- On this trip I spent 2 nights in the Trinity Alps Wilderness. I started at the Swift Creek trail head and spent the first night at Granite lake. On day two I went up 7 Up peak and then continued both on trail and off to Horseshoe lake. On the final day I returned to the trail head via Swift Creek Trail. Overall awesome trip!
Thanks for the post, nice trip from my recliner ............ !
This was a really good video. Good job! Thank you!
Love the videos 👍
I'm sitting on top of Wilson Peak at Henry Coe watching your video. You're previous video is the reason I'm here.
Nice!
@@BurleyOutdoors now I'll have to put a Trinity Alps on my list.
@@BurleyOutdoors BTW the "no milk on cereal 🥣 is weird.
Great video Braddah, thanks for the journey dude.-ML&Aloha Your Boy Kekoa&Ohana.🏕🤙🏽🏕BTW your way overdue for a Canadian trip with Joey.🎣🤘🤠
Thanks for watching and 100% agree on the over due trip. We need Canada to open back up.
Another fantastic video! I really enjoy seeing the scenery, plants, waterfalls and so on. Thanks Kyle!
I think, that it's friggin' awesome that you are doing trips in my neck of the woods! I dig your stuff!
Mine too! I’m near Eureka and hit the Trinity alps often
Impressive climbing, impressive stamina, impressive scenery!
And Kyle, your way of talking about your food always make me hungry. So keep talking!😄
Lol ok will do. Thanks for watching!
Been to granite lake a few times and it’s so nice to see it on video! Beautiful!
Nice to see you out. Bet a trip with Joe would be fun after the last year we've had. Maybe next year.😎
I miss the vids of burley and Joe getting snapped on sailor Jerry’s
Nice video. Great filming, narration and music selection.
Thank you!
Love that you showed the map.
Gorgeous video! 👍
Thank you very much!
Hello 👋 Kyle, it's good to see you again. Greetings from Citrus Heights, Ca. The Trinity Alps look very inviting. You really captured the beauty of the area. The very best to you for your good health and safety. Please keep up your great videos.
🤗
Beautiful video! I just did a trip in the Emigrant Wilderness of off Hwy 108 on the 22nd. Got a bit of snowfall the first day, such a great hike. P.S. Emigrant Wilderness is great for fishing.
Thanks for the info I will check it out!
nice trip, beautiful landscape. thanks for sharing
What a nice video, my friend! Great backpacking! Enjoyed watching, very useful info. Cheers from Russia, Burley, and welcome to my channel about bushcraft tips and hacks! Kind regards, Yuriy!
Yuriy thank you for watching. I will check out your channel. Thanks!
Excellent trip and vid, thanks for sharing! This is the first of your videos that I've watched and I like your style. I'm doing Swift Creek over 7 Up > Deer Creek > Morris Meadow > (hopefully) Sapphire Lake and back on June 21st - 24th, and this was very helpful.
Thanks for watching and I’m glad you liked the video. That sounds like a good route for a 4 day trip. I doubt there is much snow left so you should have easy travels. Have fun!
That was a outstanding all around adventure except for that granola.😁 Excellent editing and narration. Take care, Al
Enjoyed the hike, thanks for sharing.
Awesome dude! I don't know why you're not on 1M subs yet mate! Thanks for the upload!!😎
Maybe some day in the distant future I will hit that.
Love Trinity Alps! haven't been to this trail yet, looks beautiful! Great upload!
The scenery is incredible, it's a picture postcard you're walking through--lucky duck! I was trying to compare (which I found out you shouldn't) this backpacking treking, camping to the canoeing, portaging, rugged camping you and Joe did. I realized it's totally different, but you can take both skills to each type of trip.
I noticed dessert is somewhat the same in either--maybe a few more m&m peanuts lol
Thanks for watching. I agree canoeing and backpacking are hard to compare. Both have a different feeling that’s hard to explain. But a lot of gear and skills are the same for both. I do love me some Peanut M&Ms.
I was literally in the process of planning a solo trip to this area when your video popped up. I recently moved close to the Trinity Alps Wilderness last year and I've been waiting for the snow to melt to set out on some solo trips. Not many CZcamsrs cover this area, so thank you for all your treks and detailed information. I was hoping you (or any of your followers) could help me figure out if I should start with this area, the Four Lakes loop only, or Stuart Fork to Emerald Lake as my first solo trip in the area. It will also be one of only a few solo trips I've ever done. I'm in decent shape - I'm a trail runner. The longest I've backpacked is only a few days and up to 26 miles or so, with not much elevation change. But I do try to day hike in the area as much as possible, as well as trail run. Thanks!
Glad I could help. Have a fun trip!
Great hike! Video quality is insane!!
Thanks good to hear!
Released too late in the evening for me. Have to wait until tomorrow. I know it will be a good one as usual so giving it a thumbs up for now. Nice to see an american eating some other cheese than cheddar😉
👍👍👣
Great video Kyle. When do you think you and Joe will get together. I love watching you 2. Have you ever did a trip with Joe, Shawn, Doug and Mike? Now that would be a hoot.
Good question. Border is still closed and I think Ontario still has their camping ban. As soon as that is fixed we will look at planning something. There is a video on joe’s channel with me joe mike and Doug. About 6 years old in Michigan. Maybe more in the future.
🤙🏼
there's a glacier above granite lake ! well there was 30 years ago !
Great video. Planning a trip for this fall. What book did you listen to? I’m always looking for a good adventure story!!
Looks beautiful! Sorry if I missed it but what month did you go? I was looking at the weather near that area for the next week or so and apparently there will be a major heat wave. Oh and how did you store your food overnight?
I went middle of May. As for food storage I used an ursack as there are bears in the area.
Awesome videos! I have a trip to Granite Lake planned later on this summer. How was the drive to Swift Creek TH? Will an AWD 4-Door sedan be ok?
You will be just fine. I saw a Prius make it.
Thank you!
@@BurleyOutdoors Came back from the trip. We made it to the TH alright and even found the same campsite at Granite Lake. Thanks for your awesome content!
The editing really looks good here bud. Are you still shooting on your iPhone?
Thanks! This video was shot on the Sony a7sIII.
@@BurleyOutdoors Ah cool, thanks!
@@CampingwithSamBananas that's why there's a dozen ads that's an expensive camera
