      I will say watch ordering stuff from A 1 auto also. Parts will be wrong and not last long. I bought two upper a arms in the past 2 years off them because they would start poping. Now i need a 3rd complete junk dont recommend

    That is true. I know it because I worked as a CS representative there (shipping line). You can't even imagine how many departments this company has (all online, around the world). We had a sales department, booking department, department that deals with reviews, department that deals with disputes, department that updates the products on the website, IT-department, supervisors, the department that deals with negative reviews and many more...I could not just deal with a problem myself. For example, if a person got a wrong product, I had to WRITE to the shipping department, they write or call to manufacturers and clarify whether a right or wrong product was sent, then we write to the customer on how he can return a product (of course previously we need to discuss it with the return department) and how much time he has wait for his refund (I have to settle this down with a billing department). This takes ages. You didn't mention it here, but the waiting line is huge. While talking to a customer I always saw around 40 persons on the waiting list. One guy told me he was waiting for a 1.5 hour. Moreover, during coronavirus we sold unexisting products. This is shocking. We were not allowed to call the manufacturers, but I consistently broke this rule, so after a while I realized why did they forbid it. So, many times I got calls "where's my product, I had to get it few days ago". I check the system "sent", then I secretly call a manufacturer and they answer "no, we did not send it, we didn't even made it, since the plant in China is closed, we can't predict anything, probably we get the material on October" (and this was June!). I put the tickets to our update department, to withdraw such products from the website, after a few days I flooded them, but all in vain. The products were still available and "successfully selling". CARiD returned the money afterwards, after customers' claims and calls, but I think they did it on purpose, they just needed the operational income to feed all those departments. I could bare only one month in this company. I am still shivering when recalling it. Since then no more Customer Service job ever. And no more CARiD for sure. I'm surprised they still exist

    Love the channel. Not sure how you paid for the parts, but if it was with a credit card I would highly recommend opening a dispute with your credit card company. Credit card companies will often fight and side with the consumer. I had to do this recently with some fender flares.

      Thank you, Jeremy. The parts were like $192 I think or roughly $200 so I definitely am wanting that money back. I’ll look into disputing it with my cc company on Monday. Honestly at this point I’ve been dealing with this for over a week and I just want this all to be done with. It’s been such an annoying situation

    I also had a terrible experience! Just ordered a Tyger sport rack for my boyfriend's truck and despite going through all the boxes to make sure I had the correct part on their website it was not the correct part and did not fit. They are allowing me to return it however I am out the $180 shipping fee that it cost to get the part sent to me. Very unhappy.

    I think the Remin kit is a bit better than the BNI one; just for future reference. Also, it's very important to throughly clean off all the residue on any surface where the adhesive is going, using some rubbing alcohol. Lastly, it will stick best to other hard, plastics, not leather or vinyl.

      @@garyshaw9404 I don't recall specifically, since I researched both so long ago. However, I vaguely recall the remin kits seemingly being a bit more accurate or precise and I thought looked better, at least from what I could tell.

    If this is a remin kit or similar, it is meant to have a 3m backing paper. The sticks are adhesion promoters. They aren't meant to be the main adhesion source and won't do anything if used in that manner. They are meant for corners, wrap around pieces, and tight small areas with existing adhesive. Also if any greasy-type cleaner was used on any interior pieces, even a year in the past, it won't adhere correctly at all. You have to use rubbing alcohol or wax and grease remover. I agree though, these kits aren't worth $200+ with their "mild upgrade-ish' appearance and carid is not good with customer care from what I can tell based on reviews.

    I just got some overlays from them , they do come with a 3m back n u use the glue stick to secure it even more , I do agree about some parts not lining up , I had to cut them into the shape .

      The majority of mine were noticeably off, plus from the advertisement there was no mention of having to apply the glue on the back of them yourself. Very disappointing.

      Maybe for each trim it’s different but mines had an option to by extra glue pens 🖊 which they work very well tbh , I couldn’t peel it off to sit it back on better . I got a video on my channel . And I show the ones that didn’t fit how they were too

    I bought chrome headlights for my gmc sierra 2001, when they came i did not check to see if the bottom light fit. I then compared the stock and CariD haedlights and the CariD headlights are huge compared to the stock ones

      First off, CoverKing seat covers are awesome haha when I put mine on my 2006 F150 they looked SO good! Everyone thought I had the lariat trim package inside haha but I'm glad I got ya before you went and gave them your business, they were an absolute nightmare to work with and I'll never use them again

    I have heard some great things about the Remin dash trim kits They are much better than the vinyl trims... Installation is key and you definitely have to use the adhesive promoter brush after all it is just 3M tape holding it together. It appears you got a knock off or a mix up because Remin products all use 3M adhesive in current products. I do have to agree that CarID has poor customer service though. I haven't bought much from them in years after they kept on sending me wrong items with the wrong color.

    You do have to pull off the red 3M backing. You also have to really clean the surfaces as well.

    Great video, I am going through the same thing. I bought a spoiler for my vette that doesn’t fit so I want to return it. Two times I called them to send me a return label and they said they were sending it right out. I have never received either label and what they didn’t tell me is the label is only good for 30 days so it doesn’t matter if you called them and told them you wanted to send them back within your 30 return period. They say now that it been over 30days and they won’t let me return them even if I told them I wanted to return them two weeks before my 30 days was up. I even talked to a snobby assed supervisor of which hung up on me. They would not give me any information like their address. She said you’ll hav3 to go online and find it. They are real slick. I know they didn’t even send me an address label and then after my 30days is up your basically Fucked.

    What did you think you were getting? It looks quite clear to me as far as B&I'd product. Many of the tutorials show people peeling off 3M backing. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but why did you proceed with sticking them on your car if you thought they were cheap. There's something out there that is real cheap and that is the paper/peel version like vinyl. I'm not buying from Carid but the 2D products are pretty much all the same. The glue stick are specifically designed just for edge reinforcement on thin areas. I wish you showed us more documentation on WHY you were unhappy vs just voicing off.

    I order a set of Lexoni wheels $7200 . They told me it would take 9 weeks to make . When my wheels got finished they got shipped to a warehouse in California. When they were shipped to the warehouse one got damaged no one told me so Carid shipped them back to Lexoni for repair. That took 3 more weeks. After shipping them to my P.O. Box address my wheels stayed at the post office for 2 hours & then got shipped back to Carid because they were to heavy for the post office to except. I called Carid they couldn’t tell my why they let me use a post office address to send my wheels. I ask them to send my wheels back to a different address, but they can’t find my wheels now so I guess I might have to file a complaint at the general attorney’s office.

    Same exact part number is at Summit Racing for 17% more - "Ships Direct from Manufacturer" - in 3 MONTHS. Carid says ships today.
    That is CARID complaint #2 - strung along not for 2 weeks but for MONTHS.

    Use primer , theres special vinyl primer by 3m And you need to prep it better if that doesn't work replace the adhesive..if You can't return it

    I had a bad short buy from them. I ordered rear brake drums and front rotors for my superstepside kit car. Was sent 2 boxes of rear drums but never got the front rotors. After getting a lady on the phone she looked it up and said i was sent 2 boxes with 2 drums in one box and 2 rotors in one box. I put one box one a scale open top showing one drum in the box. Shipping label showed the same weight. When they finally decided that I was short the rotors they agreed to call the manufacture to find they never sent them as they were on back order on their end. After 6 months of calling I finally received my money back. Will never buy from the again.

    Just encountered this place for the first time, and your video convinced me not to go forward with my purchase. A red flag -- which made me search and eventually find your video -- was that the site would not tell me how much shipping would be until AFTER I provided my address, email id, full name, etc. My info is valuable and I don't share it until I have to (i.e., when I am going to buy the product). I don't want to get spammed by them and whoever else they sell my info to forever if they tell me shipping costs a fortune and I never even do business with them. Just another slimeball tactic like the one you talked about.
    p.s., couldn't you just have challenged the purchase on your credit card?

    Carid is a funny place I order a rear diffuser for my 13 Mercedes c250 coupe it said 49$ but after I paid it came out to 150 then I called the next day and they said they will send my refund back but the next day the item was at my door store step🤣 and it said it wouldn’t be delivered or another month or so that’s why I canceled it not cause the prices I thought eBay would be faster but this was quick asf 😂😂

      Braxton, I have had good experience ordering from Auto Anything dot com. If anything, use Car ID and these websites are research tools, find the products you like, and then go order directly from the manufacturer if possible. If that's not an option, try and go with an eBay Motors or AutoAnything dot com since they have really good customer service teams

    man the same thing happened to me, i bought a bmw sport bumper for my bmw and when i got it , it wasn’t made of plastic, i it was made of fiber glass and i have to cut and do a lot of stuff and i wanted to return it and they told me we are not going to accept the return, and couple weeks after i spoke with some supervisor and they told me that i had to pay for the shipping wich was $200 and they were going to give me the refund for $50 and the bumper was $500

    Bought something I didn't mean to. Canceled only a few hours after. Never got an email or call. Sent it out anyways then I can calls and emails. Never got it shipped. Want a refund. Still haven't gotten a refund...just gave away like almost $300...

    Wish I would've seen this before I ordered a new custom steering wheel from them, it was supposed to take 6 weeks to dispatch and it's been 4months, they keep saying it's not their fault but the manufacturer's for the delays and now they delayed it by another month so I was sure this had to be some sort of a scam and that they are just trying to stall for 6 months so I can't get a refund from PayPal, I asked for a refund now so hopefully I get it because I paid $488.

    Andrew, I agree with you totally! I ordered a shop manual for a 2007 Mitsu Eclipse, and they sent me one for a 1998-2005 Eclipse. What good would that do me, I've got a 2007! If that were the only problem, that wouldn't be too bad- BUT- when I tried to chat with the idiot on line, explaining that they sent me the wrong manual, I was asked to send pictures of the manual showing part numbers, AND the vin number of the car--WTF!!??? Why can't they just issue a Return Authorization Request like everyone else in the world does?? I would like to pass this information on to anyone contemplating dealing with these idiots. DON'T!!!

      eBay is the best one I have ever used. Great selection of items and great return policies. Auto Anything is okay as well but I’ve only used them once but I had an issue with it being shipped to the wrong place but it was a FedEx mistake not their mistake but they still worked with me and got me a new part sent out no questions asked

    Can only recount my one and only personal dealing. Had a front shock/strut blow out. Ordered the Strut Top mounts from Carid. They arrived quickly 4 days later. However they sent me two USED Mounts.
    Submitted my complaint with pictures. No box to check for a refund? Told a response could be 3-5 days. Day 5 asked for an update. Was told they approved my request for replacement parts. Expect the UPS return label in 3-5 working days. Then mail the parts. Withing 24-72 hrs of receiving the parts and pending inspection the new parts would be shipped. This vehicle will probably be out of service for 21 days... Bottom line- 1) I purchased new parts. 2) They sold me used parts. Under the Federal Trade Commission 16CFR section 20 they have violated the law. I have filed a complaint.

    So it's not just me. I ordered a brake kit from them and they sent me one that said online would 100% fit my vehicle but in the end they were not the right part. They wanted me to take all these photos side to side and everything but I never got a refund.

    I just had a bad experience with CARid as well. Placed an order and immediately tried to cancel it and they told me I have to wait 3 to 5 days to know if the cancelation was accomplished. Boy I made a mistake. Will never order from them again.

    The customer service department is based out of the Philippines, when asked they say NJ. Basically, if you open the box and throw the box away , no return. They know nothing about the parts they just want the sale to cover themselves to reach quota.

    Yea i ordered tail lights and they filled with water after a rain storm a day later then took days of emailing and pictures. Then about 5more days for them to ok the return then about 2 months for my money to go back on my card after a email a week about why my money isnt back

    Yes this is a very unethical company. Bought some $247 tail lights that were faulty. They offered me $25 coupon. So they want me to spend more money at a unethical company. Then the woman came back and said they would give me $40 and told me to sale on eBay. So basically they want me to sale a faulty product online. This guy is definitely correct I never had a problem with auto anything. That’s what I get for trying this company.

    Are you sure you purchased the real carbon fiber one? The “carbon one was 190+ i believe and the real carbon fiber one was 269+. Also i’ve seen an install it was thick but idk i already bought it :/

    Man i couldn't of had a more opposite experience. So far i've ordered a brake kit, Headlight upgrades, coverking seat covers and now the remin dash kit. I ordered the glue pen to make sure it stayed put. I got the dash kit and no pen. Called customer service and within a day had the pen out for shipment. So far everything has been exactly as advertised and the one time i had to use customer service the were quick and took care of my needs.

      You are talking about a pen. I am talking about a set of wheels that cost me $2,000. Let me ask you, if you were them, what would you do for the customer if one of the wheels is not holding air? Would you tell the customer that even though their own shop put on the tires, that they are no non-returnable, because the tries were put on by them?. They sent you a pen that they forgot to send, (more evidence incompetence), but they are suppose to send you what you pay for. It did not cost hundreds of dollars,---but go ahead and try to return that pen anyway, just for fun. :(
      I will fix the leaky wheel myself, and this company is dead to me.

      I just installed the carbon fiber pillars on my car. They came with a sticky back ( 3m) and with two primer sticks for tight corners. Install was a breeze and the fit was fine. I think his problem was it had no sticky back.

    Iam currently having issues with them i received defective tail lights where the driver side is bad turn signal don't work like it should and also the brake light I called carid and there are giving me the same issue ill will continue buying from eBay where they don't gave this type of issue when you receive the wrong product or defective product

      @@AndrewDoesLife so I decided to call spyder directly and spoke to Cynthia from Spyder and she was very helpful even tho she said that I would still have to provide foto and video to carid showing the issue but that I will have to call her back after I email the video and Cynthia will call carid and have them forward it to her to help speed up the process so know it will be a priority its still upsetting but Iam happy with the customer service that spyder gave me so by that being said don't by from carid or any 3rd party just go straight to the company that sales the product .

    Just bought a Maval rack and pinion steering gear, lower bumper air dam, and a GM steering shaft from CarID with no problems. I agree those stickers you had for your truck looked lousy.

    Lol I bought a air filter housing (I cracked mine) I bought one on carid because it had the little screen inside others didn’t, well the air tube wouldn’t fit and even if I stretch it the special clamp won’t fit , so I put the old one back in and gonna try used on eBay , on top of that I tried to talk to carid , ant they say they never sold me anything lol so I would not buy anything from car Id

    I literally just bought an srt8 style front bumper for my jeep then seen this video..they took an extra 2.32$ for "bank verification" , I've asked numerous times for a tracking number and when it's going to be sent out and still no reply after spending 490$ on a bumper I should have just went to dodge and paid the 1000$

    Why did you start installing the kit in the first place? You saw the quality was poor and some parts of the kit were the wrong shape. It has nothing to do with the store itself, they do not make these kits after all.

    Damn bro. I literally just received my carbon fiber interior kit and it’s not even accurate on every piece. The pieces are either to short or there’s big gaps. It was 175 and I had to wait forever because of the cOrOnA ViRuS
