The one thing I liked about Home Improvement that still makes me laugh to this day is whenever Wilson gives Tim advice he always finds a way to screw it up or say it the wrong way.

I always felt that Tim and Jill were the white Cliff and Claire Huxtable. The chemistry between both couples were so iconic and magical that could never be repeated. Also both wives were perfect straight men for their comedian husbands.
I always like that show I'm just sick of cop shows I wish something like this would come back on more it's the best ever Tim you are excellent Patty you are cool the boys are cool I really miss the show
@ESG271 there is actually a user on her HIcrywishes that is uploading all the episodes of Home Improvement. She is almost done with Season 4 so when she gets to Season 5 you can see that episode.
The thing that makes Tim and Jill's marriage doomed is that while they love each other, they don't trust or respect each other. They also don't like each other. Jill doesn't love Tim for who he really is, she loves the idea of who he could be. Without respect, love is never enough. Jill actually admitted that she married Tim "for his potential" rather than for who he actually is. Tim never once said he would change. He never said he actually wants to change. He's perfectly content with who he is. Anyone who would get into a relationship with someone for their potential instead for who they are is fucked up and toxic. The way Jill always went out of her way trying to change Tim into her liking, forcing him to be something he's not is truly devastating. No wonder Tim can't put up with his wife. Tim stays with Jill because of their kids while at the same time he's looking for a way out of this marriage by going for other women. His emotional attraction to Heidi is the main example of it. In "Futile Attraction" Tim realized that he's falling in love with her because he was obsessively jealous of the possibility of her and Al being romantically involved. He wasn't just jealous, he felt emotionally betrayed by it. His hurtful reaction when he saw Heidi kissing Al speaks volumes. Tim's friendship with Heidi is far more closer and deeper than his marriage to Jill is because Heidi respects, trusts and is loyal to Tim. The reason why Heidi tried to quit Tool Time was because she values and respects Tim's opinions so much that she didn't feel worthy enough to be part of the show because she thought that Tim didn't appreciate her contributions. But Tim was never open about it because he's always kept a barrier between them because he's always been attracted to her.

I hate sit coms because they lie to pepole. They make you feel like life is rosey and sweet and marital & relationship problems can be fixed in 30 minutes
Television is meant for entertainment and sitcom life is meant to make you laugh and escape the reality and hardships of everyday life for a little bit. It's not hard to grasp that concept, but I guess it takes all kinds
