Hat off to the heckler
Ojeda is out because it costs ridiculous amounts of money to run
And he wouldn't take money from Goldman Sachs, unlike Barack Obama.
@@Joseph-cq3ij Unlike Trump also

I was waiting for Trevor yo use that line tbh

dont call him Flake, thats blasphemy, there can only be one.
That Heckle was a thing of beauty
So, politics is really only about wealth?! Interesting
So only rich person can be president right? RIP usa

We already elected one in the office, aren't we tired of electing another, 😂
Thats not the problem really.Thing is if this numbskull with too much money to burn enters the race it will nit end in him getting near 10% of the vote but what ever amount he DOES get will take away from tge overall amount from the ACTUAL candidates that stand a chance at killing Trump this time around tgus jeopardizing the chance we have at getting rid of him peacefully...believe me i know people desperate enough for him to lose that if he doesn't they would DEFINITELY consider pulling a Kennedy on him.
The church of wealth has poor followers.
Just ask the Kenyan 😂😂😂😂
Sure our runners pace themselves
I’m going to be honest: I don’t think Jeff Flake is the Republican challenger who can take down Trump, and I think he knows it. Good for him for having the wisdom to do what is right for him. Unlike Trump, most people who run for office understand that the presidency is a commitment to the welfare American people and a huge responsibility on the world stage. If Flake doesn’t want that responsibility, he is wise not to run.
Yeah, I think there most be already someone picked for facing Trump.
It's disappointing to see the dismissal of Ojeda, even to the point of mis-speaking his name (the J is strong, not soft). He was a fine candidate with a lot of the right ideas. And the reason he dropped out was not like Flake in that he was too cowardly, but because he accepted that without the big money and mainstream media coverage it's pretty much a lost cause, and he didn't want people wasting their money donating to him all for nothing.
In a way I suppose it's poetic when you consider that the lack of media coverage for any of his ideas was a primary concern, and then a supposedly left-leaning progressive talk show dumps all over him without mentioning any of his ideas and laughing at how nobody even knew who he was. And then we wonder why the system's so borked up.
At least the egotistical billionaire got called out for what he is.
Thank you for writing this so I don't have to
Completely agree. He was a good candidate. Just goes to show that Trevor Noah actually knows nothing about politics. He's just reading out what his team writes for him
IMO, this is the danger of the rise in status of comedians as political commentators after/during the Trump election. Steven Colbert did the same with Tulsi Gabbard and before that John Oliver bashed Gill Stein. These comedians don't go deep into the real political issues at all, but just point out the ridiculous and funny aspects of politics.
I can't help but feel like Stewart would have at least jabbed at the media for not mentioning a presidential candidate.
@Harjeevan Kalra I agree with you, that's why their changed status is troubling, they should just be perceived as comedians, but now in many cases, public opinion on politics is formed by these comedians. It's not their fault btw, media that is supposed to give proper commentary fails to do so.
Thank you Trevor for using the SA phrase 😂😂😂 had a special moment
Imagine being called a billionaire as an insult😆
How come I live in Europe and know Richard Ojeda and what he stands for? Even though I wouldn't agree with all of his views, at the very least look the guy up so you know how he pronounces his own last name.
tjatjarag haha throwing our slang around so nonchalantly
You gotta love that heckler!

Well.. If Schultz thinks running will do anything but split the vote in the Rep's favour, then Donnie's right.. he isn't very smart at all.

2:06 That "safe" thing was actually the competition to Robocop, and turned out not to be safe. Robocop still was!
I will never understand why America gives that much power to just one man
I feel like the USA might just need Bernie...
As an Australian let me say I think the world needs Bernie. In 2016 he was the only real choice.
Its too bad Bernie is older than average runner and has some disturbing ticks when he talks. Otherwise maybe..
After the disgraceful behaviour of the GOP Grand Old Pops..who are many times macho..many of them sleezy old men....they showed their true colours of sticking their feet in the quicksand and not budging from their archaic notions.
Kavanaugh hearing was a goid example and so disgraceful for women's rights.
Some one less than 60 years old is advisable and highly likely to be the better runners in this race.
As a Belgian I feel the same... the only decent candidate (maybe Warren too)
And later AOC (to young to run now)
@@bjornsantens9030 Warren is my second pick. AOC is too young now and she has yet to finish her first term but ONE DAY when she is old enough and she is needed I have no doubt she will throw her hat in the ring. Honestly I believe AOC is Bernie's heir and will continue the legacy.
@@coolwater55 Sometimes his age does get t me but then he surprises me with his vigor. You might get your wish 6 of the 7 democrats running for president are under 60. The only one not under 60 being Elizabeth Warren, while she isn't Bernie Sanders she is pretty close.
I hate billionaires! It's time to restore democracy
Howard Schultz Calls Alexandria Ocasio-cortez 'a Bit ...
www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/politics/...
Howard Schultz, the billionaire former Starbucks chief executive officer eyeing an independent presidential bid, on Monday called Rep. Alexandria
@@catalinacurio of course he would say that. there is no way people in his income bracket can live on the income left after taxes on the base $10M. and then to take 70% of all the dollars over that. the Horror. they may have to wait 2 weeks to buy their next Lamborghini or a sweptail rolls-royce
That's true. They hardly understand the people in need as they have no economical problems.
So you hate billionaires, yet all the money you want to fund your programs are going to come from who again?
@@dewaldt8104 1st no point in hating the person. 2nd the thing to hate is greed and i am sorry but modern economic practice does nothing but encourage greed. 3rd right now in at least north America, there are enough snags loopholes and legal evasion techniques that the taxes paid by people with that kind of money is very minimal especially in comparison with what they succeed in banking.
a larger tax on those people will not break them and would aid in doing all the things that need doing. like new infrastructure, education and healthcare
"Ask the kenayan", haha!
As an Australian, where an election run up is called a brutally long slog if it goes for six weeks, I have to ask...you guys think your election is “so close”?? It’s eighteen months away isn’t it? Wow, I have a new respect for American endurance. Pity it doesn’t lead to better things.
President Flake? Sounds like Trumps alter ego.
Watched this yesterday on the daily channel. Your vids are always a day behind.

Jeff flaked😂😂
HIS LIKE THOSE TJATJARAG HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I liked Ojeda. Followed his house campaign. Pretty surprised The Daily Show is pretending like they never heard of him.

Jeff Flake lives up to his name. "Someone has to stop Trump. errr, someone else that is."
He said "tjatjarag" 🤣🤣🤣 so South African
I love that lady!
Oh.... your trump impression... :)
trevor used south african slang "thjathjarag" meaning forward.........proud
Alternate title : flake flakes, who's next?
Why didn’t he say Jeff Flake ... flaked?
Used to watch a lot of these shows that spin the liberal narrative on things happening in the USA. No longer that big a fan as I realised how biased these opinions are. Sometimes you have nothing but disgust for these conservatives and how they think but when I really sit down to reflect, conservatives really have valid points. I just wish both sides truly listened instead of zealously defended their ideologues.
Love you Trevor
Wow lol 😂
Starbucks is not coffee! It’s failed here in Australia where we love coffee! Take it back, please!
Wait, did Trevor just say "tjatjarag"?
Pace like a Kenyan hahaha...
No no no!
Why dismiss Ojeda?
Dude if I can get a free cup of jo☕ from star bucks😋 yeah he should run🌟
Well, it's nice to see that the presidential run question didn't put Flake's nose out of joint.
Howard Schultz is a really good guy. It was a pleasure working for him.
Trevor knows Trump better than Trump knowing himself.
roasted get it roasted coffee
Basenji!
Nice use of the word "tjatjarag", it's South African for "presumptuous"
I think the worst part about this is Shultz got rich off that garbage he calls coffee
Yet people decided to buy what you call "garbage". That means that he made his money by offering people a service.
Jajjerug 😂😂
😀😀😀ask the Kenyan!
🤣👍🏽
His name is Flake. He eats cornflakes for breakfast. He suffers from dandruff. His underbody is rusted. There is gallium in his aluminum. He bakes croissants and eats them dry. He strips the paint from his house annually. He gently cooks fish. He likes his gold thin and edible. He collects individual pieces of snow.
Brilliant xD
Moral of the day; great app for golddiggers
What’s wrong with Schulz running for president
Jeff flake is flaking out. More flakey than a sausage roll
It's pronounced o-J-eda and not o-hey-da
Ask the Kenyan ✊🏾✊🏾
I am honestly in favour of anyone who challenges the two-party system as the only choices. Currently, America doesn't have a democracy or a republic. Just a choice of dictators. I would take four more years of Trump, if it meant that the two parties didn't have complete control in future, and had to actually pay attention to outside challengers.
Best thing Schultz could do? Drop out in return for a promise of STV voting. Then run again in 2024, when the Democrats have either broken their promise, or got rid of the big reason not to vote 3rd party.
Flake is actually a flake?
Because this election is so close???
Will the political cycle never end?
How is this a democracy if you people wont let anyone be a president?
Ojeda dropped because the media wouldn't give him air time.
Perhaps your team could have sidestepped the irony here had they simply researched this topic. Or, heck, do a 5 minute google search while you're taking a bathroom break.
This episode was a disappointment. You missed a great opportunity to educate the people. Instead this became a fluff piece.
Ojeda should be Bernies running mate
Flakes out
Shultz is a good candidate because he is progressive and liberal but not too left wing
i don't understand that "dont help elect trump"... it smells like bs to me, just go vote.

The reverse psychology joke was from The Boondocks years ago. At this point, most scripted jokes are unoriginal, doesn't stop the delivery being hilarious though.

C'mon Mr. Noah~ if more subscribers you would have, know the difference between Robocop and ED-209 you must.
This clip perfectly summarizes the underlying problems with the Daily Show's humor. The reason why Ojeda dropped has been explained by many people already. The same thing happened in 2016 when the Daily Show's writers were clearly Clinton supporters that did everything they could to dismiss Sanders and his supporters as a serious candidate. And there is no evidence that a third party candidate has ever spoiled the election for a Democrat. If you actually do the numbers and not just make rhetorical claims, the data doesn't prove that this has ever happened. It is just a complaint that establishment Democrats make to try to guilty people into voting for someone who fails to motivate them.
American politics is so weird..
He's a real Flake...
Who?
@@samburger6739 Jeff Flake
I will miss Trump once he resigned, he should have been a clown what a missed opportunity.
I really can't understand how someone that Twitters like Trump does can be a president.. And that's only his Twitter-talk -__-
your bias is toxic.....what happened to the right to choose for yourself who is worthy of your vote regardless of party lines but based on merit. Schultz is doing nothing wrong
This guy is exactly what is wrong with US. Richard stepped down because he knew that corruption will make it impossible for him to win and he didn't want people to waste his money. This clown, who steals jokes from other comedians, has no balls to improve anything in HIS OWN COUNTRY and he tries to berate people who has more balls than he will ever have. Good job lol.
