God hates children. I know this to be true.
To undergo magic spells is a difficult situation. You are in a constant war all the time. Devil fights you on different levels in life. Thankfully we have our guard angles who take care of us asking from our Lord to help us if we deserve it (fast, confess and go to church every Sunday).

I’m extremely amazed about how little Americans, Europeans, Australians, etc, know about the spiritual world. As a Latina , born and raised in the evangelical world and now converted to the Catholic faith, I can tell that witchcraft is very real. The host seems to not understand that regular law system doesn’t work against this type of situation, and many times they are part of that same evil behind the doors.

Reminding you , can't see all perspectives of Europeans , Australians, Americans. Or anyone. Simply by viewing few humans. Truly they may know more than the one claiming.

I have a Filipina friend who has talked about MANY encounters in her country (and MANY priests have written about them) with the demonic than manifests as cryptid creatures. The law does not often work; she is not advocating violence. Sometimes people in these parts of the world will call a witchdoctor to banish a demon (which, by God's mercy, sometimes works) or call upon a Catholic priest even if the victim is not Catholic.
I have heard about a woman who practiced witchcraft, so her neighbor started praying the St. Michael prayer every day facing her house. Within a few months the woman stopped doing witchcraft and was converted too.

I agree with your final point. Christianity is not a pacifist religion. There is a time to take up the sword and the very obvious time to do so is when a young woman is being abused in the way described here.

My ancestors were french haitians, but my family lived in Venezuela for 4 generations until I had to leave. Witchcraft is something that creeps in society because people turn into themselves and their whims, be it lust, greed, thirst for power, people will resort to the occult for quick fixes and even "protection". Venezuela is very sick spiritually speaking, babalawo and palerismo is everywhere, I've experience it myself, you can feel the principalities acting all aroind you, be it demonic or angelic, it's very obvious. This hits close to home for me. As, in my youth, I was intrigued by what I read of Voudou. How their Gods, “Loa,” or “Lwa,” were likened to Catholic Saints. For instance, their Eshualegbara (Papa Legba/Legba) is likened to Saint Peter. As Saint Peter holds the keys to Heaven, so their Legba is the “keeper of the crossroads,” between worlds.
So foolish was I, that I followed the instructions of a Bokor. Which is essentially a rouge practitioner, who does not follow the Religiosity of Voudou. I followed his instructions and performed a “crossroads,” ritual.
Needless to say, my life took many awful turns, afterward. So bad, were these turns, that O found myself PHYSICALLY wrestling with things, that my eyes could not see. Whatever it was, had an intimate knowledge what what frightened me. Things that I shared with NO ONE.
Such things continued, until l fell to my knees, and begged our Lord for mercy, and the aid of Saint Michael. It immediately stopped, and never returned. For THAT, I belong 100% to our Lord (not that I had any choice in the matter).

I didn't ever get into voodoo or anything but I had a similar experience. I started hearing things that we're there and it scared me. Once, I heard a horse in my left ear. Nobody knew I was scared of horses. (I developed an irrational fear of them when I was about 20 years old.) I also started having very wicked dreams of demons.
In a nightmare, I cried out to Jesus. He saved me and gave me superpowers. So the next day, I broke down and repented, forgave and asked for my own forgiveness. Within a day or two, I could tell a difference. I wasn't hearing anything. I believe it was a familiar spirit trying to make me fearful.

According to my grandfather, his baby brother (who died when he was a few months old) got mysteriously ill with an illness that doctors could not explain - according to grandpa, his body just started "drying up" and nothing could be done. There was in our village a woman who was rumoured to be a witch and who apparently laughed at the situation and threatened to do the same with my grandpa, who was just 2 years old at the time. After he started getting ill as well, his dad (my great-grandpa) picked up a sickle from the farm and physically threatened her. My grandpa started improving immediately.
To this day, he says his brother (who was his only sibling) is his heavenly protector. RIP Uncle Leonel, in the end God won you over Satan.

Flame of love is exactly supposed to blind the devil. And consecration, exactly. IDK why these are not the go to solutions!
I struggle with the desire to become a "hand of God," for lack of a better term. I struggle with wanting to be a physical warrior for the Lord - to bring, as Matt put it, "the Bible AND the sword." But I know we have to be very careful, because violence wrapped in the cloak of spirituality can awaken in the heart wrath and zealotry. We might start out by taking out evildoers, but it can be twisted - look at those members within the Muslim religion, for example, who carry their word and if you don't accept it you get the sword. I have to fight the temptation to be a physical fighter and instead be a spiritual fighter, to be strong in prayer. Our true enemy is the devil.
I think the big trap is making “the sword”(really any mundane solution/tool) into a crutch. Which feeds into a “I can do it all by myself” type of mentality. The devil wants us to fight him on his terms. He’d love us to try and fight him with swords, guns, rhetoric, and our own “spiritual power”. He can win those fights. He’s had a bazillion years to figure out tricks to win those fights. Lucky for us though, we don’t need to fight him on his terms, instead we send him scampering away by trusting in Him.
Amen! It’s a slippery slope. I often wonder whether we are to blame for what has become of the world and society. But I’m also often reminded of the way the Faith has spread throughout the world… and it was through love, as opposed to the sword… as opposed to the case of Islam. When I think of the sword, I think of it being turned against us, rather than we bringing the sword to the problem. That said, sometimes I think it’s hard to visualise an alternative to the problem because it does seem we can do much more. But by not doing anything, step by step, as a society, we’re getting worse and definitely receding further from God.
What can you do when the world, and its devils have buried you in debt and its material responsibilities? The average man used to have enormous amounts of free-time, that they were able to together, as a community, build catherdrals and many houses of worship. Now we can’t even safeguard the culture, let alone build anything of grandeur that the “peasants” of the past were able to. It’s truly sad… and I think there’s a deeper problem that the sword may not be able to solve. Rather it lies in us as a community…. We’re deeply fractured.

I grew up in Southwest Florida. Voodoo is very prevalent, especially when growing up, very dark stuff and scary. Violence is not rare. Pray for this girl.

I heard a story from one minister. There was a woman in his church whose husband would beat her. One day he punched her so hard he broke her jaw. So the pastor and the church elders went over and beat him, hard, and they told him if he ever hit his wife again they would be back.
The man never hit his wife again. He got born again, and eventually became a minister himself. And his testimony is, when he first received Jesus, it wasn't so much that he actually wanted him as it was that he was afraid of the pastor.

God gives power to fallen angels to do certain things, and he allows evil, and crazy things can happen, God is more powerful of course, but that doesn't mean that the evil one cannot do some crazy damage (just read the book of Job). We have PLENTY of spiritual weapons to dissarm situations, the Holy Face Chaplet, the Rosary, De Monfort's Consecration, The Scapular, the Litanies of the Dominican Order, the flame of love rosary, the 7 sorrows rosary, the devotion to St Judas Tadeus, the Sacraments. You can even combine them and it doesn't take up a lot of time from daily life. I'd start with the 7 Sorrows Rosary and the chaplet of the holy face (in latin if possible, it's not that hard) + Scapular (16th July) and then start De Monfort's Consecration and say a small daily prayer to St Jude, the patron of impossible causes. Am I (a former atheist) the only one that sees all these things as weapons and have tested them out?

I think as true disciples of Jesus we are to go into the world and make disciples and baptize them for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit then continue to teach them to obey. We don’t go out of our way to seek trouble or violence. However I think if God allows a means to protect ourselves and our loved ones then we should use it. Not from a place of malicious intent and hatred but from a heart loving your wife as Christ loved the church.
I am reminded by Sacred Scripture that vengeance is the Lord’s and he will see to it that this VooDoo Practitioner is brought to his knees.

Taking things in your own hands in violence is not following Jesus. God our Father fights our fights. Not us. That doesn't mean you can't defend yourself but who is your refuge? That should be God not your hands nor your thoughts or wants. You draw close to God and the devil flees. If you draw close to the devil then you are further from God because you have not been obedient to our Fathers instructions. I think that it could be lack of education. We have PLENTY of spiritual weapons to dissarm situations, the Holy Face Chaplet, the Rosary, De Monfort's Consecration, The Scapular, the Litanies of the Dominican Order, the flame of love rosary, the 7 sorrows rosary, the devotion to St Judas Tadeus, the Sacraments. You can even combine them and it doesn't take up a lot of time from daily life
