    Lol my solution for #4 was a lot darker:
    I thought that Michael was the murderer and Jack was the murdered. You technically ARE in isolation if you're 6 feet under and you need both your legs to run a farm, which Michael was going to do but decided not to. I figured the murderer would be in jail so I thought it couldn't have been Jeffery or Benedict because Jeffery planned to make a computer for Benedict next week, and one of the facts said that they had constructed their last computers together. I just assumed the two computers were the same... XD And like the video said, you need both your legs to run a marathon, so it couldn't have been Damian.

    2: wanting to be a lion is not "rational", it's an aesthetic choice

  • @rogerwang21
    @rogerwang21 Před 6 lety +4

    The #2 solution is not the intended one. It makes it look like you copied this riddle without reading the answer thoroughly. It is clear Bright Side has never read The Chronicles of Narnia before.
    This is a classic game theory problem where the endgame can determine whether the first sheep is eaten.
    Assuming all lions are rational and know that all other lions are also rational:
    If there is 1 lion, then it will obviously just eat the sheep.
    If there are 2 lions, then neither lion will eat the sheep as the other lion will just eat it afterwards.
    If there are 3 lions, then the first lion to get to the sheep will eat it, reducing this down to the “2 lions” scenario, where neither of the 2 remaining lions will try to eat the newly made sheep.
    Continuing down this path of logical reason, for if the number of lions is even, then the sheep will not be eaten. However, if it is odd, one lion will eat the sheep and no other lions will eat the new sheep.
    Because the scenario in this video has 10 lions at the beginning, the sheep will not be eaten, and the 10 lions will stay lions.
    QED

    • @rogerwang21
      @rogerwang21 Před 6 lety +1

      If the lions were not aware that if one ate the sheep they would also turn into a sheep, then in the end there would be 8 lions, 1 living sheep, and 2 dead sheep

It could be that he is no longer because he is dead. And in that case, the murderer would still be Jeffrey (it could’ve been Michael if it weren’t for the fact that he moved to the city and the murderer grew up in Chicago with Jack, since it could be that he gave up on becoming a farmer when he lost his leg.)

      The second box has the car and the third statement is true. I’ll tell you why. The argument states that only one of the three statements can be true.
      If statement 1 is true:
      If statement 1 is true then the other two statements must be false. Only when statement 1 is true, only statement 3 is false. It’s true that if the car is in box one that the car cannot be in box 2 so statement 2 is true. That means the car is not in box 1.
      If statement 2 is true:
      If statement 2 is true then the other two statements must be false. Only when statement 2 is true, statement 3 is also true. If the car is in box 2 then it is not in box 1. That means that statement 2 must be false. The car must be in box 2.
      If statement 3 is true:
      If statement 3 is true then the other two statements must be false. This is the only case in which this term holds true. If it is true that there isn’t a car in box 1, then statement one is false. The car must be in box 2 making statement two false. That means that only statement 3 is true and that the car must be in box 2!

      Explanation:
      Only one sentence is correct. Other two are lies. The 1st box can't have a car inside, because that would mean that the second one is a lie.
      The 2nd box sentence can't be true, because that would be a nonsence (try it). The 3rd sentence is true because:
      1: not in this one(it's false)
      2: in this one (false)
      3: not in the first one(true).(this is thr only one that can be correct, others are false)
      Answer: the car is in box number 2.

      Evan Vassil Wrong. If the first is true, then the second has to be true. If the second was true, the first and third can not be both wrong. If the first doesn't have it, as a lie, it would make the third sentence true. If the third sentence lied, the first would be true. So in the process of elimination the third is true. But that doesn't mean the car is in that box. If it is true, it is not in the first box. So the 2nd is lying just like the first. In conclusion, the answer is actually the second box.
