Hendersonville Tn is a city in Sumner County Tn. It borders Davidson County and the Nashville City limits. Highway 31 E or Gallatin Pike runs from the Nashville neighborhood of Madison into Hendersonville. Goodlettesville borders Hendersonville to the northwest . Hendersonville is next to Old Hickory Lake where a large residential area of Hendersonville is located. Hendersonville has a population of 61,700 and is the largest city in Sumner county. Hendersonville has grown rapidly since incorporating in 1969 from a population of 250 to it’s current population of 61,700. Several country music stars live in Hendersonville or formerly lived there: Johnny Cash and his family lived there. Taylor Swift and her family moved there when she was 14 so she could live near Nashville to pursue a music career. Indian Lake Village is a large shopping , office , and residential development in Hendersonville Tn. Merrol Hyde magnet school is located in Hendersonville. It was ranked by US News in 2020 as the third highest school based on academics in the country. Pope John Paul II catholic school is located in Hendersonville too.
