      Good tip. Also, keep a note of the names of the ships you scrap - if you find that a particular named ship drops SAs then others of the same name, regardless of class, will also drop SAs.

    I personally prefer to scan. I use all the other faster methods in addition, but only sparingly. I get my principle large scale nanites from scanning if I am RP'ing an honest game. My secret is patience, as to get the big nanites, you must scan all the animals on a planet that has 6 or more species. You combine that with uploading and turning discoveries in to your science guy or Helios, and the nanites climb just fine while you explore and discover. (ps. with scanner upgrades, it earns good units as well, at the same time)

    • @blazerorb
      @blazerorb Před rokem +1

      Yeah. One cool way might be an investment mechanic for missions. Early game, when you’re poor and don’t have ways of getting things fast, missions have low rewards. Once you have more stuff, and better ways of getting more, then you pay to increase the rewards from missions.
      I’m not actually sure what would be the best currency cost. Originally I thought nanites themselves. But maybe units scale nicer with your save’s “progression”. And the best answer is probably requiring different gathered materials, crafted materials, boss kills, and generally just anything, tuned to how difficult that thing is to do.

There also was, within base paramaters, a spot for me to mine cadmium and nitrogen. So I built extractors and storage for them. Now this mold farm yields about 14,000 mold. Between three medium refiners it takes about 10 minutes total to turn them to nanites but every time I get over 3000 nanites. Thats enough for me, cus all you gotta do is just fly to space and come right back and they respawn. Then while they refine, I mess around with the mines I got. Usually I just jump to my other activated indium mines to collect and then come back, do it again. Good to know theres other methods to help out too. :)

It was painfully slow, this however is much faster. Just a little suggestion aswell, if you’re not to bothered about the unit costs for the ships, just keep the storage augmentations for ships you actually wanna increase the storage for, then you’ve got yourself a storage augmentation/ Nanite farm.

    Excellent video. More like this please as I don't care for duping etc... in the game. I almost don't mind the Mould Farms but since you're relying on them to "re-spawn" it seems like a cheat in a way though you could rationalize they planet is just creating new mould over time. Because of that I plan to setup some mould farms in my new playthrough but like you said can take time to find and setup. Learned a lot in this one. Thanks again.

    That ship method is phenomenal. I had people drop a ton of great stuff in my inventory one time at the anomaly so I was able to finance myself for basically ever at this point. I'm sitting around 1.5 billion. But nanites have been a struggle. I don't want to do it hack way I'd rather do it the legit. I'm definitely using your ship method thanks for showing us

    I got incredibly lucky with my settlement planet quest and ended up building a base on the same planet because there ended up being 4 massive collections of "Curious Deposits" very close to my base. On a single loop I manage around 9k in runaway mould. Easiest nanite farm I've ever had.

    • @TevelDrinkwater
      @TevelDrinkwater Před 6 měsíci

      I got lucky with my starter planet too on my first (and still main) game. Only 3 curious deposits, I didn't even know they were special. Still around 500 minutes every time I popped back to my original base.
      Another good starting strategy is finding an filesystem and smuggling. Which is ironic, since it's honest, but not honest… You can use teleporters to mitigate the enforcement risk, although if you consider teleporting through some intermediate bases to smuggle cheesy, maybe get a scan deflector (which makes it less start friendly). The Suspicious tech usually sell for around 700 nanites appiece.

  • @martakarolinazmyslowska6903

    Runaway mould is the fastest. use plasma launcher for farming curious deposit, after collecting all, save and load, the deposit will be respawned. repeat as you want. then put it all into the (multiple) refinery and do the other thing(or, AFK). If two or more deposits are near use pilgrim for fast travel.

  • @csgentile
    @csgentile Před 2 lety +3

    Excellent video! Those tables help a lot to take decisions in a game like this. Indeed this is the quickest way ... and pretty fun also! But sometimes you don't want or you don't have time to spend scrapping ships and need instead to be going from here to there collecting materials to improve the base or something like that. Those things tend to take several minutes (hours sometimes) and in the meantime you come and go many times, so runaway mould is interesting there too, because it re-spawns on its own, and you can leave the refiners working while you're building or doing other things. Without realizing it, you'll probably get 10k or more in one long game session. And, as typically you'll be playing again sometime, then the process repeats again. So, that's not quick as scrapping, but it's natural with the flow of the game, so I would recommend to have a base near runaway mould spawn spots and refine those too in between.

    • @Beeblebum
      @Beeblebum  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, I do mention the Runaway mould in the guide, but as many deem the forcing of their respawn a Exploit, I kept it out of the list. 😊

    I stumbled across ship scrapping a week ago and earned enough Nanites to buy everything in the tek tree in about 6-8 hours of gaming whilst i waited for an exotic to turn up. By the time i had the exotic, i already had enough storage mods to fully upgrade the ship along with all the nanites i needed for the tek tree... No brainer farming method, fully kitted out for about £20 million and 6-8 hours

    Thx for this compare of Nanit production👍, I'm pretty new to the Game now since I haven't played it on Normal Mode for a pretty long time 😅.
    That slimy crap that drops of chests can be converted at least into runaway mould, I think this could be a nice earning of Nanits by the Way, just to have some more Nanits in between good enough I guess.

    If you're focusing on Larval/Hadal Cores for nanites, Infested or Dead planets are your best bet (in my opinion) since laval cores are just strung across the place and you can usually grab them and boost away before the Bio Horrors finish burrowing out.
    Speaking of which, a good planet I found for this has the glyphs "Diplo, Bird, Tent, Eclipse, Sunset, Bird, Sunset, Diplo, Eclipse, Boat, Rocket, Diplo" (names from the NMS wiki). Hop around the bights/plateaus to get larval cores and go underwater to find the hadal cores.

    I find that the best way is to farm sentinels. if you get 2 spawner sentinels they will spawn new sentinels at the same rate as you can kill them. as long as you don't kill the spawners it can go forever. you getquite a bit of pugneum but mainly you get salvaged glass which can drop sentinel thechnology.
    with a fully upgraded weapon it is possible to get around 90.000 Nanites per hour

    Despite knowing there were faster methods, I found refining stacks & stacks of slime from derelict freighters oddly satisfying.
    The back & forth, back & forth of ship scrapping really annoyed me, but just planting enormous piles of slime into refiners and chilling on my freighter for a half-hour was nice downtime from the derelict gameplay.
