Well they pretty much brought most of bo2's maps to coldwar, so it pretty much is a bo2 remaster. Zombies was great tho.
Twin engine 4 bladed rotor Huey's & twin engine AH 1 cobras in a level set in 1968 ? Come on even COD black ops got the Huey correct in that game. Glad to finally see an actual CH 47 Chinnok in game though.

An in universe explaination for this would be the fact that these are fake memories planted by MK Ultra into Bell which explains the extreme historical inaccuracies in the Vietnam flashbacks
It's a shame that this game got so much hate when it got released. It was truly an experience, I loved the cold war theme and the visuals of that era.

Fun fact: the M16A1 in the game is actually supposed to resemble an XM16E1, but the thing is is that the developers basically took an M16A1 and fixed the three-pronged flash hider that the original M16 and the XM16E1 had. Also, the magazine capacity is incorrect, since the magazines that the in-game M16 uses are twenty round mags, but they somehow take thirty rounds.
Even the UH-1 are UH-1Y Venom from USMC (2008) and not the famous UH-1H Huey (1967)
That is one key detail of these Nam missions that annoyed the hell out of me.
Despite of some historical inaccuracies the mission and the game overall is awesome
because its bell hallucination made ny adler, its not real

This actually my city, Da Nang the most beautiful city in Vietnam.
The Mountain, the Beach view, the place of the airport is impressive accurate.
Be away far from home for 3 years and really miss it.
2:29-2:32 the way the magazine's sides flip back when Adler slams it to Sims' chest. Amazing improvement in gaming physics. And then when Sims holds it by the spine, the way it droops down and wobbles when Sims is settling down in his seat in the chopper. Physics. Amazing.

Grabbed this when it was on PS Plus, the first 1/2 to 2/3 of the campaign mode truly blew me away - as someone who hadn't played COD in nearly a decade.
Awesome level design, atmosphere, etc. just phenomenal! Then whatever the end...was...happened and I felt empty. Oh, Adler killed me? Cheers. Still a COD game.
There is more than one ending depending on the choices you make.
Really wish we got a COD game set in Vietnam. I'd actually be willing to play it. Haven't touched COD in years.

These are pretty good hypnotic memories.
The new COD games have potential but it always slips. They can look great, but they start introducing fictionalised variants of vehicles and giving the weapons odd, made up names that break immersion, coupled with much shorter campaigns that end up with too many plot threads to become muddled. Its a shame, really.

All art assets in this mission were re-purposed from Sledgehammer Game's Vietnam themed Call of Duty. Everything in this level is way too detailed to be made for this game when is had such a suspicious dev time. This was Sledgehammer's game originally before it was take out of their control and given to Treyarch if you remember.

That why the North lost over a million and we lost 58,000? We always win militarily, it's politics where the US falls in its conflicts - leading to loss of an actual goal, lack of public support and an eventual withdrawal.
Anybody with a functioning brain knows not to take video games seriously (especially Call of Duty) when it comes to accurate depictions of history. Although there are some people who call themselves historians because they play Hell Let Loose and World of Tanks...so maybe there is a reason to be concerned.

Thats probably the upgraded version used by the USMC, it should be the base 1st version of the huey (with 2 propeller blades instead of 4)
Yes those are the wrong hueys. Most likely because the manufacturer, Bell, has it copyrighted so I guess COD went for one that wasn't copyrighted by modifying it a little.
