no CGI and I only just learned this a couple years ago. 150 TAKES. THAT is why I love this trilogy, so much of this had so much genuine dedication put into it. It is one of my favorite scenes in this whole movie, in the whole trilogy, maybe in all of cinema😄
6. Fight scene with Flash, second favorite scene.
7. This film is very special to me for several reasons, but the main reason being that he is one of the most relatable characters I've ever seen on tv. Not in the sense that I relate to his experiences with growing up without his folks, or with two grandparents struggling to make ends meet.. but because it's relatable to others, and a common human teen condition. All the things he's going through are things that other teen guys have been through during high school. You could even go so far as to say that his spidey powers could be a loose metaphor for puberty. It's easy to figure out his motives and why he does what he does because his behavior and his situation is recognizable. I was a freaky loner in high school for three years after falling out with a couple friends, and although it has nothing to do with superpowers, I can find some way to relate to this fictional guy who is around the same age I was in high school going through my own personal shit.
A second reason, is that I was really young when I first watched this movie for the first time and it just so happened to be the first superhero movie I ever watched. It sparked a love of this type of character in me, and by the time Marvel started pumping out their movies I was obsessed. Every time I watch this though, it takes me back to that memory of watching the movie and just wishing as a kid that Spider-Man was real and that superheroes like that actually existed. Some people may say it's cringy and outdated, but in my opinion, it's a movie that regardless of its quality of effects, has managed to stay relevant today, whether that be the dialogue or in meme form. There's certainly no shortage of people who hold it close to their souls as one of the best movie trilogies of all time, including me.
Alright.. I'm gonna stop now. If I go on you'll get a ten page essay in the comments and I just wanted to let loose a few thoughts😂
1:54 THEME GETS ME EVERYTIME.
CHILLS
MJ scream scares me more than goblin's jumpscare 🤣
I love Andrews and toms, but tobeys will always give me goosebumps no matter what
Have you guys watched Pirates of the Caribbean?? Is a must watch series.
If I’m right in some of the older comics the webs actually do come from his hands in some of the newer comics they changed it and they made it to where he has invented a device which is kind of strange I don’t know why they changed it
First time watching???... this is my favorite movie of all time
This has to be the best reaction to My favorite movie of all time! Thank you so much!
THIS BRINGS BACK MY CHILDHOOD MEMORIES. AS A KID I LOVED SPIDER MAN AND WAS OBSESSED WITH IT. TOBEY MAGUIRES SPIDER-MAN WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AS ITS SO ICONIC. WILLEM DAFOE DID A FANTASTIC JOB PLAYING GREEN GOBLIN/NORMAN OSBORN. LOVED THE DIALOGUE ‘WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT RESPONSIBILITY’. REALLY ENJOYED THIS MOVIE AS A CHILD.
Please do Spider-Man 2!! Pls bros! :)
Yeah! It’s on Patreon rn, but it’ll be coming out next week
From what I remember I've watched this movie like a hundred times.
Best spiderman reaction video guys
Waiting for the second part!) I’m 27 y.o so this is my favorite SM movie ❤️❤️❤️
The scene where Peter catches everything on the food tray when MJ slips in thr cafeteria, that is a practical effect. I heard they did over 100 attempts to get him to catch everything but the fact that they did it with no cgi is an awesome bit to me. The practice and dedication to get it just right....
I loved your reaction guys. can't wait for Spiderman 2
One of my all time favourite films and my favourite superhero next to daredevil! You can just tell the love for the source material by the cast and crew namely Sam Raime.. Its a beautiful story of how Raime got the directors roll.. During his talks with the studio he simply talked about his love for the character!
Yes it is cheesy and you could argue that some effects do look a little dated but these films were a huge part of my childhood.
The in camera action and how brutal the final fight is just never gets old for me. I have watched this film many many times and I enjoy it more and more every time.
Some scenes worth mentioning that get my blood pumping every time is when Peter chases the robber through the city.. That coupled with Danny Elfman's score is incredible and gets me every time.
Keep up the hard work..been binging your videos for a while now and your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Stay safe my friends and much love from the UK 🍻😎👊❤️
I love all your reactions guys. This is probably my favourite movie of all time
Awww thanks brother!!
Tobey Maguire isn’t the easiest person to work with so some of the crew members of this movie actually tried to pay Joe Mangienello (Flash Thompson) to actually hit Tobey in their fight and Joe actually said that when the scene was being shot he could see them nodding to him to do it
Wait what?? That’s so messed up!!
@@whitenoisereacts
Michael Cera’s character in the movie ‘Molly’s Game’ is based on Tobey Maguire
Well look, having worked the little I have in movies I know how much stuff can get twisted by media so, I’m gonna enjoy his movies, and if I ever meet the man, I’ll tell u how he is lol
He’s not like that in real life. Straight up slander
The great responsibility line does not come from this movie it was from the comics way before this movie.
Glad a found this channel! I had trouble focusing on my schoolwork because I was watching your videos on the "Spider-Man" and more L.O.L.
This Spider-Man could be the most recent one and still be the best out of them all.
I love the Marvel movies from the early 2000’s just because of the fact that they focused more on the depth of the character a lot more than they do now. They don’t try to make every scene unnecessarily comedic like they do now and I miss it. I was only 3 when this Spider-Man came out but it’s still my favorite.
Same, I was also 3 when this came out! I also miss the 2000s Marvel movies, I actually grew up with the two Fantastic Four movies back then and they're fun. I just can't get into the MCU style although I liked The Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton never fails) and Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies, maybe I just like certain superheroes way more than others lol, mainly Spider-Man, Batman (DC I know) and the F4. The 2000s Marvel movies weren't always corny with MCU style humour and they actually had emotional depth to the characters and story.
Yo this was my jam back in the days :D
Hoping you cover all three of these classics as well. Even the infamous spiderman 3😂
Awesome one for sure. My favorite. Excited to watch this, I hope you don't get disappointed by old cgi ninetails😅 it's still awesome for it's time
Ah, this movie is my childhood! When my niece grows up, I'm showing her this movie!
Fun fact They had more than 100 takes to get everything on the lunch try right
A long with Tim Burton’s Batman and Richard Donner’s Superman this has such a great style
And in all of those films the nighttime scenes are amazing
Bro your reaction is very much my reaction towards this movie 😭😭❤️
Great reaction guys. Here's my comment for the algorithm 👍🏽
I watched this movie 100 times and always finding out sometnhing new all the time
Yeah one thing I miss about the old marvel movies in the early 2000s.... is that their movies were filled with more real life drama and grit.. it's awesome and they also put alot of undertones and Easter eggs in the background in most scenes and its subtle 👍🏾
Th best spiderman liveaction movies ever made. The only father figure for spidey is uncle ben,not a millonaire just a good ,caring and honest man.The fraise comes from the comics.
The "with great power comes great responsibility" line has more weight in the movies since it comes from his uncle while I comics it comes from the narrator of the comic
Yeahhh that opening titles music!
I enjoy the newer Spidey movies but this one has the best (most memorable) score. If I heard this anywhere, I would recognize it as this particular Spider-Man score. Danny Elfman's genius strikes again.
Spiderman, Harry Potter and Spongebob pretty much my childhood
I'd love to see you guys react to The Count of Monte Cristo. So tragically few reaction channels have watched that masterpiece.
Amazing reaction!
So Norman Osborn or green goblin had a double personality, something like, really a disorder. as a child and now I still wonder if there is more information about his possible disorder.
#funfact If I’m not mistaken, the film took the inspiration from Spider-Man 2099 where Miguel O’Hara(Spider-Man 2099) revealed his thorns on his finger tips to crawl on walls, buildings, skyscrapers etc. as well as organic web shooters where he can produce webs from his wrists…..

YES. Ik that people like to give these movies a lot of flak but honestly, this is easily my favorite Spiderman trilogy.
I like Tom Holland's Spiderman, but this is still better imo.
The start of something Amazing.
what kind of childhood did this dude have that he didn't watch the first Spiderman
8:33 that was actually an idea from an unmade spider-man script that was going to be directed by James Cameron
Love this trilogy, the best Spider-Man movies to date still. Sam Raimi being a horror director making superhero movies was an awesome formula I never knew I needed, the cast is also great, Willem Dafoe in a superhero movie is awesome. Danny Elfman's score is legendary for these movies.
It's one of the best movie trilogies along with The Dark Knight trilogy and the new Planet Of The Apes trilogy (that is getting a sequel in 2024 called Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes and Matt Reeves who directed the 2 sequels also directed The Batman which is a great movie too).
Deffo do the next. Spider Man 2 is my favourite superhero movie. 😃😁
