    this is the most popular food among filipino high schoolers when they gather at houses to do projects, tasks, research papers, etc. because aside from it is very cheap, it's also easy to cook and perfect with boiled egg ♡♡♡

    Always remember this: when Filipino food packaging says "spicy" or "extra hot," IT AIN'T THAT SPICY. Most Filipinos have low tolerance on spicy food (except people from Bicol).

    Most Filipinos has low tolerance of spicy foods compared to Koreans. When Samyang was introduced in Philippines, a lot of people couldn't handle it.

      I really cant tell the difference. Been eating it often, from college days to present (though i eat less these past months cause of my health). All I noticed was the changed in packaging and they added and removed those crunchy fixins.

      Judging by the thumbnail, the calamansi version that they ate was the old version that Lucky Me revived recently, because it is labeled as 'mas pinasarap' [meaning that the noodles reverted to its curly and thin size (for non-filipino readers, 'mas pinasarap' literally translates to 'more delicious/yummy')]

    The reason why its in a small packs. Because we filipinos eat almost everything with rice. This explains why the ramen pancit canton in the ph has made with strong flavor, because it will be mixed with rice. 🙂 ✌

    Try to cook them a little bit shorter than the time on the packaging, then add soft boiled egg! Try Yakisoba too! Green packaging is what i like best but the serving size is too small.

    I tasted pancit canton because of my filipino friend, and they actually added chili peppers plus soy sauce when they made it. It was good, I wish it were spicier tho ㅋㅋ

    Try our real pansit not the instant one, it is super delicious. Try the bam-e of the Visayan area.

      Maybe its bcoz of the weather. When its cold, everyone loves to eat extra spicy flavor or the super spicy one and when the weather is hot, Filipinos love to eat original, chilimansi etc. Except for extra hot.

    Koreans love and always eat spicy food so they're used to it. Imagine they can even withstand the spiciness of the Samyang Noodles (불닭 볶음면).

      Plus you can sauté it with garlic, onions and chilis and topped it with your desired viand (ulam in tagalog) particularly sisig and raw onions and chicharon and your sauce is vinegar🙏😇

    Some filipino can't tolerate the spiciness level of the chili mansi and sweet & spicy because they are not used to it. But for me, I'm used to eat spicy foods already that's why the spiciness level of ramen and noodles of koreans are a lot better ❤

    "for me" to eat pancit canton the best way, eat it while hot, don't leave it a couple of minutes, coz it becomes dry and totally affect the flavor, when it dried out it will become smelly, it will cause the strong flavor you just said in the video.. sorry bout the grammar😂..

    One thing I realized watching this video. Koreans have high tolerance with spicy flavor while Filipinos have high tolerance with sour flavor hahahhaa like seriously what we consider spicy for us isn't that spicy for you and what you guys consider sour for you isn't that sour for us. I remember drinking the vinegar used as sauce when I finish eating green mangoes

    The thing is, the level of spiciness intensifies the more you eat it. That maybe the reason why u find some of it not that spicy. Or maybe you really wouldn't find it spicy hehe 😊

    Pancit Canton can also be mixed with weird add-ons like Mayonnaise and Peanut Butter. These type of noodles became our alternative food in times of crisis because it's budget-friendly and easy to cook. We also love to pair it with plain rice, boiled egg, and pandesal (salt bread).

    Pancit Canton is considered as comfort food here in the Philippines. It is oftentimes eaten with boiled eggs in it. My fav flavor is chili mansi and i can eat five packs in one sitting!..😋😋😋

    Here in the Philippines, when we are working/complying/completing on our thesis (we usually “by group” when doing thesis), there’s always one person assigned in cooking pancit canton while the others doing the thesis. In short, pancit canton is a must have in doing thesis overnight.

      Agreed. The only flavor I can eat are the original and extra hot. It's annoying that I have a hard time looking for the original flavor from the local stores (tindahan) since they only have chilimansi/calamansi only. Especially during the quarantine.
