Best thing about him, is how good he is in defence. Sometimes he do more things than the actual defenders and thats impressive
I remember a time he shot a corner and run all the way back to France goal to make an decisive save
All he does it’s run and run, he’s one of the lowest football IQ I’ve ever seen, so overrated, when the first thing people have to say about a striker it’s that he defends good and does other thing that help the team, that played sucks.

Messi actually have kind of the same role than Messi in a team but I mean I say it, Griezmann in his best position with good teammates is without a doubt top 3 in the world I mean it's such a pleasure to watch him play, he's a genius i mean his vision and skills are unbelievable I really love this player but barca don't know how to use it and I feel bad for him and I'm sad bcs I don't recognize him playing I mean the barca actual way of play is just too slow for Griezmann

But where was his last defensive move with the massive Mbappe like sprint just before the end of the match??? I couldn’t believe he still had the energy to do so.. Would love to see a video on average km made by players, i’m sure he’s up there also.

Maybe you can analysis Boca-River (semi final libertadores). It is interesting me to see you analysis two argentinian teams.
Griezmann is useless if Barca wants to stretch the play on the wings. His real asset is his link up play and workrate. I would try to get him closer to Messi where they can combine in tandem. That happened against Eibar and we saw the best Griezmann. Some say creating chances is Messi's job but he can be a liability at times since he's immobile and wanders off to bad positions. Lack of width shouldn't be a problem since Barca utilizes marauding fullbacks Alba/Semedo. Of course, all this can happen only if proper coaching was in place, which is doubtful for the current Barca.
Still the most goal involved of La Liga. He's always been behind the spotlight but he's doing great at Barcelona, not spectacular like Messi or Suarez but he's everywhere

How do you think that Barcelona could bring the best out of Griezmann?
Play him in a better position, preferably closer to Messi, don't put him as LW since he's just ineffective there. He needs to be where he can get involved in the build up play. I know someone will say that's Messi's job but if those two can work in tandem then it's much better, and especially since Messi is immobile off the ball.

Maybe 41212 with Griezmann as the 10. Alba/Semedo have maximum license to go forward and maintain width. The LCM and LS would be able to create overloads with Alba; same thing on the right. Both Suarez and Messi like the inside left and right channels respectively, so if suarez is helping create chances on the left, Messi becomes the 9 for penetration. Griezmann can basically do his thing during build up play, and become a second striker when appropriate. Out of possession, or when the ball is in Barca's half , Griezmann can drop back and help overload the midfield. Only big weakness is that the wings might be exposed defensively, especially if the ball is switched quickly, but that was also Barca's biggest weakness under Pep and they did okay then... Sergi Roberto can go RCM as he'll be good at supporting Semedo, but Vidal or De Jong may also work.
Then the only question is does Griezmann defend more in the middle or more on the left? I would go left as this allows two of De Jong/Melo/Busquets/Rakitic to defend the middle (and the only thing worse than seeing Griezmann stuck on the left is seeing De Jong stuck on the left), although it does mean he'll be further from the 10 position in transtition. While Griezmann will have to start attacks on the left, the key thing is that he isn't forced to stay on the left. Barca tend to retain the ball for long periods so he'll have plently of time to get about the pitch and do his thing.
It really wouldn't be much of a tactical change, it's basically a 433 with the wingers tucked in and the 2 CMs a bit wider. Of course Valverde is unlikely to experiment much even when barca are 5-0 up, unlike Pep who would sometimes try out 127s and shit.

Can you explain what are the major differences between playing as a second striker and playing as a false 9?
False 9 is playing as only central striker but dropping deep and playing back to goal, second striker means you play alongside another forward, often more static

They can perfectly work together, Griezmann did play as a left winger in his first years and he has the will of high pressure and defend very close with the left back. The real problem is that Barça are actually playing a kinda false 4-3-3, in which there are not proper wingers. However, Griezmann has been adapting well to the role, even though Barça are not playing that well, and I think he keep the spirit of playing wide, he could be as dangerous as if he was playing in a more playmaker role
The reason he comes back for helping defence and creating game is I think the simione's A.madrid. A.madrid is where he became a superstar. He developed his game in madrid and I think some of his habits are inheretence from madrid. Therefore, I am not sure if he is the right player for barca or not because I think barca needs a player who have top dribling skills like neymar. (not coutinho or griezmann) I think if griezmann were in a team like city it would be better for him.
Coutinho is a good dribbler, Griezmann too but the wrong with barca is that they both don't play in their natural position
