Thank you for tuning in our USDGC Lead Card Coverage from Round 3!
I'm new to your channel having started watching about a month ago. I greatly appreciate the work you do, and am impressed with the quality of the production. However, there does seem to be one thing missing. It would be great to see a full leaderboard view. I'm left with no idea how many people are even in the tournament. Nor do I have any idea how the scores of the leaders compare with middle or bottom end players. It all just seems to be missing an important bit of context.
I could listen the Champ all day every day talking about discgolf. We need more commentary from him.
We need birds eye shots with very clear depictions of exactly where the OB is on these holes, because watching the hole previews gives you no idea.
"Excellent course design by the Duvalls."
Worst course on tour.
"Those leaves must not have been made of iron." Ha!
Yes! Iron Leaf reference @35:52
Very nice intro ☺️ btw... Ken Climo is an awesome commentator, hope to hear him again in the future tournaments.
Give me more Jamie Thomas and Ken Climo duo! The commentary is great. Keep it up.
Who knew the Champ was a top shelf sports personality. Great work Ken, very enjoyable.
Love hearing The Champ on commentary. Great voice, great insight.
Enjoying this excellent coverage! Thank you!
JOMEZ SQUAD
thx for the awesome coverage!!
Outstanding coverage!
I love all the coverage options (Jomez, CCDG, SpinTV, etc). I am enjoying this particular coverage for a number of reasons: overall professionalism of the production, Ken Climo as a commentator, watching the "new" (more relaxed) Nico and the course designer spotlights to name a few. Thanks!
Great coverage. Really enjoyed having commentary from Mr. Climo. Wish holes like #5 had more ambient noise in general.
Do we need course design commentary each round?
I think 1st round would have been enough. Not that much to brag about to be honest.
Otherwise, great coverage. Also love The Champ on commentary!
It looks like they are doing every hole on the course, spread out over 3 rounds - i.e 3 holes per 9. So you're getting in round 3 the holes they didn't cover in rounds 1 and 2. It's kind of interesting, but also kind of annoying when you're into the round to have to wait for something unrelated to the current drama like that.
Let's go QUEEN!!! 🔥🔥🔥
GREAT CARD! Cant wait to see Nikkos shot on the 888 hole!!!
The sweet, sweet half spoiler.
27:48 Ken Climo finds a way to incorporate "wickets" in disc golf coverage...well played sir.
"What a manly play that was to go across the water" - The Champ
Eagle McManly
Wish Jomez was covering lead card, audio is pretty off on these videos.
Can't wait to watch!
hole 4 nice editing. love to see reactions after putting.
2 lefties, one of the best rightie anny throwers, and one of the best RHFH throwers- I think I see a trend on this year's layout
Jamie. I want to address your comments on the upshot after round 2...Nobody is asking for spintv to cover chase card. Jomez is killing it on chase card. You should give props to their energy and innovation. As far as the spintv coverage goes.... Not bad.
What are you talking about ?
@@JSlizzo listen to the upshot podcast round 2 love coverage. Jamie's comments there would seem to indicate that people are hoping spintv would cover the Chase card.
@@JSlizzo listen to the upshot podcast round 2 love coverage. Jamie's comments there would seem to indicate that people are hoping spintv would cover the Chase card. He made these comments with no mention of Jomez. Just sort of tone deaf IMO.
Where do i get that Tetris headband??
Somebody gave aragog the giant spider some crack and told him to lay down the OB ropes at winthrop...
ROFL
They're talking about growing the sport, yet they make half of the course almost unwatchable by placing the OB arbitrarily around the lawn and taking away the ropes signalling where the line goes. Every tee shot on holes 9-12 I have to wait for the graphics to tell if it's inbounds or not. Even Lake Eureka has it better.
Couldn't have said it better
I prefer the stakes. Not sure why you instantly need to know if the disc is ob. You didn't throw it, just relax and wait the few seconds it takes for the graphic to come up. The ropes look cheap.
What the hell does that have to do with growing the sport lmao. This is a top three course on tour.
@@canadianmagic8402 growing in terms of viewership not participation. As a viewer I want to see the course seperation, in regular golf it's the difference between short and long grass. In disc golf the pegs feel cheap. Just my opinion tho and I'm far from a expert, just an average joe.
@@samahsara9963 every golf course around the world uses stakes. They are the same, they aren't pegs. I have never heard someone complain that they look cheap. The long grass doesn't ever define a hazard or ob. No one will not watch disc golf because they use the same thing the PGA and Augusta National use to define hazards.
West Coast in and out reference? You guys never been to Canada?
I really wish you guys would do more tournament coverage. Def giving Jomez a run for their money.
Why the whispering close to the mic? Are you commentating live on the course? Just wondering.
Oh and I def love to hear the real champ on the commentary! GOAT!
Come on nikko pull it together
Audio sounds like you are talking too close to the mics
“Some beer on tap if your into that kinda thing” - KC 😂 🍻🥏⛳️
why is jomez not covering every lead card listening to this is like having to take a hearing test in a quiet library
I would not say that Nikko has "always had the forehand." I played with him in Goshen, Indiana about 10 years ago - Turkey Shootout - and he had virtually no forehand. I didn't see him try any short approach ones, don't know if he had that but he was throwing absolutely nutty little truncated backhand rollers on rough ground adding tons of margin for error on some of the easiest forehand holes. This isn't to say it didn't work for him - looks like he averaged 1045 that day - but he was adding a TON of ground interference potential on very easy holes to avoid trying a forehand. If he had any forehand at all I don't think I would have seen him putting it on the ground in those woods.
He's preferred the backhand, but it's good to see him using the forehand when that is the best shot shot for the course. This course obviously favors LH/forehand.
@@konroh2 I agree completely - he's totally to be commended for developing the forehand over the years! He's slowly brought it along these past few years, as far as I can tell (I really only started watching coverage regularly 2-3 years ago). As for the course - I agree. This year they doubled down on a flaw I've always seen in the Winthrop Gold design - the holes designed to "entice" players into making mistakes just aren't enticing at all to lefties, the whole mental game that hits the righties isn't as prominent for them. Guys like Chris and Nate can really punch above their weight using a strong forehand and not worrying about the risk shots that the big righty backhand guys can reach for.
@@ChrisWoj Yes, this is Chris's to lose in my opinion. But we'll see.
@@konroh2 I thought that until I finished watching this round!
@@ChrisWoj Yeah, I first said it before I finished. But Conrad and Eagle might cancel each other out with going for it, don't know enough about Tamm, Queen will get local jitters, Nikko won't shoot another albatross, Dickerson's a righty, and Clemons will sneak in there. At least that's how I'm justifying my scandalous prediction. ;-)
Your audio is hissing and sounds like they're on the other side of a wall.
Great job guys! Looking forward to Nikko's albatross on the back 9.
Thanks, dickhead.
not sure if thats ken climo or bob ross announcing but whatever
The Audio is so muffled
Excellent commentary!
Course design stuff has got to go.
It would do well all put together in a course preview video.
Is it just me or Ken sounds like Bob Ross? :D
Much best very like it
Why does Jomez not always have the lead card?
John Blue I believe this is Innova’s event, and Spin TV is Innova’s production company as well.
I think this is the first time I've ever seen two lefties I've never heard of at the top of the card this far in, is the course just so well suited to lefties or are these guys just rising stars?
Logan Witt i mean they are obviously great golfers, but I do feel this is a super duper lefty friendly course.
That hole 9 scream was so well timed with eagles tee shot
Lets see who will win the leftycourse!
Nathan's 2nd shot on 7 looks weird. And then in realized if he did a step out to run a forehand at the basket it would be a foot fault, because the first priority is the mando
Jamie must have been giddy when he saw the lineup for today's lead card. *Two* southpaws?! 😂
They were both on yesterdays card also.
Only critique of the commentary: only Tyler can say "heighth." And Jamie, you'd have more gravitas for the opening monologue without a t-shirt!
Innova I need a signature Nathan Queen star wraith. Thanks :)
good luck with that lol innova be stingy with their tour discs. hell vinny juat got his like a month ago
Locastro on lead card, OH HECK YEAH!
👍
Man everytime somebody gets the lead and starts to pull away...little mistake and bam, they get humbled!
Ken Climo is the Tony Romo of disc golf commentary.....and that's not a compliment. Big Sexy commentary is so much better.
Please... make Ken say : happy little accidents
I truly appreciate knowledge of both commentators but man I almost fell asleep wathing this. Little bit more exitement wouldn’t hurt here.
Jomez is better
Jomez deserves the rights to lead card, not you!! Know your roll!
I honestly am not a fan of these two commentators. Big Jerm and Nate are way better.
I can’t watch Nathan Queen putt. Way too much weird play, I don’t even understand what he’s doing. Too much wrist movement.
This is the WORST COURSE I've watched all year. Pdga needs to drop this course. Theres so many better ones out there
Thanks SpinTV. The Duvall's are hilarious; why are you showing them? Why are you allowing them on the video? At 6:46, he's calling one of the ugliest greens in disc golf "one of the most beautiful greens in disc golf." When in fact, it's an ugly horseshoe-shaped downslope surrounded by not very spectacular cypress trees, and it has no view of anything. 100% lame.
Worst course on tour
Climo is about to put every other commentator out of a job.
Stupid that this course is so much better for left handed players
*chuckling*....one course out of 100 that has a lefty advantage. Deal with it, as we lefty's do the other 99 times.
LOL . As a lefty I never complain. I just work on my forehand and annhyzer shots. And I win on right handed courses . Thanks 4 the laugh
This course is just boring in general. They have to manufacture memorable holes with posts and gates
Woah settle down Queen. You made a basket; didn't cure cancer. Jeez.
Chill with the hate, dude. Hes on lead card in a major tournament and draining huge putts. He deserves to celebrate
Nice coverage minus the bob ross announcer that just sounds soooo bored... zzz
👍
