Staying alive, more than a woman, night fever and so many more. The soundtrack to Saturday night fever!!!
Omg yes! This one is not a good first song
Tragedy is a favourite
Over the years, More Than A Woman has become the most enduring song of them, to my ears. And the one performed by Yvonne Elliman, If I Can't Have You.
@@onsesejoo2605 ive always preferred the Bee Gees version of If I Canât Have You, personally
Yes please listen to these tracks! 100%
"Bee Gees" comes from "Brothers Gibb". They were three brothers - Barry, Maurice and Robin. They had a younger fourth brother, too, named Andy who was also a singer and a pretty big star in the 70's. Sadly Andy, Maurice and Robin have all died and only Barry is still with us.
This person is so croecct Yes Barry with the beard is the only beegee left
And a sister who is also a great singer
They are such a beautiful family, my sister dated Barry's son many years ago. May God bless Andy, Robin and Maurice Ripđ
Bee Gees actually came from the initials of Barry Gibb, as well as those of speedway promoter and driver Bill Goode and radio-presenter jockey Bill Gates. (from Wikipedia)
@@FarzynoMusic I had always heard it stood for âBrothers Gibbâ but, yeah, looks like I was misinformed.
ââCause weâre living in a world of fools
Breaking us down when they all should let us beâ Very apt for todayâs world. Right on, Brad.
Yeah. Stop the forced Vaccination crap
@@angelone1839 say it again for the people at the back, they ain't hear you!
@@libbaT STOP THE FORCED VACCINATION CRAP!!!! There lol
@@angelone1839 lol
@@angelone1839 Amen!
Can't believe this is your first. You have a large catalog of BeeGees (Brothers Gibb) to catch up on!
Lex did say she remembers her mom listening to this. I'm curious if she is going to recognize their other stuff.
Speaking to the choir, dude
@@tomrockwood851 ??
Lots of melodies waiting for them
Brad looked to be in a trance before Lex hit the pause button lol. BeeGee's are amazing to be fair
Bee Gees harmonies are perfection.
Interesting fact about Barry Gibb. He and Michael Jackson were good friends for a long time and wrote songs together.
Michael was also the godfather to one of his sons.
âShe used to walk around singing this - horribly.â
I fucking lolâd.
Same here lol
Me too! When Lex said that I found myself thinking Brad should have replied "She can't have been that bad" or something like that. Always a good idea to stay in your mother-in-law's good book! Mom is probably watching. Brad missed the opportunity to score some points.
Okay, if you guys haven't heard Staying Alive by them.... You need to listen to Staying Alive lol
Theyâve definitely heard it, i mean how can you not have but they probably donât know itâs by the bee gees.
Everybody who thinks they're listening to "Staying Alive" for the first time realize they've heard it before, one of the top most iconic songs of all time... and so many have used it in commercials. So, yes, I'd like to see them check it out and watch them say, "Oh! THESE guys did this song?!"
Great choice. Give âToo Much Heavenâ a try if you want to hear some more great harmonies.
Most of their songs are fantastic
They were basically harmonizing together from early childhood.
Bee Gees were as huge to Disco as Led Zeppelin was to rock One of their best that doesn't get enough spotlight is Lonely Days! Classic Harmonies!!
That's one of the really good non-disco songs I mentioned, as well as How Can You Mend a Broken Heart.
Forgot all about that song⊠THANKS for reminding me!! Gonna go listen to it now.
"Too Much Heaven" is essential Bee Gees. I made my wife listen to it with me not too long ago when I found out she had never heard it.
Disco was SO GOOD and SO FUN. It didn't deserve the maligning it received at the time. Check out more BeeGees - such a fantastic group. Staying Alive, You Should Be Dancing, Jive Talkin'... You could listen to almost anything of theirs and not be disappointed
I was 12 years old when Van Halen 1 came out in 1978 and as I finished listening to Eruption I wrote âDisco Sucksâ on the back of my suede jacket!
@@rwfrench66GenX The backlash against Disco was, some theorize, because it such broad appeal with and was a safe space for minorities, especially Black Americans and what we would now call LGBTQ people. Also a factor was the fear that it would become more popular than rock music which would have displaced white men from the peak of influence. Racism and homophobia killed Disco.
Disco never sucked, bro.
@@matt.coburn you donât speak for all music lovers so you canât proclaim disco doesnât suck, and Iâm not your bro, and I donât want to be your bro. I was 12 years old, rebellion was on my mind, and there was finally an American metal band that could compete with the English metal bands. They did for music in the 70âs what Nirvana did in the 90âs. It was transformational! Dance music will always be around, there are good songs in every genre, there are incredible artists in every genre from every time period, but that silk and polyester dance fad didnât last. Itâs sad to some people, others could care less, and thereâs nothing wrong with that. I have Saturday Night Fever and Staying Alive in my iTunes movie library. I also have Grease and Xanadu. My music library has everything from Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa. Iâm a heterosexual white male who has been a music fan his whole life and I showed my support for Van Halen when they hit the scene by telling people my feelings about disco, and now Iâm telling the internet. Iâve paid my dues and Iâve earned the right to have a choice in what kind of music I prefer or who agrees with me or understands my reasoning.
I think the biggest "disco sucks" people secretly loved it!
The best disco was fantastic. Just as the best punk was great. The problem was that too many people became "only disco" or "only punk" (or only jazz, classical, metal, etc) and thought that meant they had to look down on people in the other tribes.
Brad-perceptive and analytical, Lex-creative and emotive. You two are very intelligent and complement each other well. Thanks for letting me rediscover the best music with you, you're my fave reactors, keep it up!
"Too Much Heaven" is another great one you should hear.
Great reaction again! đ
too much heaven is a must!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its in top 3 best songs ull ever hear!!!!
They have some really good non-disco stuff.
Definitely! They had their first success in the 60s, long before the disco era. Different style, but great songs and harmonies!
Yes Brad & Lex, this almost defines "smooth" and "chill". Bee Gees were huge in the 70s. I am looking forward to watching you react to some of their other huge hits. They all won't be as chill as this.
Staying Alive yeah!!!
Yeah, this wasnt disco. It was a slow dance in between disco.
It was just a slow dance , just getting the crowd ready for Disco dancing Lol
Their song Too Much Heaven is amazing! These 3 brothers (and a 4th) had been harmonizing since they were children and they did it so well they made it sound like one really complex voice. Music videos were in their infancy and many of theirs are laughable by modern standards - but no one can outsing the Brothers Gibb!
The scary thing is they sounded just that good live!
If not better
The Bee Gees were so so so casual and Cool â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâïžâïžâïžđșđžđșđžđșđž
I "came of age" during this era...disco. (Yes, I also loved classic rock, southern rock, etc.) But, I LOVED to dance to my Bee Gee boys!!! The dance moves, the lights, the nice clothes...everything was just "magical" back then. And we ALL got along! We were okay with one another. I am so disheartened to see us becoming so divided again. I thought we had truly gotten over all that.
The BeeGees have probably the largest catalog of music across all genres and wrote songs for many other artists. You would be shocked to learn what all they wrote. Keep listening though and you'll see
Minus all their live albums and a million compilation albums I would say Alice Cooper has way more original tracks across 28 studio albums and The BeeGees have 22 studio albums. 95% of people would rather listen to Cooper. He has way better music.
@@joshuamasserant8215 everyone has their own opinion. Personally, I like a few of Cooper's songs but, sorry, his songwriting doesn't compare. My opinion
Not the Bee Gees, not Alice Cooper. The title, by a landslide, belongs to Dolly Parton, who wrote and recorded over 5,000 songs!
Bee Gees - TOO MUCH HEAVEN
BANGER đâïž
I am a 73 year old fat white guy and I enjoy seeing young people discover the greatness of 60's and 70's music that I grew up with. I watched many many of these groups live. It is satisfyingly to see. It actually gives me a warm feeling in my gut. Thanks. I appreciate you.
A deep discography for these guys. Try the beautiful "Too Much Heaven", and "More Than A Woman", then try the other side of love with "Love So Right", and "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart". Then of course my dance favorites, "Night Fever", "Stayin' Alive", "You Should Be Dancin' ", and the songs they wrote for Yvonne Elliman "If I Can't Have You" and "Love Me". Finally listen to that wonderful song they wrote for Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton "Islands In The Stream". Lots of hits these guys. Bubble guts? No man. We didn't say bubble guts then.
CHILL! lol! A timeless song, great harmonies! Very peaceful and calm listening. Thank you, Brad and Lex for your REACTION to How Deep Is Your Love by the Bee Gees!
"Led Zepplin never wrote music everybody liked. they left that to the Bee Gees." Wayne Cambell
The Beegees are second to none. Such a great song for today's modern world. We need more true lyricist in the music world today. Check out You should be dancing, Staying alive or Night Fever. They ruled the disco đ
One of my favorites! This is one of my go-to chord progressions to play when I pick up my acoustic guitar
My Mom LOVED them, Olivia Newton John/ and other Disco groups and tunes back then, so I heard a LOT of it. But I remained faithful to rock. âź
It takes me back so strongly I get chills! I really love this song, itâs def one of their best!! Barry actually has a strong deep voice too we get a hint of it here, such a beautiful voice, super talent, all the brothers including Andy. I canât believe all but one is gone đ
The Bee Gees have a huge catalogue that is worth exploring. There are timeless messages in all of their songs. So little of their career was disco and Staying Alive & Night Fever were written in France but their manager used them for the Saturday Night Fever movie.
A very deep rabbit hole... they wrote over 1000 songs!
They started performing as young boys in 1955. Barry, the taller one, is the oldest brother, the other two, Robin (long hair) and Maurice were twins. They also had a younger brother, Andy, who had a solo career in the 80's. All but Barry have passed away now. They took over the world in the Disco era, but I prefer their late 60's - early 70's material. I recommend, "I Started A Joke" (1968), a song they originally wrote for Otis Redding, but he passed away before he could do it so they kept it for themselves.
Only the Bee Gees may make a music video of them standing in a circle and then walking around whilst singing, and it still be a fantastic video. No bells and whistles, just their pure talent.
This group is just wonderful, thier songs are beautiful, and the harmony and falsettos they can hit is mind boggling. They have such a catagory of songs and every song is great , They are just pure talent
Some of the best harmonies ever
Many a songwriter will have wished they wrote that song. A true smooth classic.
You now have been BEE GEED. The greatest of all time. Every song is legendary.
From the âSaturday Night Feverâ Soundtrack. A great song! Vastly underrated group.
Love the way you two sway in sync! đ
IKR? They're so cute! đ
like a wart on your nose; you've had it so long, its hard to imagine life without it .....
One of the most talented families ever â€
i remember couple skating to this song on Saturday nights , we had so much fun growing up during this time
You too make me smile. You are both so well suited for this type of thing.
Yooo...that record skip edit đđ€Łđ y'all are the best! đđŻ
I swear there's something hypnotic about those lights!
Bee gees are the best
This song hit #1 in December 1977, from the huge album "Saturday Night Fever," and then pandamonium ensued. 1978 was a huge for this album!
đšđŠđšđŠđšđŠ 62YO
Dig that rabbit hole đł
They got so many good songs đ”
1 Fanny ( be tender with my love)
2 How can you mend ( a broken heart đ)
3 To much heaven
4 Staying' Alive ...
...
Keep the good work â
YEAH! Fanny be tender gets to me every time - Here in the UK Fanny is a rude word as well as a very old fashioned name, but it doesn't stop that song breaking my heart every time I hear the chorus and the lift into the chorus and that key changed chorus where the vocals go sky high ... it;s just tremendous - but was only a hit in America I think for obvious reasons - Fanny means vagina here.
Reminds me of Christmas 1977...I was 7....love it
1:40 "background music to your youth" that is such a perfect way to put it
Awe I love the Bee Gees! âșïžâșïžâșïž
First time and such an interesting choice!! Gotta love the Gibbs Boys!
The Bee Gees --- the king of disco.----
Yeah. This...is a great tune.
BeeBees can sing a good mood....
All three brothets have beautiful & distinct voices--the magic is when 3 blend to sound like 1
For love songs... doesn't get much better than this, if at all. đ„°đ„°đ„°
Ok, Brad does stop the music at some very inopportune times - BUT - Brad's still learning, and Lex is so sweet and chill . How can people be mean to you guys.
The lead singer Barry Gibb said this is his favorite song out of all the songs they wrote & sang. Disco!
Ahh, The Bee Gee's... one of my guilty pleasures. Great music. Once a "Death Before Disco" guy who now enjoys some peaceful vibes! Live, Love, Peace!
Maurice really was the gell that kept this together so overlooked so underrated he also was the true musician in this group Rip Maurice and Robin
This is a HUGE RABBIT HOLE to go down!!! LOVE THE BEE GEES!!
Great sound...Great harmony...Solid Gold....
The next Bee Gee's reaction has to be "Too Much Heaven". The perfection is real.
As we get older, you have a more appropriation of songs that your parents used to play when we were children. And the memories we shared with them through music I missed the most đđŻ..
You guys bring so much joy to me. I am so far beyond elated that i found your channel. Keep up the great work.
finally! There is so much to hear, you will be shocked to hear the vocal range of the lead singer on some other songs.
Makes me flashback to my momâs âhouse cleaning Saturday morningsâ. Good times.
Hard not to like this. Feels good and very enjoyable.
The brothers did this their entire lives, in addition to writing hit songs for others.
'Jive talkin' and 'Stayin Alive'!! Paaaleeeze! đ
You HAVE to listen and watch the video by them âToo Much Heavenâ! The brothers are amazing and Barry has the voice of an angel!! Itâs crazy!
This is date night, baby making music right here.... đ
Bee Gees. They are on another level GOAT.
You guys are so great. Really enjoying watching. Lex your enthusiasm is irresistible! Theres a pretty good documentary about the Bee Gees that came out fairly recently. Aren't their voices amazing? Brothers harmonizing makes a special sound.
Jive Talking is my favorite Bee Gee's jam đ¶đ”đ„â€

Their song" Too Much Heaven." Must listen. It will blow you away.
Bee Gees= Brother Gibbs

This band is legendary.
They harmonize like no other so great the way they sound together
the dance scene in Sat Nite Fever to this is great... and the whole film is good
They sang so beautifully â€ïž
You guys are cool, calm and collected. Big ups. Buh buh buh.
Brad &Lex You two are awesome together! You are one of my favorite reaction channels! You make me smile! đ both of you!
bee gees love you inside out
This song is the first one I've ever learned in English (a foreign language for me) when I was a kid in junior high. As an assignment in English class the teacher, who was a Bee Gees fan, had given us this song to translate and learn. :)
Damn Barry had some luxurious ass hair!
You know he was doing Alberto VO five Hollowell treatments on that wig!!
i have to say this. Lex is the most shill and funny woman on the internet right now :-) She's always dancing and having fun whatever the music type. What a couple!!!! :-) Cheers guys
Gotta be Brad's favorite song/video so far! lol...is funny when they look in the camera from the side lol
You two are awesome listening to old classics like that that your parents listened to! I love the Bee Gees!
We belong to you and me.. What a great message..
This is my favorite Bee Gees song.
