I had mono my Senior year. Missed a lot of school. It sucks so I hope she feels better soon. It’s awesome she keeps a great attitude!

Yeah, I get it if she had a low average and her grade depended on these tests, but I can’t believe that would be the case for her.
At my school, if you have to miss the finals, you have to come in during summer break to take them.
Hailey Coey that is so crazy to me. I get if it’s a cold you should go in. But she had mono. She should have been excused. Here in the UK they would look at all your work and tests during the year and go by that. She should have been resting. Bless her.

@@katleymurris4591 close to death? She had mono. Lmao, and her mom even said the night before this video she was hanging out with her friend molly. In that case you can take a test. And if you don't take finals, it will be on your transcripts when you go to college. But i guess the rich dont really have to worry about much, seems like everyone in this video was skipping the last days of school as well.

Yup I had mono that turned into chronic EBV because I have an immune disorder. I had it for 2 years. I had a lot of complications including pericarditis and had to be hospitalized for a few times due to it. NO fun. Feel better Katie. I am sure since she is otherwise healthy she will get over it quickly. Take care.
My brother had mono in January and he had the side affects/symptoms of it until mid March 😬 feel better Katie!

Because they live at a rich private country club. So everybody knows everybody, they dont have to be worried about people breaking in. And they all think they're privileged, she also doesn't want to seem like the "mean mother" so she has to act like the coolest mom in the world. And has to have the best family and apparently wine in the world.

I had mono in my 2nd year of uni in a different province (so no family support). I also had the strep throat that comes with it. That’s what led me to the doctor to get diagnosed. That was the hardest part. Once that went away I would sleep 22-23 hours a day. I would just wake up long enough to drink and eat something and then back to sleep. I ended up being hospitalized for dehydration. I ended up flying home for a week or so and thought I would have to drop the semester but I pushed through. 💪🏼 It took about 5 years for it to completely leave my system but I still have spleen/liver pain when I am under the weather. It’s been a journey and I wouldn’t wish it on my enemy!
Get lots and lots of rest Katie. I know it sucks lying around but the more rest, the better you will be in the long run. And drink lots of fluids even if you think you are. I hope you feel better soon! ♥️♥️♥️
The fact that Katie can barely get out of bed but had to go to school to take tests just shows how messed up school the school systems are :( hope she feels better soon
There's a tea called throat coat amd it really helps! I would suggest trying it! I hope you feel better love you all

I knew a girl who had Mono in Jr high. She missed several months of school. It seems like the Drs may have better ways to treat it now.
i had mono in fourth grade and then got a relapse of it that Christmas, so be careful about getting relapses!! it was not fun having it again on Christmas 😅 but i slept for like 2 weeks straight. feel better katie, you got this!!

Poor Katie!! Mono is the worst. I had it in college and took me a solid 6+ weeks before I started feeling better. Rest as much as possible even if you think you should be up and moving, you won’t get better if you don’t. And LOTS of fluids!! Feel better!!

JH Vacation! Hey kiddos! My parents left Baltimore 30 years ago and retired to JH. I thought they were Crazy at the time. They built a small ranch in Jackson Hole. Harrison Ford lives on one side and Sandra Bullock on the other side of their property. You might see them walking around town. Go see the Buffalo in the park, lunch at Dornans in Moose WY. Try fly fishing on the Snake or rafting is wicked there👍. Try E’Leaven for the best breakfast in town, but get there early. Have fun and take lots of photos of the mountains and wildlife.

@Brennan About getting a job where you live at where here are some tips: 1.) Figure out what kind of job you want first. Do you want to work at a restaurant or do you want to work in retail at like Target for example? Or do you want to work at a Safeway? 2.) Trying to figure out what some of your favorite stores are whether it be a clothing shop or a shoe store, possibly. I honestly don't know what your favorite brand of shoes are, but for example: Vans. The main thing is try to pick your favorite stores because you should be able to be happy where you work at.
Definitely look into more than 1 place and definitely call them first and ask if they're hiring and if they are, most places will usually have an application online. Fill it out and if you don't hear back within about 1 week, follow up with them esp. if it's a job you really want. But if/once you do end up getting a job interview; research some of the questions they may ask you to be better prepared for it and of course look presentable on the day of your interview. And if/once you get tired, let them know of any future vacations you're going on ASAP so they'll adjust your schedule accordingly. Another thing: Don't always expect to get hired on the first one where it's good to apply for multiple job openings. Target's usually cool in my opinion because some usually have more than 1 job opening...Examples: Sales Associate which is both on the floor and cashier, but they also have Cart Attendant and Fitting Room Attendant jobs + others I don't remember. Here's a good site I've used which is Snagajob.com. Another thing: If you're under 18 years of age, you will need a Work Permit. Anyways, just try your best to go for your interest and Good Luck on your job hunt!

I hope you feel better soon Katie 💛 I feel you with the fatigue...it’s a lot. I have Multiple Sclerosis and fatigue is one of my biggest symptoms. It’s hard and I pray God continues to strengthen you and you get better and heals your body. Love you ItsTheDonnelly Fam 😘

I had mono! My lymph nodes were huge in my neck. But I think I found out around the time I was slowly getting better. I was out for about a month from sports.

I’ve had mono a couple years ago and they also told me multiple weeks. I felt better after a week, so you never know ❤️
I had a virus that was similar to Mono and felt the same pain. Tips that I would give you is to drink teas like your drinking as well as orange juice and smoothies to help you fill you up if you can’t swallow food easily. If you have a temperature I recommend taking ibuprofen and putting a ice pack or cold rag on your face. Sleep as much as possible like your doing and avoid eating “scratchy type” food that will hurt your throat. Instead eat things that will be easy to swallow so you have “practice” or you can get use to eating foods. I hope this helps and btw these things just helped me and I’m not a doctor or anything I’m just trying to help. Also disinfect anything that could lots of germs on it like table tops, counters, or even your phone. I hope you get better Katie and I wish you the best of luck. 👍

I had mono my junior year and it was so bad. I actually got pneumonia as a complication from it. It took about six weeks until i felt like myself again. What helped me with the pain in my throught were cold towels. They released at least some of the pain. Hope you feel better soon Katie❤️

I tested positive for mono once. But the only symptoms I had were swollen lymph nodes and maybe a bit of fatigue. I got off pretty lucky.

I've had mono before and it was really rough for me. But tea with honey was a great game changer. Also maybe water with lemon or even gatorade helps.

I have a friend who was super sick for the last week of school, and the district had her come in and take finals when she was better. We have a two week bumper period for when grades can be added or changed. That allows for errors to be fixed and cases like Katie’s to be handled.

I had mono when I was around Katie's age and I literally thought I was gonna die. It was a rough time 😅 And it lasted for such a long time it was ridiculous. I kept getting fevers for three months and I was extremely for months. I wish you all the best and hooe that Katie feels better soon 💙💪
