I'm there nearly every weekend. Great place with plenty of trail. It's all great until it gets hot and the water dries up. Then the place is pretty miserable.

Nice trip in an environment that is totally unknown to me (german) but very interesting. Since the climate change is going rapidly here in the eastern part of Germany maybe we soon get dry landscape’s similar to this one.

Looked like a good trip. I was there last week, we're lucky to have Henry Coe in the Bay Area . I've been eye balling that backpack company for some time. What is the weight of your new pack ? I'm curious to hear how it does with weights around 35 pounds. Most light weight packs don't do well over 30. Since Peak Re fuel got into the freeze dried backpacking food market, all the other companies like Mountain House had to up their game. I also have an iPhone 13 pro, which microphone did you get, and how does it connect to your phone ? Thanks !!

The pack is currently at 42oz. The includes 2 waist pockets, 1 shoulder pocket, extra shock cord on the back, and extra side compression. I have a trip this summer where I will have a packraft and bear can so we shall see how it does with that load. For the mic. Search "rode Me-L Microphone". Its a bit pricy but audio is good and it plugs right into the lightning port.

👍👍👣 good to see u back out kyle... I've stayed in some really bad rocky, and flood zone sites. Always wanted a hammock for that reason alone, but kinda concerned with weight limits... I don't wanna be that 250lb guy that goes "kA SPLAT" on the ground... Can those lightweight hammocks hold up to a larger person?

Check out Warbonnet’s website they have some configuration rated to 400lbs.

What route did you go on in Henry Coe? Do you have a map link you could send me? Heading out there in 2 weeks.

  • @kriswibbenhorstermeister9885

I have been watching a lot of your videos lately, and I know you attach some of your recipes for the food you take in them, but are there any recipes you regularly take and are staples? I would love to try out your faves. I’m headed to sapphire lake in a couple weeks and will need 5 days of food. I have mountain house meals, but would love to take some alternatives. Thanks in advance

This trip was katadyn be free. If I was doing it again I would have brought the sawyer squeeze. Water quality and turbidity was sub par and I find the sawyer better in those conditions.
