Okay!
can you guys put a camera on a chicken for a future video?
I miss Clint asking “what movie is this” every five seconds.
Corridor Crew watches Vape God.
Clint: "I've never seen this before."
He did catch Amy Johnston not remembering that she did a short movie with them. And did fight scenes with Clint.
I never understood how a guy with such a love of cinema was so movie illiterate? ;)
@@alikus7 he is not - he is into niche movies.
He is still gonna do react videos, he was in the last one and they said he’s still gonna do those with corridor and also the vfx challenges
Good effects shot: The atomic breath scene from Shin Godzilla.
Could probably do a whole episode on Godzilla movies
The sound design alone is top notch.
Yes. Speaking of time to watch it again
Yes, THIS. I have been recommending godzilla movies non stop. Legendary or Tohos modern godzilla movies would be amazing to do.
I second that!
I'm glad to see some Power Rangers respect here. Usually "this looks like Power Rangers" is an insult, but those suit effects and miniatures are still really impressive in their own right. There's a reason why franchises like Super Sentai and Ultraman continue to use suits and miniatures to this day. There's a real art to it, even if you can tell it's a suit.
yeah it's pretty impressive what they did with both the modern and original MMPR movies.
Dude it blew my mind hearing that city was a miniature cuz I didn’t think of that
What is super sentai?
@@user-zd3fr6gx2d Powers Ranger is the American adaption of the Japanese Super Sentai, for exemple: Shuriken Sentai Ninnenger (Super Sentai/Original), Power Rangers Ninja Steel (Power Rangers/Adaptation)
Except for the Don brothers.
As a person with astigmatism, dirty lens stuff immerses me more because i never knew bloom was exclusive to lens artefacting because my jankey eyes naturally cause light to bleed in unnatural ways anyways
I just looked up what astigmatism looks like and you just blew my mind. I knew I had it from the eye doctor, but never knew what it meant. I thought everyone saw light like that...
@@sssenseiii It's just us, my friend :')
S A M E but boy was I shocked
We Fixed Power Rangers CGI? Or We Made Power Rangers R Rated?
Id love to see the R rated one man
Aw yeah
Yes! R rated rangers, let's go!
R rated power rangers
Blood instead of sparks
“Each time you see glow or bloom on an image, ugh your not immersed anymore”
*Me with glasses*
Same
I forget other people don't see the world though grime and glow lmaooo
Seriously, welcome to astigmatism.
Astigmatism gang
Yep, I think the most annoying thing about wearing glasses is looking one way, they are clean, looking anywhere that has some kind of light and they are definitely not cleaned.
So, I think what separates the "dusting" effect they reviewed from Infinity War's is that Infinity War's effect feels like the volume is dissolving, whereas the one reviewed here feels like the surface is being dissolved with nothing behind it. The number of particles and their placement feels mostly 2D because it feels attached to the surface rather than the whole volume disintegrating. That's just my very amateur take so I'd love to hear others' thoughts.
I completely agree with you. It's like the image is dissolving but not the 3-dimensional person. Very much lacks volume. Nicely said.
I know you guys were asking for guest suggestions, like, forever ago, but I would LOVE to see Adam Savage on this show. Having someone from the practical effects world would be so dope.
Duuuude !! Thats genius!!!
Yes!!!
Yess!!!!!
Yessss
It’s coming up soon.
These guys still haven’t reacted to Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets: Planet Mul scene.. I’ve been waiting for it lol
I love that movie
The only talk about bad movies. Sorry
They could do a few scenes from that movie.
Itll be in the next one.
Yeah that movie was nothing but VFX.
The scorpion & ant fight in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids."
That practical face melting effect is wild.
Was that from Indiana Jones?
@@ethanhenrichs5677 Yup, The Last Crusade
@@ethanhenrichs5677 7:56 Title at the bottom right.
30 years and the face melting effect of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, still impress me.
Every time I see the 2017 Power Rangers I get sad that it never got a sequel like it deserved
Apparently it is getting rebooted with Hasbro overseeing production, so I guess we'll see how that goes
@@austinriley2225 HOW TF DO YOU REBOOT A REBOOTED MOVIE?!!
@@TheGoldenSwitch LMAO IKR?
@@TheGoldenSwitch Spiderman franchise enters the chat
You guys could do a series on Spider-Man films like you've done with Star Wars, LotR and Harry Potter. You get to look at three franchises at different stages throughout the 2000s
Big brain Idea
That'd be cool, though I'd rather see them do the star trek franchise. There's a whole load of stuff for them there, from all kinds of eras. From the 60s through to the present day. Lots of really awesome stuff and lots of really, really awful stuff.
They wouldn't have a field day with it. They'd have a goddamn field month!
yes plzzzzz
nah not enough movies. the batman series of movies however.... we can start in the 80s and end with justice league or matt reeves batman trailer
If they do this Peter needs to be on the episode
That "leap of faith" scene from Last Crusade was a proper jaw-dropping moment in the theatre.
Power Rangers 2017 is such an underrated movie. IMO, you can't make another version of that property that could be better than what we got. It's a cheesy premise, and we got a great version. Actors were great too.
I just wished they could've morphed earlier on, it just took so long for them to finally be in the costumes for a 15 minutes fight scene and then they go in the zords.
@@liquidzero5 Also there was some bestiality joke early on that was so off-putting that I almost checked out straight away.
The only thing that turned me off from this movie is the Zord design, and the Zord collectible doesn't help either. but that doesn't mean I hated the movie, the movie was not bad at all.
Yeah I was expected shit when I went to watch the movie. What made the movie work was it embraced the cheesiness and quirkiness of Power Rangers/Sentai series.
Wish they were their visors more.😆
Thank you! Power Rangers 2017 was dope. As a fan of the show as a kid, I appreciated the hell out of it.
That holy grail scene from the last crusade absolutely terrified me as a kid
Bruh it still kinda does
The fact it is PG blows my mind, raiders is worse and is also pg
Agreed
The melting face from Raiders of the Lost Ark I think is more brutal, and scared me more as a kid lol.
Was thinking the exact same thing lol
Astartes Update: They got bought by Games Workshop, that means more astartes coming soon!
...But not on that CZcams channel. Only on the warhammer community site.
I like your optimism. But well...every video of him got deleted and they only release weird cuts of it on the community-site.
He's a goner. And they probably chained his creativity very short.
Hm...yes, this is probably the truth. But one can hope.
@@annonymoose2543 yeah, i'm with you there. i wish it to be good and that there will be many insane videos.
That's sad
You guys should do Starship Troopers. Always wanted to know how they merged CGI with practical with so many soldiers being stabbed/split in half up close.
Also love Wren's facial expression at the decomposing/aging face lol
Niko: there is no stop motion in this
2 seconds later
Niko: the suit is stop motion
I feel like what he described was by definition stop motion lmao Not stop motion using miniatures but doing one thing, changing something, shooting more etc
There is a difference
@@AlmightyUniden I suppose that the different is what the essence of stop motion means as opposed to the idea of morphing which is the VFX term that Niko was referring to.
You guys should do an episode on the VFX from “Kung Fu Hustle”
Yes janky, but good
They did
They took a look at it in the stunt men and women react thing.
Honestly they should just do an entire episode dedicated to steven chow.
@@brandonjamessharp I was gonna say I remember them covering some of it it one of their videos but I couldn't remember which series it was least of all which specific episode
RIP JDF. Tommy was always the best Power Ranger
15:47 The way Niko appears is sooo satisfying! The way the smoke blasts away, and Niko's movement is perfect!
I would suggest "Real Steel", the whole movie is pretty good but the zoo fight, as well as any of the final fights, I think you guys would like.
i kinda wish they made another one
"Alice in Boarderland" from Netflix has some nice VFX and stunts.
yes !!!
Is it a good show?
YEESSSS
@@kapilreang if you like watching any manga/anime adaptation like liar game, you will love this show
@@B4DF0RCE I like Sci-Fi, Romance, Fantasy, Thriller etc
I walked in on my older brothers watching indiana jones and it was just on that scene and I didn't sleep for weeks and still to this day this scene gives me the chills hitting childhood trauma throwback
I grew up with late 90's Power Rangers, so I was so hype to go see the 2017 movie regardless if it was good or not-- and I was pleasantly surprised, mind you, because it was simultaneously a respectful homage to the traditional formula of the franchise (silliness and all) and an entertaining movie in itself. I had so much fun watching it in theaters, it was like I was a kid again.
The Last Crusades effects is what I miss from movies. It’s not flashy, it’s exactly what it needs to be, ends up being memorable, and it fits. Simple in its highest quality.
That was my favorite Indiana Jones, but that scene left me with sleepless nights 😳😂
Agreed, I loved the Indiana Jones movies when i was younger and I feel like I can appreciate them even more now
"there's no stop motion in this"
"The suits stop motion, I'll give you that"
10:44
"We're not going to ask you so subscribe this time"...
end of video: "I'm really excited for our new video, subscribe so you see it"
well, Im sure hes saying "theres no stop motion on that head"
Had the chance to try on one of the red arm guards worn by the Red Ranger in the new Power Rangers movie. The suits and helmets were made by Weta Workshop.
As someone who animated 3D (and 2D) on my Amiga in the early 90s, I can say that 3D animation tools make all the difference. Inverse Kinematics existed before that Power Rangers movie, but maybe it wasn't in the animation package they used for that scene, idk. But I remember seeing nurbs and edge splines instead of polys being new features. That was pretty cool then.
“Legend of The Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole” directed by Zack Snyder, 2010, day 91.
Just rewatched it and it still holds up, great lighting. Great storytelling.
Its great movie with not so great ratings....many recommend rise of the guardians which has higher rating ,but thats just average child storytelling.....while legend of the guardian was literally one of the best animation plus great fantasy world storytelling.
This a good one.
Edit: Do the scene where they fly through the storm.
Would love to see them react to this video! This is so stunning movie with so beautiful visuals! (☆◇☆)
Broooo I forgot that existed lmaoo dope
I DEMAND a "We made Twilight R-Rated" episode. There's a lot of beheading and violence that is far too soft. Needs the Corridor touch.
It needs the Peter special
meh, nobody gives a shit about Twilight
@@Lewissnicholls But we all love to hate on the movies, so yes bring out the gore!
Dude, YES, That Vampire Baseball Tournament or Whatever (TM) would be a great candidate for a Corridor Crew reboot even lol
One of the things that puzzled me the most about those. What's with the porcelain decapitation?
The Hispo Wolf forms were cool though, only good thing in all of the films.
React to Disney’s Dinosaur, I thought this had the best CGI when I saw it at the age of 8, and to this day, I feel like it holds up.
I am no visual effects expert, but it actually does look fairly decent to me as well which is remarkable for a movie marketed to children.
I'd like to see you guys review "The Last Starfighter" for it's VFX.
If you haven't reacted to Rattatoui, and the fact that they used zero motion capture, you should do that. They have a note in the credits about it. Truly insane animation.
My favorite movie of all time and I didn’t know that fact, holy smokes that’s mind blowing
or the wiggly hands in Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
Fun fact: Pixar actually never uses motion capture for their movies. Like ever. The reason they included that note there in the credits of Ratatoullie is because the previous year, Cars lost an Oscar to Happy Feet in animation, and Happy Feet used mocap. The popular guess is that Brad Bird included that as an easter egg joke to knock on Happy Feet.
I dig them reacting to their own content. Seeing them have that "oh, sh*t! forgot we made this" face is a treat.
4:28 the roll is so smooth because those are 2 actors with costumes on. Compare the previous shot of the Purple mech-guy (I never saw this movie as a kid, I was born in '94 and only saw "Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie" with that weird, yet sexy volcano scene) to the shot where you see the guy roll. The 2nd shot looks like a toy, while in the 1st shot it looks "metallic" and glossy. Idk why they didn't just use the costumes for ALL the effects (probably for time??) but it's for sure 2 guys in costumes on a green screen.
I'm not sure if you've covered it before, but I really love the dog fight section at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy. The scene when Rocket's ship comes in low right above the water looks so good.
The Corridor Crew should react to popular “real” ghost videos
Great idea
Ghost Adventures!!!
Would be very interesting!
omfg yes yes yes
Check out Captain Disillusion. He does a lot of debunking of paranormal videos.
I was born in 2004 but when I was 4 or 5 I would watch that Power Rangers movie 15 years after it came out and still loved it
The “now you see me” saga has some effects that would be really cool to watch, since it’s magic movies it would be nice to try to understand what’s practical and what’s CG, watch the card scene!
Dude this!!! I would love to see a breakdown of that movie
I though they already had?
@@ourkeving no they haven’t done that movie yet but what card scene exactly? Cuz there’s a few
Most of the movie is CGI that wouldn't work in reality.
I know people like that card scene, I find it absolutely ridiculous
Every time one of these videos pops up on my CZcams feed I click it immediately and abandon everything else I’m doing.
Same
Me too.
Same
Ong
As you should.
Just Binged Severance and I could never skip the opening credits. It's so satisfying to watch and see clues about it the show. I would love to see an episode dedicated to well done CGI intros. ( Severance, Game of Thrones, Westworld, new Lord of the Rings....etc..) love every episode. Keep it up everyone!
The scene from The Order reminds me of the effect used in the Myst games when people link to another Age.
An amazing effect is in the first Hellraiser, when Frank comes back to life
If we have not done it, we should do monster theme episodes.
A dragons episode
An aliens episode
A Werewolves episode
A killer sharks episode.
Just go through the ins and outs of each creature in 5 or 6 movies.
I’d love to see them critique CGI spiders and just not tell Wren about it
Amazing perspective. Love this ❤
I love seeing them react to their own VFX. I would love more of this even if it’s just one per every other video. You deserve to toot your own horns, it’s a beautiful sound.
You should react to the curing of Theoden in the LOTR: Two Towers.
I'm pretty sure they have in their LOTR videos
Apparently when they got new spirit animals, they happened to be rolling when the black ranger said “I’m a frog?!” That was his genuine reaction. It wasn’t scripted
That would also be my reaction if I was give the frog as my animal.
@Hai Lpoai what has this got to do with frogs?
It wasn't his reaction, but it was his idea. He also wanted Adam to complain about getting a minivan in the Turbo movie.
I dont know how thats true. He would have read the script before hand and knew that his character got the frog.
2:58 I've done animating things like that before and glad there are ways to have the computer attach it for you
Awesome video again. Great job.
I was watching "Angels in the Outfield" the other day and thought the morphs when Al gets sat on were interesting. You should give it a look.
THE LAST STARFIGHTER! Ever since this series started I have been saying it! THE LAST STARFIGHTER! The crew even did an X-wing test render for Lucas Arts way before eps 1-3! THE LAST STARFIGHTER!
And the original graphics on Last Starfighter were really well done. Too well done. The studio told them "We're marketing this as a CG effects movie. That looks too real, so bring it back a bit. No, more than that. More than that, too..."
@@DannyDangerOz Yeah! Some come on CORRIDOR get on it!
This seems like a good a time as any to say that Power Rangers 2017 is one of the most slept on movies in history. That movie was so much better than it had any right being.
facts
Loved it
I really liked it, and didn’t understand the disinterest - I think was just too 90s 🤷♂️
Had some faults like any other movie but I enjoyed it, and am still hopeful for a sequel
The editing and sound design were on point!
Wren wearing a stormlight archive shirt made my day
Say the words
life before death, strength before weakness, jurney before destination
"Death becomes her" directed and produced by Robert Zemeckis... 1992 black comedy starring Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, and Goldie Hawn :)
some of those shots are amazing to this day
I'd really REALLY like to see you guys react to practical effects with Adam Savage!
That actually would be cool to get Adam on
That would be awesome 👌
The "thank you" to the parents was so wholesome
Hey my dudes! I watch your content all the time. Thanks for the awesome! You guys ever do anything with sound effects and design? I'd watch that episode all day!
Dude that breakdown of the practical effects used for the face melt blew my mind. Whoa.
At 12:32 you can actually see the aging dude's shoulder clip over the actress in the front of the shot a few times
shoocharu?? from game grumps animated??
Nice spot man. Love your work.
Holy cow! Did not expect to see you here! Love your work!
Dude, your work on the Best Band in the Universe was incredible
Dang I can't unsee it now. It's like a giant woman and a tiny doll
U guys should do the transformation scenes in Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit, it’s amazing how good Aardman films look for stop motion films
yes
I would love them reacting to any claymation thing to be honest, even video games like The Neverhood or Hylics 2
There are actually a lot of vfx, from stop motion to cgi that I would like them to look over in this movie
Aardman is amazing but if your gonna talk stop motion you *also* gotta talk Harryhausen.
You guys rock! Thanks for the content!
VHS quality really helps hide the jankiness of these shots, when I was a kid I really thought these shots were a bunch of toys.
I remember the first time being impressed by animated water was in the Disney movie The Good Dinosaur. The opening shot had me confused if it was a real shot or animated.
Did you watch Avatar? Now that water scene is trippy
My first time being super impressed by a water effect was with the game Bioshock. I couldn't tell between pre-rendered and the real-time water in the game. When you start the game floating in the ocean after your plane crashes during the opening cutscene, it took me a minute before realising the game had actually started and I was no longer in the cutscene. Those water effects blew me away. Also the wet hair on the characters in The Incredibles after their jet gets shot down in the ocean blew me away when that came out. What's with plane crashes and pioneering water special effects lol.
Please watch the potions scene from Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed. In the scene, Shaggy and Scooby try out some transformational potions from a mad scientist's evil lair.
I think that they might have reacted to that scene before. I wouldn't be able to tell you which episode it was though lol
Heck yes!
The Power rangers deserve more love!
Not just for CG, but stunts and martial arts as well!
@
Corridor Crew in the Equalizer 2 the bakery e*ploion there is a dummy/sandbag face with drawn on to it in middle of the shot
I already miss Clint saying "I haven't seen this."
Fun fact, I'm one of those chalk artists. Even more fun fact, I integrate VFX into my chalk art with AR so when you look at a piece through a phone or tablet it has more composited on top of it.
I thought Niko turning into smoke in Vape God was more impressive than the guy in The Order disintegrating.
Aweseome video!! As usual! I have a VFX Artists React propose: Ninja Assasin by the Wachowskis...
There are some nice wound-healing scenes and of couse the insane chain-dart fight scenes to analyze.
I love the childhood feels in this video. My childhood was all about the 1980s BBC adaption of The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe... You want clunky special effect, this TV show had them all... BUT it adds to the specialness of it all.
There would be an episode released every Sunday evening on the lead up to christmas and thousands of kids would watch knowing that the weekend was over and it was back to school the next day but it didn't matter because Christmas was coming up....
Specifically check out the hand drawn flying eagles and the way Aslan turned the stone statues back into animals.
On the topic of bad effects...
May I recommend reacting to Neil Breen's masterpiece: Twisted Pair?
... what? you mean good effects i assume
Good to see you on this channel here!
Love your work as well
Holy shit. Do an entire episode on Neil Breen. His work is UNFORGETTABLE.
Eyes On Breen
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
I just noticed at 11:41 the actress's chin actually goes behind the aging animatronic effect, so I'm assuming the stop motion suit is composited on top of the rest of the footage.
I thought there was something off about the suit
Good catch!
Oh wow, didn't notice that. Good eye
I've recently rewatched Chronicles of Narnia and I really want them to react to some of those CGI
especially the second movie (Prince Caspian) the water physics of the river scene and just that one battle scene on the field
The only thing I learned from this video...is that I need to much more appreciate old VFX compared to today. Some of these techniques (and some from other videos) are absolutely insane.
What's extra special about the clip from "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" is that it was also the world's first all-digital composite!
Niko talking up that 2D plant growing in Vape God just after trashing on The Order's finale shot is hilarious lmao
I really love this program and enjoy watching it
You guys should react to the “Alien” Trilogy and the cgi of the actual aliens in general
SUGGESTION: React to the new movie Zack Snyder's Justice League, there were some major upgrades when it comes to VFX in this movie compared to the theatrical release and it was all done by the magicians at Weta Digital :D
Can they react to a league cinematic video
Hope they post a video soon! Been waiting ever since the movie got released! XD
why do you have to sound like an actual shill though?

the first power rangers movie is back when adults were allowed to drink while going places with their kids so I'm sure it wasn't all that bad for the parents in the theatre 😂

I’m watching this again and love being reminded that I’ve watched the Ruben l final battle of the new Power Rangers being filmed. There is a donut store next to where Goldar is fighting!
Got the feeling Jason David Frank volunteered a 100 takes of him rolling to get that perfect smooth roll animation for the Mechazord 🤣
I would like to see you guys react to King Arthur (2017). It has some interesting fight scenes where Arthur fights the bad guys with the excalibur. But they are animated in like slow motion and stuff and I would be interested in knowing how these were done. Also the boss fight at the end against Vortigen was done with a lot of effects.
I remember having the vhs tape for the mighty morphin power rangers movie and it being one of my favorites.
Love the Stormlight Archive shirt!!!!!
You know you've been watching VFX artists react a long time when you correctly guess that the Indiana Jones decaying head was done using practical shots of different heads and morphing! I felt so damn proud of myself hahaha!! You guys are awesome!!
That scene from Indiana Jones where the dude rots away gave me serious nightmares as a kid
"He chose poorly".
Saaaame
I'm not the only one, as a kid that gave me nightmares
I wonder if the director thought about that ahead of time. Were they like, let’s give kids some nightmares? :p
Same. I still can't watch that scene to this day
i agree with Nico, they put all this effort in the hand disolving realisitically then the head just floats in place and he says a cheeky one liner as half his head is dissolving
For good effects there is a shot in the 2014 godzilla movie where they parachute down in the city. Thats one cool shot
Guys I have unique idea for your next video. VFX artists react to paranormal activity videos. If anyone can spot a fake it's you guys. Would be nice to know how they can be faked.

What do you mean? They are literally all fake. There's no paranormal activity videos that aren't some lens flare, or ghosting from reel or just straight up photoshop. The first 'evidence' we had of fairies for example was just from overlaying photo plates. People have been faking this stuff ever since we had photos
