- les on it! The original no hit body is in excellent shape with all the original paint! All the gaps line up perfect around the car! The snowflake wheels are like new with newer BF Goodrich tires. The chrome trim is in excellent shape the whole way around. This car does feature the original 400 Pontiac 6.6 Liter V8 with power steering, power brakes and factory AC. The factory automatic transmission runs and drivers and excellent! The blue leather interior is in excellent shape. The door pads, and dash are like new with no cracks. The brushed aluminum dash looks new in the car. The radio and all the lights work as they should. The factory floor mats are also included. The original spare tire is in the truck and has never been used. The frame and body on this car is incredible. There is no rust on this car as you can see in the frame pictures. corvette camaro and transam of 1977 to 1982 are the super dinamic cars and the most favourite cars of that to till now.
It has 78 WS6 wheels on it Taillights should be body color and the Splitters look aftermarket. Automatic...
Nice ride....never was a fan of that shade of blue interior.

The Mid 70's Trans Am's continue to climb in value. Compared to the crap you can buy these days for $75000.00. This trans Am is a steal. Love the car. It makes me realize why the styling has completely gone for the vehicles of today. I can't tell a new Camaro from a Mustang or a Charger. They all look identical from the side. The only thing these new so-called sports cars have noticeable is the power and performance. As far as looks go and styling, they don't have it. Nothing like this beauty. What's odd about this car is that it appears to be a '77 model, except for that 6,000 rpm tachometer,
Those didn't start until 1978.
My '77 still has the 8,000 rpm tachometer.
Perhaps the tach was replaced with a newer model sometime.

Nice car for sure but I have no idea why it has red decals with the blue interior. They do have blue decals that should have came with this car to match the blue interior
I am the second owner of a 77 TA just this one with a white exterior and blue interior. Mine has mostly original paint and all of the original decals in the same color as this one and they are factory installed. Seems odd I know but it's true.
I will be getting a repaint on it in the near future and am torn on whether I keep it original or change over to the blue decals I also have a Martinique blue 78 that I bought from the original owner last year. It has most of its original paint and the blue decals on it.
Were there even blue decals in 77? Don't think I've ever seen one. The decals matched the exterior paint and not the interior color in 77 as far as I know so this is correct.
My 78 had that shade interior..wrong wheels too...I'd have to check everything..including..the oil and diff.

The decal is wrong on scoop for the type of air cleaner inlet. So was it repainted?

I believe you are correct on the Tail light panels. My white 77 is identical to this one. Has mostly original paint and the panels are white. My Martinique blue 78 has mostly original paint and those panels are black. I suppose all the black cars eould have had black panels though lol.
I should also add that the black panels do look good o this car though.
You're right the black was added around February or March of 1978 with larger block decals. Also I noticed the bird on the hood is too close to the shaker scoop.
Nothings been replaced....lol...clearly the water pump was replaced. Small beer I agree but still...

Those are the wrong rims on that car, those are from a WS6 car 8 in wide , they didn't have them in 1977 you can tell by the lip. 1978 was the 1st year for them.

I completely disagree with previous comment that this car is way over market price..I have a low mile survivor 79 W72...and believe this car is a little underpriced...a low mile nice survivor is a completely different animal from all the butchered restored TA's out there...then add the W72...
I've been looking for the past 1 year or so and you're right. The ones I've look at are nice, but not as new. Lots of add On's that never came from the factory. Ownership of a super low mileage anything as nice as the one offered. Is better off not being used for more than a ride around town. Engine and trans seals are 46 years old. But still a sweet car. I've seen so many CD players, or boom boxes added and just don't get it. Different folks, different strokes, I guess. Glad to hear you haven't monkeyed yours up. If you do let it go. It's Truly worth more than the butchered birds I've seen.

Better off t.tops are prone to leaking ....standard roofline way better less to go wrong ..... T.tops can be a pain

@@JustMe-pc2ii cool job working at Pontiac I believe there was 2 types of t.tops hurst and fisher .... If I'm correct water would get under the rubbers n rust the sides of metal away thus leaky roof

Not true. I am the 2nd owner of a 77 Trans AM identical in exterior and interior color to this one with most of it's original paint and all of the original decals still on it. Mine has just over 70k miles. The decals on this car are correct and they are the same as mine. Mine is a nice driver quality car that runs perfectly but I am going to have it repainted in the near future. I also have a 78 Martinique blue TA that I bought last year from the original owner and it has the blue decals on it that you mentioned. I will also be getting it repainted as it is also mostly original and needs a refresh. I just purchased the blue decals kit from Classic Industries for the 78.

Nope, this is the way it was built by Pontiac. The decals matched the paint not the interior, the decals matching the interior came later. In 77, this is correct.
One ugly interior color.
