This guy is amazing! Seen him play quite a few times and every time is better! For anyone who doesn't play the bagpipes, you couldn't believe how advanced that is.
I remember when I first time saw this video in 2008 and have watched it like 1000 times over and over again. This truly blessed man inspired me so much that I saved my money and bought a set of McCallum's :) I do not play much, because I can only wish I were as gifted in 10% as he is, but watching this performance brings a tear to my eye. Amazing job Andrew, I'm a big fan of yours lad!
I first watched this about 12 years ago, when i still had dialup internet. I had to wait about 40 minutes for this video to load all the way, so I could watch it all the way through and I have ever regretted the wait.
Wow! As an aging and not so good piper, I must say that I have gained a great deal of respect for Andrew. He plays the chanter like a penny whistle. MacLeod
big respect to the scots from an Irish piper. theyve done us celts a service with their innovation on the bagpipes. Even though Ireland is well known for Uilleann pipe, i play the original good old Highland Pipe. The history of the Ancient Military pipers in Ireland the Highlands is fascinating. Na Gaeil Abú
Excellent playing!!! And a REALLY good looking guy too!!! Nice legs!!! Wish men in America wore kilts!!! We were dancing all around the house!!! Joe was talking in the brogue...GREAT!!!
I still cant belive that some peoples can think that bagpipes sounds like hell! I think that Bagpipes are the most beautifullest music in the world.. and it helps me to relax when Im stressed. I hope that you think the same as me :) Long live bagpipes!!
He also played on a published piping recording called "the young ones" it also featured alen tully and calum beaumont all top class pipers from scotland and ireland
Holy shit!!! Now that guy can freaken play. How fast is he moving his fingers, and I think he is doing either 16th or 32nd notes in his piece. Awesome solo dude.
zaki............you know the scots are not citizens of their own country they are subjects of the british crown............what a shame time the scots grew a pair of balls and gained independance.......alba saor anois...................
The tunes are 1 the friairs britches jig 2 not sure what the second on is called 3 the wise maid reel played twice 4 the fourth floor , reel by gordon duncan.
Absolutely show-stopping. Precision, ability, and ambition. I play in a Gr 4 pipe band -- it's nice to see someone dominate the music that the rest of us are only able to play on CD's. Thank you for the music...
I believe the songs are Johnny the Tree Wrecker, The Wise Maiden, and Upside Down at Eden Court but I could be wrong about them. Either way, this is a great set
gone yerself wee man,we stay in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute and my wee daughter has just started highland dancing and she has been using this music of yours for helping her practice.
F...king amazing, this! Although tunes sound pretty familiar, can't recall the titles, there are hundreds of them dancing in my head, couldn't possibly remember them all...
Greetings from the Cairns Clan! I'm beginning to play the bagpipes this summer, well really I'm starting out on a recorder job, then moving up to the bagpipes. Trying to pass on the Scottish tradition to the people of Buffalo and the world!

@happysmile20111 - The set starts with "The Friars Britches" (aka: Cunla), then moves to "The Wise Maid" and finishes with "The Fourth Floor". Settings for the first two tunes can be found by Googling "Bagpipe Music Writer Tunes" (CZcams won't let me post the link). The files are in Bagpipe Music Player (.bmw) format. If you're unfamiliar with Bagpipe Music Player, or need the tunes in different format, feel free to contact me at Hudson Highlands Pipe Band - email webmaster (link banned).
