I haven’t seen anyone comment on this but the way the music can create organic experiences is amazing. Sure there are some times where it is intended to be a certain way. I remember in the first Garuda fight how the music synched very nicely with when Ifrit activated hellfire. Then I watched maximillian play it later and his music gave a totally different vibe to that scene. Love the unique experiences
Thats one of the biggest appeals of this game tbh, the way the music elevates the fights even more its amazing and gives a great feeling. Deserved soundtrack of the year 🙌🙌
@@pierocolombo2643 Soken, the music director, gave an interview where he talked about how they had some technology they use that would help ensure good music timings for the battles. Which I imagine is a combination of having several points in the music where they can skip to a certain part without it being jarring + manipulating quick-time events and phase transitions (e.g. needs to be below 75% health, but doesn't immediately change until music is right).
Agreed. My first time fighting Titan in the free fall segment led to the climactic part of Heart of Stone playing around the same time he forced the walls of Titan Lost's body apart. Nobody else I've watched has ever gotten that segment to sync up the way mine did.
Pretty sure it is intentional, in 14 where it’s the same composer, phase transition are delayed to meet with the timing of the music And other fights in 16 also have the music jump to specific parts for the transitions, Ultima does this a lot
@@evanlowell1 there is only one timed theme to the scene and its when ifrit is already flying towards bahamut at the very end. during the zetta announcement the usual loop still plays. in my case the violins were going ham during the zetta announcement.
I actually got a pretty identical sync and thought it was natural , it was only in the ultima battle I realised the songs change depending on where the battle is

The beginning of the Garuda fight ost synced with Ifrit jumping up the rocks in the air so well I thought it was scripted on my first playthrough.

God i love this boss fight
Few things so gratifying in life as moments like these.
That was really cool

I tested it and it doesn't do a music jump until slightly later where you're about to beat him
@@jagia2478 wrong. it does a jump earlier than this, and you can see it in every reaction video you can find on youtube

I got the same sync in my playthrough and it gave me chills. Was sad to see it didn’t happen to everyone.
There is another video where this lines up with the insane rifts instilling fear from the intensity of the ether.
Nice
Look so cool but i think the part of the violin fits better
it almost always lines up with the zetaflare

More final fantasy 16
🤌
This is how it would play out if this game got a series adaptation
Nice
