Pro tip for Middle East or specifically UAE: use Emirates Chauffer service, and order rent a car DELIVERY to your hotel. That way, zero waiting time and you could have enjoyed an S class transfer for those 130 or so kilometers from DXB to Yas Island.

@@theturkishrider Emirates chauffeur is a door to door service anywhere in the UAE (and many other Emirates-served airports). As F class pax, Kym would be entitled to Mercedes S Class from DXB to Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

It is not mandatory to tip in Dubai, but it is customary to do so.
In Dubai, employees from Asian countries such as India, Pakistan and other surrounding countries are used in many ways. Although wages in Dubai are at a normal level, these employees often work for the rest of the family in the country in question. Tipping in Dubai is therefore often valued more than in an average Western country.

@@SirSilverFox What an ignorant comment. There are much better ways to "kick it with the rich and famous" than being an F1 photographer. He works his butt off at the track and away from it. Photographer accreditation isn't something you pay your way into either. Assailing his work to boot just makes you sound bitter and jealous. Pro tip: People who are well off don't throw money around or pay any more than they have to for something.

Apple AirTag is probably one of the best inventions ever. You can check and cross-check the whereabouts of pretty much anything and everything. I think I have now about 14 active. And it came to the rescue multiple times so far.
I expect that their usage will be limited more and more.
It may seem like a nifty idea but more and more they are abused for nefarious purposes.
Probably Apple will be forced to limit or completely disable their functionality in countries where privacy is valued.

Nice job Kym. What a gorgeous airline suite. I live close to an airport. When I go to walk my dog by the trail in the area and watch the planes to take off. I'm always amazed at the size of the Emirates Airlines those planes are huge.

You travel the world in First or Business class and stay in expensive hotels but can't rustle up a small tip for the guy who brought your bag to your room - AND you turn your back on him whilst walking away, talking into your camera as the door shuts in his face. Classy.

That Smeg mini fridge in the hotel room looked nice until I looked up the price. Seems to be more $1200 US. 😬

Bad thing about the Rolex is if you have it insured as I do, you won't be able to replace it unless you pay $40k+ on the grey market. I'm on my 5th year waiting for a Daytona.

I had those vegetable chips when flying Auckland to Manchester and back via DXB. 4 flights and each time i thought they would get better. Awful things!

Hope you paid something for the cleaning personal who found your Rolex! It's the least, not everybody is so honest. When they are you have to recompensate that behavior in my opinion.
That's a lucky story about your watch, Kym. I was on Air Canada (yeah, not the same) YYZ to LAX & left my day planner with all my cash in it. Knew I left it 10 min after I was off the plane, door was locked & staff wouldn't let me back on saying cleaners would find it. I was off for Vegas the same day & when the planner caught up to me it was.. you guessed it.. missing the several thousand in cash! F' Air Canada!

@@KymIllman It still stings years later... especially as I was dealing with Air Canada staff who said it was against protocol to reopen the door, even when I offered to be there when cleaners arrived whatever time that was.

watching all of this, it's all nice and cool then the thought of homeless people and starving kids come up... life is indeed not fair... oh well
After big $$$ flight, once you get off the plane you’re just another passenger! You still have to deal with getting your luggage, rental car, etc. just like the economy class passenger. That super expensive experience comes to a screaming halt once you step out of the cabin! Total BS!
I feel like this channel is more now a millionaire flaunting his lifestlye than an interesting insight into F1. Not saying I'm done with it but it feels a bit obnoxious. Jealousy? Maybe, probably, I wish I could do it. Maybe focus on other aspects of travel that isn't so exclusive?
