It might be England's only time to win a major trophy but it doesn't matter. England are one of only 8 countries to win the World Cup. And football did come home in 1966🏴
Yesss via a goal that shouldn't have been counted 👍
@@aaditya2061 But the other 3 should have so therefore it's still in England win. And i can smell the jealousy or bitterness on you.
@@aaditya2061 well even if the goal didn't count, the score would be 3-2 for england so we would've still won it.
@@flivingmedia7881 mate the difference is Germany was 2-0 Up in 2010 and here the score was 2-2 and that goal gave England the lead so ofc the chance of conceding another increases when you are trying to level the score 🤌

@@Lakshyarajkalra there are no accidents indeed, so it's foolish for them to say Lampard goal was disallowed in 2010 in fact it's not a goal at all smh
Hurst's iconic last goal wasn't even meant to be a goal. Hurst just wanted to hoof it into the crowd and waste time so England would win 3-2. However, he mishit it and it went in the goal instead and he scored the only hattrick in a World Cup final.
And you really believe that? I know he said it, but come on????
Why would he lie, what would he have to gain?
In fact, wouldn't his purposely going for goal and destroying the Germans be a bigger boast than him saying it was an accident?

Moore was the best Centre back England has ever had.

The third England goal would possibly not have stood today with VAR. However, for West Germany's equalising goal there was a handball by a German forward, so that probably wouldn't have stood either!

Used to think there was a but of contention over the winning goal and if it crossed the line.
When you see the other angle it's not even close to going over
The ball was just over the line and it was known back then, but you have to see the high definition movie film from ground level looking straight along the line and not from an angle, which does exist but has rarely been shown in documentaries. You cannot make a decision based on the fuzzy black and white TV pictures that are always shown, as the image is just not clear enough.
I don't think that was a goal when it hit the crossbar
@La Rugs No, it would've been 2-2 at that point.
@La Rugs The last goal was also irregular as there were spectators on the pitch.
@La Rugs if it wasn't goal then the match would've ended completely different because the germans would've still been playing and not re-beginning inthe middle and then being forced to make passes to the defenders. So it would've ended in a other result
They have proved with modern technology that it did cross the line
England still would’ve won it

With the 3-2 (Wembley goal) and the 4-2 (spectators on the pitch) I'm not one of those saying that England robbed the title from Germany. Probably England had the best team in 1966. But I'd like to encourage the English (which say Platt's 1990 goal was onside) do the same as I do. Dear English people, you deserved your title, the way we Germans deserved our titles. There is a slight difference in that the 3-2 goal is a 50/50 decision which we don’t know if it went in or not due to lack of cameras. The Platt goal we know was onside. But apart from that I agree, I’m just happy to have won 1
