"that's a German turkey right there" 😂
That's a (heavily roasted) german turkey right there - damn Jussi is giving Simon the heat this tournament :)
I call those burnt turkeys😂
Omg. Jussi is just roasting Simon this whole week on coverage, even though he keeps making lead card 😂
That is the official term now!
I would hate to commentary with my boss if I'm in the card 🤣
"Anttila has a very silent way of playing... He doesn't communicate too much with other players and is very calm and collected."
So a normal Finn!
Greetings from Finland! As like Kimi Räikkönen😅
@@GreatGloves can't forget about my boy Valtteri Bottas 🤝
”That’s called an ’oj då’ in Swedish”. Completely right Jussi, you magnificent bastard you!
'Oopsie' in english, 'Oj då' in Swedish, 'voi vittu' in Finnish
Jep
Voi vitun vittu
Hahahah
When playing bad
Most players: frustrated, angry or annoyed
Simon: sad
Really appreciate Jussi's pronunciation of the Swedish names!
probably knows a bit of swedish
Thats because he is finnish and everyone in finland has to learn swedish
He speaks swedish
@@juska6845 That still doesn't mean Finns can pronounce correctly.
@@JakeThaCake Sure doesn't, and most can't
Simon, seriously bro… watching you play hole one hurts my soul! 😆
Doesn’t he have a straight mid?
at #4 you can see niklas watching simon throw and make some mental notes and mimic simons throw :D young lad still learning and watching others to better his game is amazing.
Superb commentary! Especially nice to see (hear) Simon in the booth again! 💪
Linus is having the flow 🤣
Thank you spintv for the coverage!
I feel like Simon is still injured. He hasn't been hitting his lines like he usually does. He's still my top 3 favorite player in the game. I hope that his game comes around like it used to be. Much love!!!!!!
i appreciate jussi trying his best with the commentary, i really respect the euro disc scene tbh
Good commentary .. enjoying the tournament coverage !
Getting dialed in. Good to see Simon on LCard!
Greetings from Finland! Go Niklas Go🎖️
Felt so bad watching Simon's drive on hole 1 go OB again... savage hole - next year buddy!
He was foolish/stubborn for trying to make it work which he acknowledged. If he just corrected to a slightly less overstable disc he would have been fine.
This Linus guy is crazy good.
Linus's swing is a thing of beauty
Simon and the 1st hole! 😱
Why not put a string between the poles to judge in/out-of-bounds?
Simon has the smoothest right hand in the field. Any field.
Oj då. 😂 cheers from 🇸🇪🤘🏻
I remember Carlsson when he aced twice when playing against Big Jerm and Ricky Wysocki. Looks like he still shredding.
LETS GO LINUS 🥳
Last video I watched was Brodie Smith talking about the term moving day 😂
Why doesn't Jussi play any tournaments?
GG well played
I'm impressed by the Swedish players shredding it on the front 9. But will they catch up with Niklas? Great production here!
Do you want a spoiler
I would LOVE to play this course as well!
Same! So beautiful. Looks super fun, but would be very challenging for me.
Right? It’s like a magical forest on a massive slope with mixed giant evergreens and smaller trees, massive fairway lawns bordered by forest, cathedral like wooded greens, and very interesting rolling topography. It would be an enchanting place to take a walk let alone to play. Looks super fun
Simon, on hole one goes OB for the third time in a row and then says he used the same “over-stable midrange”. There is no danger to the right and OB to the left. Why keep throwing the disc that wants to finish toward the danger? I feel Simon is one of the top players in the world but his decisions are perplexing at times. He could easily throw a neutral putter down there or and under stable midrange. He needs a better mental game.
I was thinking the same. The new MD3 he has thrown has been flying pretty neutral so it or p2 could be good choise
@@kiviknuuti1538 I’ve been thinking this as well. In a recent tournament he kept throwing that md4 and it would always finish too overstable. Not sure why he got away from throwing the MD3
He probably wants to avoid going into those trees on the right, so perhaps a bit more turn out of the hand with that stable midrange. Instead, he seems to keep trying to push it further right but this makes him naturally put more hyzer on it, and naturally have an earlier break towards the left...
I was thinking the exact same thing. I guess he feel like he should be able to make the shot, besides altering game plan mid-tournament is also not always a great idea, but I agree, in this case a P2 would seem like the better choice. But maybe Simon knows something we don't.
Well, an overstable disc basically fades very hard and pretty much drops, it shouldn't go too much to the left. An understable one on the other hand thrown downhill might go even more left, because it fights the fade and stays in the air. Simon talked about it in a recent video on his channel.
Also, if he releases an overstable disc on a flex line it might hit the ground on a less steap angle and skip even more to the left.
However, it might still be smart to change to another disc, because he may mistrust this one by now...
Simon - Thats an oopsie
Jussi - In Swedish its called Oj då!
Hahahhahaha as a swede that made me laugh, so unexpected comment even though im not chocked he knows swedish :D
We have mandatory swedish In our schools. 3 official languages, finnish, swedish and saami.
Hole 1 Simon: understable disc?
What happened to Rd 2?
From now on I'll be rattling the chains with my homies when we starframe!🔥🔥 #discgolfculture

Jeez Simon throw a putter from hole 1 already

Haha ”oj då…” - true!
Leenus? Is that how it’s actually pronounced?
Throwing my.... Ummm... It's like a 10 speed fairway driver... Wait what is it again?
Why didn't he say the name of the disc? It is a PD, right?
@@Johnhwbaker Well how could he forget PD name... I would assume it's a pd but who knows.
@@Valoapina I am pretty sure it was PD. I wonder if it is because Discmania no longer has the PD?
@@Johnhwbaker they actually owns the PD name still, and Discmania manufactured PDs should come out later this year, or early next year.
@@Valoapina ok I see. Maybe he just forgot the name, haha.
If only we could get originals. Stock…lol. Hopefully they will be back on the shelves soon enough in way more than 5 molds. Hopefully they go back to a full original lineup instead of trying to rely on the Evolution line…which isn’t bad now…or God forbid the Active line.
Why would you throw an over stable mid on hole 1 with O.B. left? You would be better off playing a putter.
Simon is absolutely incorrect in applying benefit of the doubt so broadly. According to the PDGA rulebook: "Benefit of the doubt only comes into play as a tiebreaker when the group cannot make a decision, for example if two players see the disc as safe and two see it as OB. If a majority of your group thinks it’s OB, then it’s OB."
What he is saying is if its so close that you as a player need to look it more than 10 seconds than you will not be able to for sure call it OB and there fore you should use benefit of a doubt.
@@KristianBengtsson I understand that. It is a made up standard by Simon, and not at all supported by a reading of the rules.
The game has plenty of high quality international players now. Disc Golf should be in the next Olympics. Much better than, say, equestrian.
That’s a ”German Turkey” 🤣🤣🤣
Super curious! With so many countries represented, is there a common language between you all? English? Or is there some difficulty communicating between everyone?
English. Some languages are similar to others but mostly not
Short answer: English.
I think 27 countries was represented

Oh please don'r get petulant Simon. Get out and have some FUN. Let's GO!
looks like Simon is still nursing a injury.
34:41 knees weak, arms are heavy
There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti
Regarding Simon’s comment on athleticism of the players, I see Niklas much more an athlete than many top pros. I mean look at GG, Jerm, Nate or Simon himself. Fluffy guys with no muscles...
search for Ezra Aderhold :D
That's golf for you. There's no benefit for being extra tall, or extra muscle-y. Sometimes you get folks who are in shape, most are not, and then you get some like John Daly.
I think calling disc golfers athletes is a bit of a stretch. Is a darts player an athlete? I wouldn't have thought a ball golfer would be called an athlete would they? Swinging your arm 60 or so times over a four hour walk with lots of sitting and eating and chatting. It's a game that rewards good technique. A highly athletic person would find disc golf a waste of their time from a sports perspective.
@jerrygarcia099 That's not the case. Look at traditional ball golf. They can make millions, but they're still pudgy. It's just a golf thing. There's no reason to spend 3 hrs a day on strength training and conditioning in golf sports. You don't get any benefits by doing that.
@@subspaceanomaly I think you’re on the wrong channel if you think like that 😂 it’s not the most energy-intensive sport, sure, but athletic people have a better time learning and performing in tricky situations. Also battling the heat is easier for people accustomed to strenuous activity. D1 athleticism isnt a requirement but it sure helps
Anyone else surprise Simon didn’t throw a putter on whole one
This course is actually too easy for there guys.
Sorry if this is repetitive, but I guarantee at least 5 of these dudes would have been top 20 @ Worlds. Let’s go Team Discmania

In marketing this is called a 'teaser'. Builds up the hype & need. Happens all around you all the time.
@@syv2un1 I think the deeper issue is they don't have enough to support the base
Sorry Simon but you're not winning this year and its basically because you never changed your strategy on first hole.

Niklas Anttila won
why though?
Nah theres one more round today
