Those dollar amounts do not mean anything to these repeat offenders. yeah, he is a great candidate to drop all felony charges, which included two different guns. good job Marvin the Martian. Now it is time to give him another bond, surely, he has learned his lesson, NOT!

I had a 1.5 million dollar bond back in the late 90s. These people get bond and fuckin run like Forest. Dont do stupid things people not that complicated
I believe the first guy who *got off easy " is because he may have a bigger case in Indiana... perhaps letting him"off" in this case frees him up for prosecution in that case?

Our justice system is a damn joke. They should’ve just thrown out ALL of dudes charges in the 1st case. WTF? It makes me bitter because I look at my situation (one misdemeanor and one felony) on my record and I have and still continue to pay out of my ass fora forgery/uttering charge ($75) back in 2017. Spent a total of FIVE months in jail, indefinite state probation that was ‘generously’ dropped to 10 years,AND a false imprisonment for 43 days because the court had flawed urine tests. Yes, it was proven to be faulty after 43 days of missing work and time with family. Wasn’t even offered a simple ‘sorry’. So I get pretty pissed when I see these repeat offenders literally getting away w murder. I did the crime and I did the time and STILl continue to do so. It won’t stop until 2030!! When is enough enough?? I am all for justice but WTF?? I stopped liking Middleton a LOnG time ago.

I was typing right before Middleton said Marvin was dismissing the felonies if the guy takes a mushroom violation. F THAT CRAP. Debbie Davis would not play this crap. They used to put kids with a few joints in their pockets in jail for decades, until they filled up the prison systems. It never curbed underground use, or addressed the root issues which were caused by prohibition. Marijuana is legal in Michigan for recreational use, mushrooms are practically legal, and are becoming more popularly used as treatments for various forms of PTSD and anxiety, under professional care. Shrooms and weed ain't meth and fentanyl.

On the contrary, it has made things far more tolerable, and has addressed chronic pain issues without the need for opiates. In ways that other treatments never could help. Also, mj isn't half the gateway drug alcohol and cigarrettes have been, for far longer. You must not be familiar with the sellin' singles market. lol
I don't care much about pot or shrooms... but I do care about the totality. The firearms white in commission of a felonies and rifle in the vehicle with that amount of weed and shrooms. Yes, if he had stayed and faced his crimes and gotten this deal it may be different. But after 6 years of running he shoukd get more than time served.
I try to be really measured with how I approach things. Judge Middleton is a great judge, and usually I agree with him. In the first case I don’t, and the second one exposes a problem. That guy obviously is being punished (probably) more than he would have if he was sane and could assist in his defense.
This is why Debbie Davis is running as the Republican candidate for St Joseph County prosecutor.

If defendants keep getting sweetheart deals instead of receiving maximum sentences when convicted, we will never get a handle on crime.
