My best friend had a 78 Firebird(red& gold) & I had a 76 Camaro Z(white). The cars were used/old not us. We girls loved hanging out with the guys flirting & 1/4 mile racing. Thanks for the memories, now as an adult my bff& I have a custom 01 SS Monte & an 87 SS ElCamino

Those wheels and decals look fantastic on that restoration! And the sounds of the real life car you had sounds nice. Silver, or even gunmetal gray with red interior is my favourite combination. Looking forward to the next resto, as always!

I have a Hot Wheels '77 Firebird Trans-Am with semi-authentic "snowflake" rims (proportionally too large compared to the real deal leaving no room for blackwall but the pattern is authentic) except it's not 1/64 scale. It's one of those ~1/50-ish scale Hot Wheels G Machines from the mid-2000s.

I would have been tempted to recreate the red one from the movie Hooper. 🙂

Turned out great! I have about 7 of the new 2021 Hot Birds to do customs with. I notice you only use the wire wheels for polishing, Try the yellow multi layer flap polishing wheels in your Dremel with your polish. You should be able to have almost mirror finish on the base when done.
