In this video Trevor is breakign down the top 5 linear electric fireplacs of 2022. Out last video in 2021 was so popular we had to shoot another! There has been a lot of changes to this line up with al the new technology coming out. Let us know which of these electric fireplaces is your favorite?
Honerable Mentions -
Amantii Bespoke : blazingembers....
Net-Zero Waterplace : blazingembers....
These electric fireplaces are so awesome we couldnt leave them out. The Amantii Bespoke has a unique flame pattern and large and slim option. This fireplace has a different looking flame patter then the rest and arguable the most stenciled look of the bunch. The Net Zero took quite a fall in the ranks as compared to our video last year. Dimplex has released some new waterplaces that will be reviews later in the video that knocked the Net Zero down a bit.
#5 Modern Flames Landscape Series :
blazingembers....
This electric fireplace is just super solid. It has a great heater and has different color pallets. What really makes this one stand out to me is the mesh screen on it. The mesh screen offers a truly non refelctive look to the fireplace. All of the other fireplaces have atleast some reflection on the glass on the front of them.
#4 - European Home Linnea Series : blazingembers....
The European Home Linnea is a nice fireplace because its large and it's completely controlled through an app. The app allows for custom personalization of this electric fireplace. this fireplace probably has the best color options then the rest.
#3 - Dimplex Opti-Myst Series : blazingembers....
The Dimplex Opti-Myst series has had a huge transformation this year. We unfortunatly dont have the newest version in the showroom yet, but we got to shoot a video on it in the dimplex trailer. The video is here : • DIMPLEX Ignite BOLD V...
#2 - Dimplex Ignite Series : blazingembers....
Dimplex ignite series was out number one last year, but it has dropped to number two! Wow this is so crazy this industry is getting very competitive! This is still an amazing fire place and arguable the best heater. Dont sleep on the Dimplex Ignite!
#1 - Modern Flames Orion Series : blazingembers....
the Modern Flames Orion series has released a ground breaking electric fireplace this year. The Orion is taking elevtric fireplaces to the next level. They recorded flames in a movie studio and have placed the flmaes on a screen inside of this electric fireplace. This has to be the most realistic looking electric fireplace we have seen to date!
As always, we appreciate you taking the time to watch our video. If you enjoyed the content please be sure to leave a like, comment, and subscribe. We have our top 5 TRADITIONAL electric fireplaces coming out next so watch out for that! Till next time.

Number 1 is very cool the way it has sparks or whatever.
Oh yeah, I thought you would like that one more. We think electric fireplaces are going to start heading more in that direction .
I bought a European home linnea from you, I received it in September 2022. I was surprised that it came with a nice remote that can do everything that app does. So far I love it and I just think it looks more real than the others. The only thing I added was more fire glass I bought at Amazon because I felt it needed more.
nice!
Can the Modern Flames Orion be purchased without the heating system?
I have an open fire but thinking of switching to an electric log burner unit. Something missing on these electric fireplaces are flame cycles. Yes a gas fireplace is a constant flame but an open fireplace starts big and the ember bed gets hotter then the flames go low over a time period. Audio is a great feature on the top fireplace. I am hoping in the future they also add scents as an option. They also need to invest in more heating technology such as preset heating options and directional technology. Thinking outside the box if the fire place linked to the central heating and could be used in combination to set a temperature and also give off some heat off the actual fire. I feel electric is the future for fireplaces but probably not as a main heat source but for a focal point.
yeah every year they are getting better and better
But man , Dimplex heat works so good and save money on energy at the same time plus it looks Extraordinary, I use on all my renovations that include installing fireplaces
I agree the Dimplex heat is amazing!
Yes, do longer reviews... you're so good with the info!!! I'm shopping following you!! It would help if you show in rooms as examples of how they look finished off. It gets confusing to decide which works better in large or small settings with a TV or not. Thank you for doing these videos; such a big help!!! 😊❤
Thank you!
You can spot the duplicate sections, horizontal flame sections on the Orion and they’re all on the same timing loop. If they had just off set them by a second, you would never notice. Dumb.
Great review. We are finishing our basement in New Hampshire and need the electric fireplace to bring the heat of the basement up from the typical 55 degrees to be more comfortable. The finished part of the basement will be 800 sq ft. Can we get by with the 5,000 btu unit?
it might be hard to heat up that much space, but it will help! I suggest more BTU .
I am deciding between an electric and a gas fireplace. Thanks for this review!
We have a video on that exact question too!
Dude. You are the best!! Love your videos. You convinced me to not the Modern Flames Orion Series!
It's so cool
@@embersliving didn’t realize it was just preorder!
You are the best!! Thank you so much for all the interesting information you share. Regards Panos from Athens, Greece
Thanks for watching!
Does the Linnea produce heat? Does the Orion? Thank you!
the 60 inch has 1500W heat output on the Linnea. The Orion has 5,000 (110v) or 10,000 (240v) BTU Heater. We personally recoment the dimplex ignite for heat
What about heat output? This video is all about pretty flame colours controlled by apps. Will a 220v electric fireplace warm a 500 sq ft space. Does it matter the size of unit per amount of heat?
Larger ones usally have a better heater. If you want info feel free to search them up on our website all the BTU information can be located there.
On the Dimplex XL Ignite do you have to have an authorized dealer installation or if you buy from Authorized dealer to insure warranty can your builder install it?
Also same question on the Simplex Optimist?
Me
your builder can instal these
The Orion looked good until I noticed that the same flame pattern repeats itself across the fireplace. Could you verify that this is true?
I'm still interested because they might let you download new flame patterns/other features which is cool...if it actually happens.
I’ve been checking the Orion, but there’s a new name I’ve never seen and it’s called Litedeer Homes. I notice it in Amazon and seems to copy a lot from the Modern Flames Orion. A lot less expensive too. I’m really curious about this one but there’s no customer review videos.
I do not notice that in person
@@embersliving Once you see it, you can't unsee it...
do you know of any dealers in So Cal that i can go see these in person? Also, any one in So Cal that you recommend to have it installed at my home?
Sorry no, but you can always call us.
your video convinced me to go with a modern flame orion multi. its going to be the 76". I'm also going to install one in my back yard as well and I will be going with a landscape model most likely the multi as well. not sure if you can be competative being in colorado and i'm in CA
Can you still add logs to the new multi-color opt-myst?
yes but they do not light up
2:52 Increase playback speed to 1.75. You're welcome.
Thanks for watching!
What do you recommend for an electric fireplace placed in between two rooms ? So the fireplace would be installed in the shared wall to be used in two rooms ?
so you want a see through model?
@@embersliving yes. A model that can be installed in a shared wall and viewed in both rooms.
@@dancarpenter419 Napoleon CLEARion ELITE 50" See Through Built in Electric Fireplace blazingembers.com/napoleon-clearion-elite-50-see-through-built-in-electric-fireplace/
you got a video on diff linear gas direct vent
we have a top 5 linear. czcams.com/video/KVi5zB3kMRc/video.html
What do you think of the Heatilator?? So expensive
for electric?
Yes Genco fireplaces here in Easley SC. 5500!!!! No way
It’s called Crave Series
Who would you recommend for electric see through fireplace that is clear on two opposite sides. We only know of Napoleon but not happy with their flame shape. It would be mounted inside the wall.
you could do a dimplex opti myst as a two sided unit
Love the video! Thanks! So, the slim is much less cost. Is the flame box on the Multi 40% better or closer to say 15% better? Thanks
Hmm log set wise I would say yes. And much cleaner lines
You mention that NetZero is too expensive but when I called 2 weeks ago and got a quote on the new multi-color Opti Myst, their price was higher than the Net Zero. Your sales team even suggested that I should get the Net Zero if I wanted to save some money. Was I quoted a wrong price??
Well right this moment net zero started a 20% off sale, that may be why it’s Cheaper. The two units are not quite apples and oranges too, as the new Opti myst box is a fully enclosed box with a heater
Thanks for the great video! Debating between European Home Linnea and the new Dimplex Ignite BOLD - 60" for each. Would you say one pro of the Linnea is that you don't see the controls (temp, speed) like I am seeing on the front of the Dimplex Ignite Bold? I don't love seeing that on the front as I want this to look seamless in the wall.
well it only shows up on the dimplex when you press it, after a few seconds the light controls go away
Check out the Kalfire E-one!
Ok
I have got this and this is for best looking elektric fireplace even better than the e matrix
So the best tech today is basically a computer screen playing a loop of a 4K video of flames? Why not laser projector instead of LCD panels?
wow, when you say it like that 🤣
I would like to order the #1 😊! Can you tell me the clearance off the floor (wood) and clearance to a mantle or tv please? I would like to keep the TV as low as possible. Thanks!!
There are no clearance to the floor. And only 6” to a tv above it! We have inventory right now!
A year since you dropped this video. Has your Top 5 changed? Is Napoleon still trailing behind?
Yes it’s falling way behind
Why did you choose to put an electric fireplace in your house as opposed to gas ? I’m building a house now and was curious from the expert. Thx
Some states are going all electric to be more eco friendly. Also, some people in hotter climates dont want a real a fireplace. Electric is easier to install.
Does the Modern Flames Orion also have the non-glare screen option, like the Landscape series?
not the mesh no
Wonderful item smell of gas a bit upon ignition after that works well . Over powers my home great item
I'm trying to find the different log inserts for the Dimplex Oakhurst model. There are two logsets to my knowledge. There is an older one that I saw in 2013/14 and the newer one with the large logs. Is it possible to ever get hold of the other log set? I have the large logs and would like to buy the older set as well.
Not anymore I’m afraid
@@embersliving What happened? When did they stop stocking the older logset?
It is still possible for me to create my own inserts using a certain coloured resin I believe, for the base. It's only a matter of doing some modelling for the logs themselves (which I am quite good at) and then some painting and some light sanding with some white/gray accents for realism.
I’m from Canada and the Orion is not available for the moment. Thank you for this top 5.
Hmm I am sure it will be shortly
Love the Orion. But, is the OptiMyst the only one that can do full see-through (glass on the front and back)?
Yes I failed to mention that, the Opti myst is the best / only real see thru
What about the napoleon clearion?
With the constant changes, would be cool to see how to do an install, where if you change the unit you don’t have to rip up stone, stucco whatever and then patch it in to fit a slightly different size unit.
Maybe a metal trim that is magnet attached that goes over the front to cover a larger hole or something
The new bold and Orion have tall tops and bottoms you can’t see, a trim wouldn’t cover the difference I’m afraid
You’ve never looked at the spec sheet on an electric linear before lol or any linear
European home linnea series, big driftwood is attractive!
it sure is
Pretty sure the European Home models now have a remote control 👌
they are just now adding it
Thanks for releasing but a little too LATE. Come on bro I got my dimplex but I would of loved to watch this before I did
So sorry we try to release these as fast as we can
@@embersliving all good boss. You’re the reason I got the Dimplex. Thanks for the awesome videos. Insightful and helpful 🫡
